A man realizes he's worthless if he's not earning or doing something productive. A woman can basically do nothing but exist and still might very well expect someone to love her and cater to her. That's the difference.

Sure - just admit that you're a glorified prostitute. Men respect that more.

Ehh, to her credit, she is taking some accountability here and trying to not be a pain the ass the next time around. She realizes the dude is gone for good.

What an absolute shitshow. I'm so glad I get to read that from an outsider's perspective, and not someone who has to deal with it.

At first, yeah - until he mentions that she's referring to a guy that she banged while they were broken up/on a break, not some distant ex. She definitely still thinks about this other guy, and probably is still in touch with him (to put it gently). So yeah, it's pretty fucked up.

Well, to play devil's advocate, loneliness isn't a choice - it's an adverse effect to being alone. You don't choose to feel that way, you just do because you've been conditioned against it for so long, or perhaps you don't like being alone with yourself very much. The cure for loneliness isn't a woman though, it's learning to enjoy yourself and/or finding company in good friends or family (i.e. people who actually like you for you and share interests with you).

I'm a fan of MGTOW in general, but this is ridiculous. Even if women weren't pains in the asses, who would want to take on an emotional (and financial) burden? Gimme a break. No one would even want to become friends with that guy.

Just like anyone else, it's a case by case basis. When they start developing their own little personalities, some are adorable, and some are a pain in the ass. Either way, I can see how it would be a bit much to deal with in large doses, which is why I have no interest in having any, but for the most part (in small doses), I don't think they're so bad.

I'm not sure I get why the mom believes she is entitled to the money that her son gifted to this chick. I mean, if the assumption is he was a chump that was so smitten with her that he gifted her all this cryptocurrency, then it's hers to keep, isn't it? I'm not saying it's ethical, but legally speaking...

There's nothing wrong with a woman being attracted to taller men. Everyone is entitled to be attracted to whatever traits they chose...and therein lies the problem, as a man can't say "I'm 170 pounds, please weigh less than me" without being crucified, even though it's a perfectly valid preference.

Society teaches us to never hit women, and in a rage-inducing situation like that, the man apparently feels like he needs to hit something, so the guy becomes the target. Personally, I never understood it. Unless I know the guy, it has next to nothing to do with him.

I think I'm generally happier than my peers of the same age group. Between the kids and the wife, they seem worn out and always concerned about money. Lots seem to have a certain satisfaction in doing what they're "supposed "to be doing, and carry a sense of accomplishment in that (and often, an annoying air of superiority) but it usually doesn't read like happiness to me.

It's hard to say, as every family scenario is different. Personally, I adore my mom and my sister. My feelings about not wanting romantic involvement with any modern woman doesn't affect how I feel about them. Then again, I'm pushing 40 and my sister is older and my mom is close to 70 - as they say, they don't make them like they used to. They're old school and very appreciative of the sanctity and gender roles of a traditional marriage.

Grade A sociopath. She clearly can't wrap her brain around someone loving their pet. He's not even doing anything unusual, it's pretty standard fare for any pet owner. The thought doesn't even enter her head that if she took kindly to the cat, he would appreciate her for it and it would strengthen their bond. It's all me, me, me.

Gender roles used to be a thing. Your place in a marriage was established and understood. Now it's a gray area of shit where a man has to take on all roles, or he's a selfish, chauvenist pig. She can still choose whichever role she pleases though.

There's plenty of it. One example is the feminists' view on sports, and the men vs women physical skill gap. The outrage about even the insinuation that men are physically dominant athletically comes from the outside, by people who never played sports and have no clue. Those on the inside and female athletes themselves are most definitely fully aware. Not to mention this oh-so-well-thought-out plan to have transgender women compete with biological women - the female athletes themselves aren't ha…

Ambitious is another one that ties in, and is a descriptor I hear women use to describe an ideal mate. Both my long term exes gave me shit about (my lack of) it, because I dont break my back for my career. Meanwhile I've kept the same full time job since right out of college, in a good industry with significant raises, for years and years now. I was always supposed to be looking to move onto bigger and better things even though I like and am comfortable at my job, and always have been. Not every…

You've still got some lingering "simp" mentalities, like a lot of us do - for one, expecting a woman you've broken up with to owe you ANYTHING at all, like being honest about her relationship with her boss, or to not move on so quickly. I'm going my own way, but still have casual flings, and even that comes with a price a lot of the time (unless you never see them again) because I still think in a simp way sometimes. Right now, I'm having sex with this girl, but told her I want nothing serious a…

New dick/strange dick, maybe, but no woman wants a dick pic from her husband. That was probably where the grossed out reaction was coming from in the crowd - or not wanting to seem hoe-ish.

The conventional use of the term "friend zone" is a place that women put guys with whom they won't hook up as to not jeopardize the quality friendship they have with them. This, of course, is nonsense. You're in this zone because she finds you completely unfuckable. There's no other reason.

Exactly. Leo isn't doing anything like that. He's going to run through this one like the others and get rid of her when he gets bored. That's still MGTOW.

...and lots of men wouldn't hesitate to admit that perhaps women are better suited for those jobs than we are. The problem is, you can never even suggest men might be better suited for certain work without being called a raging misogynist.

Been accused of this by an ex. Unbeknownst to her, I was cranking it to porn basically every night, just had little to no interest in sex with her. It's funny how it can never be them, it's always an issue with the guy - because guys, of course, are ready to fuck anything at any time.

It's not even so much that she does this (even though it is awful), it's that she advertises it publicly on the internet, like a fuckin' badge of honor. Have fun trying to bury this when you've hit the wall and are desperate for any sort of meaningful affection.

Well, it is the right advice, but it's for the guy's sake. She's not going to suddenly be OK with it. She's either going to sabotage the relationship or cheat on him to get her fix. She'll never be happy with the guy either, so it works for both of them.

Seriously, there's a complete dichotomy going on with modern day feminism, and it's confusing as hell. A woman who takes her clothes off for a living is both empowered/admired and shamed, all at once. It's also OK for her to cater to men's carnal desires stripping off all of her clothes for money/clicks, but it's not OK for men to look at her in a lustful manner or view her as a sexual object.

"The study suggests that if a man is considered at least moderately attractive, then his >personality matters to women, Fugère said. If a man is viewed as less than moderately >attractive, it doesn't seem to matter as much to women what his personality is like, Fugère >explained." Definitely. This is the same reason why an attractive guy and an unattractive guy can use the same pickup lines, yet the unattractive one is deemed creepy.

There's a certain level of rationalization that goes on here, just to make things easier to swallow...and as much as I hate to say it, there's also some guys who are clearly trying to "own" their inability to get women by making it their choice by avoiding women entirely. I think it's something our community will just need to accept. I'm more your type of MGTOW. Why would he stop jerking off? ...about to make a stupid decision and invest unnecessary time and effort into getting ass? Crank one out, you'll come to your senses immediately. As for OP's social situation, a lot of these guys will be back. It's up to you if you want to rekindle those friendships, but the ones that don't remain single will settle into the misery of marriage and want to get out of the house all the time (if they can), or end up divorced. The only decent blowjob is from a girl trying to win you over (i.e. auditioning for you), and who obviously has done it before. Trying to get a decent one from someone who you already wife'd up, and who doesn't even like it in the first place is akin to rubbing your dick against a cheese grater.

I was with my ex for 4 years or so, and about a year or two into it, I just generally lost interest in having sex with her. Besides being a total dead fish, with no BJ's hardly ever (citing that her friends agree that it's not something enjoyable for women, as if I care what her friends think), she had a medical issue where she had to come off of birth control, so I had to wear condoms. To me, this defeated the whole purpose of banging the same girl every night. Basically, it got to a point wher…

As a man, you're almost 3 times as likely to be murdered...but who gives a shit, right? Also, as a man, if you're in the wrong neck of the woods at the wrong time and end up getting robbed and/or atacked, most people would making no qualms about asking you "well, what the hell were you doing there at that hour?"

Before I went my own way officially, probably my first MGTOW-related realization was that male "friends" are just vultures circling in the sky. This reality is apparently very offensive to women, for whatever reason, yet it usually plays out pretty predictably with these guys. It's fairly easy to separate the orbiters from the ones whose dick she'll run and cry on when you two are having any sort of problems though. You probably won't even know she has these latter type of guys in her life. Eith…

I had one guy in the neighborhood act like a dick to me on and off growing up - it was only words, and over petty shit about my awkward prepubescent appearance, but being so young, it really stuck with me. I never did anything to the guy, or anyone for that matter, but he made it a point to clown me for no reason. He ran with the neighborhood thugs, and I was just a kid, so doing anything about it wasn't an option either. That said, some 20+ years later, he endeded up overdosing and suffered bra…

There's no MGTOW bible or set of rules to follow. If you're a man going your own way (i.e. not interested in any sort of long term thing with a woman), then you're MGTOW. I feel like this place is becoming a little too militant. Let's not go eating our own here like other groups do. Some of you guys are sounding angry and bitter over every little thing that women do. Not that it matters to me, but nowadays, if you're eliminating any woman from your marriage pool who has had a drunken hookup, then you're not getting married...at best, you're marrying someone clever enough not to tell you about it.

Nowadays, your average girl probably still has some decent looking dudes trying to get in her pants daily via whichever social media app - the type of guy that takes a fish in a barrel approach, and will put feelers out on everything. So, why would she bother with a regular Joe Schmo, when this guy is an option? She's basing her value on him, as if he has a genuine interest, not realizing she's just a wet hole to him.

If the guy wants to get married someday for whatever reason, he has to accept that her kind of sexual history is par for the course. I would say nowadays, it's near impossible to meet a 25 year old woman who hasn't been around the block, with all the dick they get thrown at them all day.

I'm not going to run around hitting women, but any time the statement "I would never hit a woman" is uttered by a friend, I'm like "Never? I can think of situations where I would." It just all seemed simpler when these gender roles were clearly defined. The man was the breadwinner, the woman was the caretaker. Now, the man still has to be the caretaker, but the woman can't be relegated to any one role...which is fine, but it's far from conducive to a successful arrangement.

It was surprisingly good, since I made no effort to get laid. Unfortunately, I've been chasing tail a bit too much lately, so I felt the weekend was productive. This one older woman at the bar last night was all over me, ranting about how her ex-boyfriend was at the other end of the bar making her feel uncomfortable. She was basically throwing herself at me, and quite frankly I felt embarrassed for her. My one friend was like "dude, she wants it," but I just continued to walk out of the bar to h…

Who gives a shit what society thinks. The obvious main deterrent is that porn diminishes the value/need for women. They can't have that, hence the whole brigade against it. Any other case against porn is just a front. Personally, I don't find it as a full replacement for being sexual with a woman, but I'm definitely a fan.

One of my close friends tells me in a foreboding way that I'll regret it if I don't settle down now. I think he's implying that at 37, my looks are going to shit, and I'll never be able to find anyone decent in a couple of years...yet somehow, getting laid has been easier for me now than it ever has been. Go figure...then again, he's the type who constantly needs company though, or to have someone to talk to. I'm the polar opposite. To his credit, he has the closest thing to a NAWALT for a wife …

She was probably monkeybranching the whole time, and the depression was an excuse to bail. A lot of times people will say "wow, that was quick" when an ex ends up with someone new in a few weeks. She's looking for love, has another dude who takes her out (as that is something she wants in her quest for love), but that's not my problem. If the moment calls for it, I'll meet a woman at a bar and start this process over again. I enjoy that part of female interaction - the flirtation, the sex, all that. It's a rush...an ego trip. The whole "dad bod" phase came and went, with women pretending to be all into regular looking guys. Though some women might tolerate a regular build if the rest is up to snuff, it was pretty obvious it was all done in a patronizing way. No woman prefers a beer belly. It also gained traction as a self-imposed means of trying to ease society's pressure on women to look a certain way - i.e. trying to make it OK to be fat.

It seems it's pretty common for women to not have any hobbies at all. Conversely (although I know it's anecdotal), pretty much all the guys I know have a couple of things that they like to do for fun. My mom is amazing. She was a bit overbearing and wanted to keep me cooped up for far too long when I was growing up, but her heart was always in the right place. I've said it before - as much as feminists and women in general cry about the horrors of male oppression and general aggression, violent tendencies are not a turn-off to them. It might even be a turn-on. Certainly this is a good-looking man, but desirability in the eyes of women is no doubt elevated by his criminal past. Look at Chris Brown and Aaron Hernandez. It's kind of the liberal's approach to free speech - you can say whatever you want, as long as they agree with you. Also, if you could close your eyes and be thin(ner) when you open them, stop acting all proud like you've accomplished something by being overweight. Personally, I pump and dump, or start a casual relationship where I can have somewhat regular sex with her, then pull the chute when things get too heavy. Unfortunately, the latter is risky, as your balls can trick your brain into thinking your enjoyment of regular sex is from feelings and emotion. If that's not for you, just say you have a girlfriend. It's in their biological makeup, but they're denying that it has anything to do with that. They'll never admit that they are biologically programmed to want/need a man to make them feel safe. Part of a way that a man shows his love is to provide this protection. Relationships worked better when each side just admitted and accepted things like this.

It seems to me that more and more men are also focused on their appearance as much as women, rather than prioritizing what's important: goals, finances, more education/training, etc, which IMO, is a true measure of a man's value. I often find myself mistaking lust for true feelings with women I'm seeing, and find myself actually thinking there's something more there, when it's just so I could have a piece of that every day. I've fallen into that trap a couple of times before, and it lasted years. I'm kind of in that situation right now, but I know better now. Cooler heads will prevail.

Most people don't go grocery shopping to shoot the shit with total strangers. If you're doing this, you're probably annoying someone.

My older sister (42) is a great person and a great wife/mother, and respects that I'm not a fan of relationships, as long as I'm happy. I know it goes against the idea of AWALT, but we talk every day and I see nothing at all in her behavior that would make her out to be the typical female described here. She's far more concerned with the well being of her family than satisfying her personal needs, even though that goes against the common perception of women. My mother is the same (old school Ita…

I've thought about this a bunch of times, and can't come up with a single thing that you can ask a woman to do because she's a woman and have it be universally accepted.

There's a documentary show on Netflix called "Hot Girl Wanted: Turned On" with an episode about a cam girl and a frequent viewer who fell in love with her. He's given her thousands of dollars over a 4 year span, even partially paying for her breast implants. She is married, yet he is fully convinced they are in a relationship, and even flies her out to Australia from LA. She accepts to prolong her ability to squeeze money out of this guy, but under the guise of a potential, polyamorous fling of …

It's not. She showed up randomly last night at a bar I was at, and we ended up going back to her place afterward. Some of the best sex yet...

We should have a rant about exes megathread, about annoying headscratchers like this. My ex would somtimes call me when I was hanging out with friends, as women often do. If I picked up the phone laughing, or indicate in any other way that I was having a really good time, she would say nothing and just hang up. I suppose having a good time with anyone but her was a no-no. I knew the relationship was shot to shit, so eventually for shits and giggles, I would make sure I was laughing my ass off wh…

Much more respect to a woman who makes no qualms about being a glorified prostitute, and having such an arrangement. The ones who try to hide a similar set up under the guise of love or a meaningful relationship are the ones that will fuck you over.

In a perfect world, my friend. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to pull that much ass and have it lined up on reserve like that. I do have 1 (maybe 2) more options, but like I implied, sex with them isn't nearly as good. I am not limiting my options to this one person for sure, but she is the best of what's possibly available right now. I definitely should focus more on going that route though, rather than stressing this situation with her.

Blame social media. Anyone can take and post a somewhat decent pic, and this opens the floodgates to thirsty hornballs who will tell this girl anything to possibly get a piece. She'll eventually begin to think this is reality.

I kind of do, but I also find it funny how people seem to have kids just so they have someone to which they can be a burden on later in life when you're old and decrepit. I mean, what a ridiculous, selfish reason for anything.

If things are casual, it can be fun. They send you tit/pussy pics, you send dick pics...but yeah, when things get more "serious" then yes, social media is a bane, and a ridiculously easy means for her to monkeybranch, while tracking you. A few years ago, I was with a girl for a while that was anti-social media, and I didn't realize until later just how much of a blessing that was.

Social media is the worst. This same girl complaining about good guys, or not finding love and what not, or posting selfies all day are opening the door to getting her inbox flooded with offers, day in and day out. I would imagine this causes women to overvalue themselves, and have plain Jane girls think they're the shit because they have thirsty ass dudes all over them online every day. On top of that, I would be hard-pressed to believe that any young woman nowadays is truly staying faithful. I…

I get your point and agree to an extent, but how does marriage fit in to the MGTOW universe? I would imagine any MGTOW followers who are married are unhappily so. Is that false?

What is this guy even asking? Does it even matter if his wife is full on fucking this guy?...she was/is, of course, but even what he knows as fact is bad enough. Also kind of odd that one of the comments by a woman says "she probably won't do it again"...how did she deduce that? Though to her credit, she did say he should leave. He's probably torn to bits and just needed to vent, as his decision is obvious.

As slutty as a "regular" girl might be, I always feel safer and more comfortable exploring her sexually than I would with any hooker. As many dudes as a slutty bar rat has banged, that hooker has probably banged more than that in the past month. I know she's also more likely to have been tested, but I can't get over that psychologically. I also feel like I have accomplished something pulling a random girl and having her agree to (and possibly really enjoy) sex with me, which doesn't happen with …

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. I don't really buy AWALT, but I do think it's a large enough percentage to where it's not worth the risk...so might as well assume AWALT.

I was seeing a girl recently (a sexual thing, basically). She wanted more, I didn't, so she said she wanted to cut contact with me before it got ugly. We eventually started talking again, I STUPIDLY thought I was catching feelings and implied I would like to try again in an actual relationship, like she wanted. Fortunately she said she didn't believe me and was already dating another guy who was on the same page as her (not opposed to the idea of marriage, kids, etc). Long story short, we still …

Same here. I wouldn't miss random one night stands all that much...but the sex where you start seeing someone, and nothing is really expected of you other than your presence (and dick) - this is the sweet spot, and the one that ends up leading to trouble. The sex is getting better and better at this point, yet the conversation inevitably turns to wanting something that more closely resembles an actual relationship. That's when your dick starts doing long term thinking and confuses you into think…

I'm sure in his head he was just making conversation about health issues he might share with a fellow fat person, and not trying to shame her...but hey, that doesn't fit the narrative.

Got a drunken "I miss you" then an "I miss your dick" a couple of days ago, followed by a Snapchat video session that turned filthy - then an offer to come over, but it was 5 AM and I had work in the morning. This is from a girl that is supposedly seeing somebody else after we "saw" each other for a couple months and it didn't go the way she wanted. To think, I came very close to getting attached and mixed up in that.

I'm glad I stumbled upon MGTOW recently as it's cool seeing others follow a bunch of the principles I've come to believe, but stuff like this makes me feel like I don't quite belong.

Sex is easy, I can get that. Getting the fuck out after we have sex is where I start to run into problems. I hear that. You're probably like me (and many others), to where you can pull some ass with a little searching and a little work, but it's not like women are constantly falling over themselves to be with you. Once you run into a potentially regular piece of decent pussy that requires no effort, you start confusing that high with genuine emotion, and lines get crossed. I'm working on that my…

Never got suckered into marriage or children, and always found my way out of long-term unhappiness before that happened, so there's some challenge there. I know what she did though, I'm not an idiot...but part of this "better" option is this guy's willingness to play her game off the bat (take her out often, promise her a future, etc.)...i.e. shit I didn't do. Also, she started hitting me up again, so that better option was probably not as much better as she though. It's all good, doesn't even m…

I've certainly dabbled so no shaming here, but there's something inherently much more satisfying about doing it the old-fashioned way (i.e. picking up a girl and taking her home). Having a non-prostitute find you likable enough to spread her legs for you does a lot for the male ego, at least for me it does. Letting it go beyond that is where the trouble starts though.

I appreciate it all the words of advise, gentlemen. Coincidentally enough, she ended up randomly reaching out to me tonight, implying she wants to see me again soon. Admittedly, if she throws the pussy at me, I'm probably not going to say no, but I must say, I spent a good portion of today reading a bunch of MGTOW material here, and I feel like my perspective has changed. I'll take it for what it is (ass and short-term company), and not think about it beyond that. Between spending the past week …

I do think she wanted more based on all the talk about my stance on marriage and kids before she put a stop to everything...but I definitely did become a sniveling little bitch which made me less appealing and easier to say goodbye to, no denying that.

No, probably not. I hate to sound combative, but the thrill of a new girl wanting to have sex with me, preferably more than once, is too damn enticing to me to give up. It's often no major feat considering what I usually pull, but it still makes me feel like the man nonetheless, at least temporarily.
/r/MGTOW13/04/17 11:21 PM

Admittedly, no. We got along well, but there was basically no conversation of substance happening ever. I know that well would have dried up eventually, but it hadn't yet. The sex was some of the best I've had in a while (after a bunch of selfish dead fish) so it was hard to not get all worked up when it was taken off the table.

As petty as it sounds, part of me was trying to get her back, just so I could be the one to ultimately decide it wasn't going to work, not her. It was definitely a power thing...felt helpless and weak not being in control of the situation.
