But isn't stand-up just social politics taken from a sniper rifle to a shotgun? And if nothing else, shouldn't it have an impact on being able to be booked? All right, thanks. I might give it a look. As it is, my reading backlog is -massive-.

Was about to bitch when I first started going through this, being liek, "hey if we're talking about basing your life on something, shouldn't biology be in here somewhere?" Ate my snark, wrote down some of the books. Is 48 laws actually good? I was reading through a guy who made an entire website using it as his premises, and it not only came across as PUA material, but made me rather paranoid about -all- social interactions for a day or two. ...But I guess I finally got my raise at work. :/

Yeah. It's a little creepy that people can go so hard into this worldview. Actively switching between logic and sophistry to disorient an audience it pretty cruel when done intentionally, tho I recognize myself as having done it regularly when I was doing comedy to set up a punch line, so... There comes a time in a man's life where he recognizes all humans are insane and stops caring when the pot calls the kettle black.

I refuse to relax my definition because I desire to oppose your assertions in order to maintain the air of individualism.
