I think articles like this are incredibly important but it sickens me how much effort they put into ignoring the gender aspect of issues like this. Black people are 2.5 times as likely as white people to be killed by the police. Men are 24 times as likely as women to be killed by the police. Yep. And in typical fashion, the users of AITA hate people disagreeing with them or pointing out their gender bias, but they can never come up with a rebuttal. The number of comments I have sitting at -10 with zero responses is hilarious to me. They know I'm right. They know they have no counter argument. Gotta love it. Top comment saying that the friend is an idiot, as if that means the ex-girlfriend isn't also an asshole. As if only one can be true at a time.
