Hey, the day is gaining more and more traction each year and I'm all here for it. Just keep focusing on the positivity. I've already seen plenty of posts celebrate the day that don't even bring up women. If we spread this day without negativity, it will gain more traction in all circles. Use this day to focus on us. I guess that's why hospital technology has improved. The minute our boys were born, hospitals put digital tags on each of the boys that were unique to them and they didn't come off until we were out of the hospital and they were in car seats. They couldn't move from room to room without placing the tags in transit mode either. I guess with that line of reasoning you're right. I wasn't talking about sexual abuse against children. These were all cases (minus Turner) of sexual abuse against victims who happen to be children. Also But that could be because some cases are like the ones you have here; like the girl only being two years younger, or the boy also being underage. So not necessarily a bad thing. This was still rape so I would say it's a bad thing.

Societal pressures. My in laws judge my wife's cousin because her husband earns less and they made the decision to take the girl out of daycare and make husband a stay at home dad. Apparently it's only okay if the woman stays at home even if the husband has way less earning potential. I think men a lot of the times downplay their own safety too. I just came back from a bachelor party weekend and each night two of the guys would just wander off and we wouldn't hear or see from them until the next afternoon. I'm just trying to illustrate that there's many facets of society where we blindly place trust in someone else and they could betray it so easily and we'd be none the wiser, yet we continue to trust them. With that said, if you have doubts about paternity you should do whatever you need to do to check. I just don't think we need to add the government to it automatically. There's no doubt you can never know 100% but for many people, they don't need to know 100%. You don't know 100% that the worker at a restaurant didn't poison your food, but yet people aren't taking their food to get tested before consuming it. That's just part of the human experience. Trust.

No they didn't. This was our company policy. Nothing to do with law, so they have more room to discipline as they see fit. Ensuring the patrons' safety also included reporting incidents and providing aid on company propety. These kinds of situations was outlined very clearly in our orientations and employee handbook.

They might not have a legal responsibility, but if it's known that an assault happened on their grounds and that an employee knew and didn't either report it to authorities or management, there could be consequences from the facility. I used to work at a rec facility and this would be one of the things they teach us. They don't expect us to be heroes and stop attacks, quite the opposite actually, but they do expect us to report these things and render any aid if possible.
