For me: Life improves, dating dies. Sometimes, get pretty bad temptations/trials with women who are interested. Don't know if it would be worse as a non-believer though. Praying to God for guidance, access to wisdom, and protection matters to avoid unnecessary heartbreaks and aches.

Don't remember what this topic was on. Hopefully, people have figured out whatever they wanted to figure out and asked God for help. I hope I didn't come off as disrespectful or not understanding or fair. Maybe, my words didn't make sense, which is fine. As you said, different folks, different strokes. And, my opinion may not make much sense being a bit of a person who doesn't fit into the mainstream at time. Also, don't want my nose unnecessarily in other people's private business or in their h…

Agreed but, since this is the internet, though I do want to be gentle, i do want to be honest too... though God didn't take in models, reality TV stars and royalty for Apostles, its not the fairest comparison since the times and pragmatics/cultures/societies/times were different. And, though it may be well meaning and true to some extent, sometimes, these kind of positions unwittingly become poetic consolation prizes for us ugly people for being ugly: we shouldn't make excuses for us uglier peop…

seducing vs sexy...seducing vs courting... Maybe its word-play/semantics, but I personally don't want to be "seduced"... Maybe, others do? Within marriage, should be fine right? As for relevant Bible verses, the closest I know of off top of head is this one: "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." That said, my two cents: Maybe its just definitions we're playing with, but I think godliness can be very sexy/attractive. But, generally, this…

Short answer: The Holy Spirit. Letting the spirit overcome the flesh. Long answer: Knowing God knows everything, my mind, my thoughts, my desires. Knowing the armor of God and that I will need to use His word as my sword, just as Jesus spoke Scripture when tempted in the dessert. After repenting whenever I do fall in lust, whether it was for a woman in my mind or whatever I saw, like a particular pornstar I was attracted too. This is one verse that helps me: " No temptation has overtaken you but…

A good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit (scriptural). That applies to women too. If she's equally yoked (scriptural), its always better, you both have access to God to deal with Satan and the unruly flesh when it comes to temptation. I don't know anyone here or their situations, so I don't wanna judge to hurt someone but be encouraging. People should be repentant (scriptural) so they can have a relationship to listen to God and get His help and His peace. They should be forgi…

Not very relatable perhaps, since your quiet the blessed man, but do pray about it if you are truly seeking that extra blessing in the form of a wife for life. Praying is the answer no one wants to hear. Perhaps, we're all "patient" and good people until we're asked to pray to God and be patient about it haha, right? You sound like you have what it takes on the outside. I do hope your relationship with God grows, that you listen to the Spirit's conviction and go to God regularly to confess any m…
