You're thinking of the Solvay conferences in physics. This picture is from the first Solvay conference in chemistry, at which Mme. Curie was curiously not present.

Thought this was going to be straight out of r/tendies based on the title.

IMO Calc II is a joke, but Orgo is slightly annoying (not hard) due to the sheer amount of memorization. I'm more of a math/physics guy anyway. Once you get past the weed-out classes, things start to get rather more interesting. Also, the curves are nice. I've heard tales of a Stat Mech final that was curved so a 55 corresponded to a B+.

A lot of STEM fields do require intelligence, though. Good luck teaching the average Joe QFT, complex analysis, or structural bioinformatics. Gender studies, on the other hand...

I'm guessing that the study whose results they presumably expect you to have memorized was conducted solely on white children or that observed ranges differ by race. The methodology is suspect from the very start, since it would be extremely difficult to obtain an objective measure of "prejudices [sic] feelings." Even assuming that prejudice is a valid, stable, internally-consistent construct, results might be confounded by social pressures to mask one's own prejudices, especially in whites.

So she wants women to be owned by men, locked at the discretion of their owners, fired for no reason, cocked over and over again, and have foreign objects inserted into their chambers?

I just dropped a class because of the insane feminist prof. She described herself as a person of color despite being half-white and half-Japanese, demanded to be called "Professor [Surname]" or "Doctor [Surname]" because anything else would be tantamount to veiled disrespect of her race/sex/whateverthefuckelse, had a policy against "bigoted speech" that included asserting that biological differences between men and women exist, accused a local musician of sexual harassment a few years ago (after…

It's surely not a coincidence that this is happening right after the approval of A13. I wonder how much they were paid...

They just went full univariate analysis. Real statisticians never go full univariate analysis.

Feminists would go berserk. Jobs with astronomical cutoffs could have over fifteen times as many men as women, simply because the male population is more variable. If pure untimed power tests were used, the disparity would be even greater -- despite oft-touted SAT-V scores, the only advantage women have on real IQ tests is in processing speed.

The age of consent in many states is 16. What I'm curious about is how she accrued that much superfluous baggage at so young an age.

Compare these lists (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Lists_of_inventions_or_discoveries) with this list (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_inventions_and_discoveries_by_women). Problem, feminism?

It's bound to fail, if for no other reason than the validity of the laws of basic economics. Even supposing that every woman in the serviced area chooses to travel via DriveHer, it will be much more expensive than other available options. Even if the number of drivers being paid doesn't exceed the number of customers, certain costs (mostly those related to administration, programming, and maintenance) will be disproportionately high relative to the company's size. This will lead to elevated pric…

In central Africa, where up to 90% of Lake Chad has disappeared, nomadic indigenous groups are particularly at risk. As the lake's shoreline recedes, women have to walk much further to collect water. Take a closer look... In central Africa, where up to 90% of Lake Chad has disappeared, nomadic indigenous groups are particularly at risk. Closer... Chad has disappeared

The present situation of males worldwide is akin to that of the proverbial frog unaware that it is being boiled alive. It is thus interesting that the nation of Rankine and Kelvin could be one of the next to awaken to this fact.

These idiots always claim that people from different groups (swarthy-skinned and light-skinned, men and women, etc.) are practically identical when it suits them, then push out bullshit like this. Retarded hypocrites like this, who hold multiple incorrect positions, are one of several things that are wrong with modern culture. There are biological differences between these groups - it's in their genes. Such generalizations shouldn't be used to make judgments about individuals without first exami…

Well, the growth of the uterine lining that is ejected during menstruation is regulated by estrogen, so he/she/whatever clearly still has ovaries. Sure, the part of being transsexual that actually matters is what one thinks (IMO, but I'm not a transsexual), but this just looks like somebody who got a haircut and breast surgery while neglecting an ovariectomy so that she could whine on Instagram.
