I mean it could honestly be a billion things at that point honestly and it's almost impossible to know unless you know what she did after you broke up. And even then it's still iffy unless you have solid evidence. But it sounds like you came out on the better end being married for 20 years now.

I see what you're getting at and I do fully accept there came a point in that relationship where I was ignoring the issue and trying to "solve" the problems. It honestly is hard to accept that someone like my 3rd ex who seemed so genuine and good turned out to be such a vile and terrible person I'll admit I still struggle with accepting that sometimes tbh.

To be honest I'm not to overly worried. I have multiple messages documenting her being manipulative and abusive and she has 0 evidence showing that I've done anything to her because I haven't. I also have multiple witnesses who can attest to how terrible of person she is because the way she behaves doesn't just stop at me. She actively tries to get people at her job in trouble to make herself look better and everyone is aware of it not to mention the other messages of her blatantly lying to me a…

I'll concede this the first year was like any normal relationship. The second year we moved in and red flags started popping up. The last year was when I should have got the fuck out but was to scared / stupid to do so. Honestly I probably should have got the fuck out 1/2 way through the second year. My main point is that unlike my last two ex-gfs the 3rd ex was not a walking red flag like the other two. She was good at hiding who she was at first. I'm not saying I didn't ignore red flags or try…

There 100% were signs but they just weren't the obvious in your face signs. For ex. when we started living together she was not a clean person I am. At first she was kind of open to talking about it but it was always the same thing we'd talk about it she'd burst out into tears immediately and say she was trying or I thought I was doing better etc etc and then make me feel guilty for bringing it up and then she would get better for about two weeks and then it would get worse again. That was how e…

Yeah you're not wrong. My first two relationships we're me being stupid and ignoring obvious signs but I was young and new to dating. My last ex-gf though... she's the type of person that after you date her she makes you question everyone and everything. I'm not 100% sure if she had NPD or what it was but she seemed so nice, funny, etc. She had a good family, was going to college, had a decent job, seemed super caring and nice and everything. Basically she was the type of girl you bring home to …
