Even though men have sex before they meet their woman? And tend to be more open about it as well?

What’s your count?

At the time I thought these hookups would become boyfriends. They were never ONSs, I always got to know the guys first. I didn’t realize that they only saw me as a girl to hookup with, and weren’t interested in commitment. And yes, I was stupid enough to continue this cycle until I had a realization that these guys didn’t have the intentions I thought they had.

I think this is the most realistic, honest answer I’ve seen

I keep reading about body count and mate value regarding women, and it’s doing a number on my self esteem and worth. I agree that promiscuity is bad, but I had no idea what I was doing at the time. I was just listening to feminist bs. Especially since one commenter here told me I should never get married lol…

So if I have to disclose my past, what do I say?

I’m the same way, I just didn’t know at 18 because I thought that the guys would eventually commit…I also had the peer pressure from other girls.

I’m definitely ready for a ring!! I have told him too lol…but he says we need to save money before we decide to get married. But I’m hoping in 2024, we can start planning for the future!

Have you ever been a relationship?

So…lol. I want a husband and children. So the solution is to have children out of wedlock? What?? I was 18…and yet the rest of my life is ruined. Also, 7 is not that dramatic of a number. Those men my freshman year also come from me being naive and thinking these men wanted to be my boyfriend (they were using me). I have always and will always prefer a relationship.

So I should be alone for the rest of my life starting at the ripe age of 22 (current age) and never marry or have a family? Also, this isn’t a reflection of my relationship at all, I love and trust him and I’m excited to start a life and have children with him.

Do you think 7 is very high for mid to late 20s? If my current partner and I don’t work out, I’m waiting until I’m in another relationship

I just don’t understand how that’s possible when I’ve been in a current relationship for as long as I have? Not to mention the brain doesn’t fully develop until 25, and I was a teenager. What’s the science behind this?

I think it’s an insecurity thing. I had a lot of guilt and shame from that part of my life. Online discourse enhances that. Additionally, I don’t have a ring yet so I can’t put all my eggs in my relationship basket.

My sexual past includes 2 committed boyfriends (including one who I have currently been with for 3.5 years) and 5 guys my freshman year of college (which I do regret, and I was very immature, impulsive, and naiive at the time). I think it would be quite unfair for me to be forever tied to the actions I had as an 18 year old. I am very much a different person now, so why should I be forced to disclose that information?

Yeah I understand this. I guess I just don’t know if 7 counts as high body count. I would hate to think that my freshman year of college will forever determine my mate value lol…especially since at that time of my life I had no sense of self worth, or who I was as a person, and I was very naiive and trusted men’s intentions towards me.

Good read! Funny enough my current boyfriend does not carry any baggage…I just was an impressionable freshman in college, and have left that behind me. I just don’t think there’s a need to air our dirty laundry, especially if it happened at an immature point of our life/had no real impact

If I’ve been in a committed relationship the past 3.5 years, had a two year relationship before this, but stupidly slept with 5 men when I was 18, am I a slut?

What are some ways you think women talk their way out?

I'm actually in the same boat as you lol. 22F here, I think I'm fairly attractive, but I know a rhinoplastly would do a lot for my looks (I've experimented on Facetune). Currently trying to decide whether or not I want to use money to become more beautiful or pursue more education, though I already have my first professional job out of college. I've ready that a woman losing weight has more of a bearing on her salary than getting a masters, so I'm leaning more towards plastic surgery.

What kind of plastic surgery? Was it in her face or body?

10 wasn’t big, I’m just more noticeably fit/small now. And honestly, I’ve always had the same type for guys (usually 6’-6’6”, lanky, nice hair) so that’s who I’ve always dated. I am in college, so we’re all students. I do notice more attention from men in general though, who seem more HLM.

I've thought about this so much, as bad as that sounds to say. I personally workout 4-6 days a week and I eat very clean. I used to be a size 10 and never had a problem finding guys, however many of them weren't interested in a committed relationship. Over quarantine I dropped down to a size 4 through diet and exercise, and after I immediately met my current boyfriend, who is very fit and health conscious. Basically, I think women are going to attract guys either way. The quality of the guy is a…

I'm in Louisiana and it's decently common here. At the same time, I know plenty of girls who are in relationships. One of my friend's relationships started as a hookup and now they're living together.

I'm in college right now, and I am lucky to have met my boyfriend. Before that I was meeting so many dudes that didn't want to commit but still wanted to act like we were in a relationship (also known as the "situationship", which is such a stupid concept that now applies to so many people's dating situation). Basically they wanted to go on dates, sleep together, spend time together, etc. but also have the option of screwing other people and being able to drop you without an explanation. I think…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
