Confirmation bias at it's very best. The trick is not to do this on an open forum where just anybody can have an opinion but to select a friendlier forum, e.g. "Angry frustrated women who hate all men" and have your poll there for better results. ;-)

"Morons, Morons everywhere..". To which I replied, "..but not a stop to think!", a surprising number of people downvoted that comment, leading me to postulate: Rule #1) Stupid people downvote what they don't understand, not understanding makes them feel all dumb and cranky. Exactly, and that why the right flipped out when Trump lost re-election, they thought everyone would vote for him because everyone they knew was voting for him and thus ignored their aroused opposition. It is wise to listen to people even if you don't agree with everything they say, but you should know who and how many are saying what. Be warned however that this make cost you some karma but it is a wise investment.

Having a beer one time, I and some other guys started talking a subject of interest to us when the woman listening rolled her eyes and pronounced the subject as too boring. We switched to an insipid topic out of deference to her. Soon she rolled her again and accused us of dumbing things down for her. I had to remind her the discussion could be deep or light but so couldn't have them both at the same time. We then returned to our previous subject as she sat stewing.
