This post resonates very strongly with me, because it is very similar to my own RP experience. Lifting, quitting video games, quitting TV, quitting social media, and increasing focus on career, hobbies, and skills all make you a happier person. You know all that stuff Aristotle wrote about virtue being the key to happiness? I'm thinking he might have been onto something there.

I trickle-truthed her that little bombshell. About a month after unplugging, I did a silent next- no more texts, no more asking to hang out, no more orbiting her during social gatherings, etc. Figured I would just walk away quietly. Couple weeks after that she comes up to me and asks how I'm doing. I reply in a truly happy and confident tone that a lot is going on for me- starting again at the gym, classes, internship, getting rid of negative influences like Netflix and computer games. At that l…

Negatives- the flip-side of her having a high-octane brain is that she can be pretty neurotic sometimes. Doesn't know how to care for herself during high-stress events such as midterms week. Occasionally goes depressive, and up until recently, I was emotional tampon #3 during these depressive stages, because I am VERY good at motivating other people, just by talking to them. It's kind of a gift I have. Good with words. I'm under no illusions anymore about her suitability for LTR. She friend-zone…

I've increased time spent on my studies- went from a C to a B average on my midterms. The new part-time job and getting to the gym to lift have taken up quite a lot of time on my daily schedule as well. My sleep schedule is definitely healthier now- no more marathon 6pm-1am sessions of Battlefield 4. Instead, I'm down for a full 8 hours, and sometimes I even have time for a siesta or a leisurely walk around campus on Saturday afternoons. Not much free time outside school, so not a lot to report …

Ditto, OP. TRP has made me happy, and women haven't even entered the picture yet. Like Dennis Prager always says- Happiness is a choice. In choosing the Red Pill, we've chosen to take our lives and fortunes into our own hands, to take responsibility for our own actions. We have chosen to be happy. This rocks. Unplugged for about 3 months now. Quit all computer games cold turkey (hardest thing I've ever done!), cancelled Netflix, started lifting, started new job, continuing at school pursuing a B…
