I don't think that postponing a date due to work is that bad, but surely you have some idea about what time you're going to finish work for the day before right when the date is starting? Personally, I would want a lot more notice. If I got cancelled on like that, I would assume the other person was no longer interested.

Yeah, you probably know more than me lmao. They've only passed the bill in Victoria that Engineers need registration. The other details are up in air. All I know is that Engineers might need to get malpractice insurance, with is another money grabbing ploy by EA, seeing that they own EngInsure, a huge market player.

Engineer is a protected title in Queensland, and Victoria now. The Andrews Government passed the bill about 2 months ago now? I think the exact title was Certified Practicing Engineer? The framework currently looks really rough - basically any fully qualified Professional members of EA, with a couple of years work experience can apply to be recognised as one. They have stated though that individuals can work under a CPE, but the CPE needs to sign off on all work. I guess unless they go back and …

How would that work though? They are never going to be allowed to register with Engineers Australia, unless they go back and do post grad Eng. Figured this would be something important, especially with that new registration bill the State Gov. passed. They won't be able to progress past entry level.

Doesn't have to be specifically in the same workplace as well. Generally really helpful for any career related advice, because they were in your shoes a few years ago. Great help from stuff like resume critiquing to giving you heads up on job opportunities.

I dunno, I think there should be some limitations to the extent of private property rights, especially in regards to serving someone, if you're in control of an essential resource, or a monopoly. You definitely should be allowed to refuse to serve an individual, because you don't like them for what ever reason, but providing blanket bans against whatever group just seems extreme.

Insurance pricing is based off actuarial calculations though. Men have a higher accident rate than women in the 18 - 25 age bracket. It's like how women have to pay more for health and life insurance, as they have a longer life expectancy, and experience higher medical costs more often than men do.

I did a bit more reading online, and it seems that the point of the bail is to ensure good conduct, and a guarantee of continued appearances in court. Seems like both are considered in deciding the bond.

Nothing wrong with going to university, just be realistic about employment prospects, and future value of the degree. Just like how there isn't anything wrong with not going to uni. You just have to make a decision on which is the best path for you.

When talking about wage though, shouldn't you take median wage, which is about $54k? I thought average wage was not that useful of a figure as it's positively skewed by super high income individuals such as CEOs and whatnot.
