Remember that her lawyer is only interested in advancing her interests (winning), not what is reasonable or even in the best interests of the kids. Also, her lawyer will do what she wants, even if they disagree. Their relationship is a paid one.

50/50 doesn’t work as good as most people think. At a certain point kids need a home base. I’d say move as close as you can stand and let the kids decide where they want to live, or if they’re too young, let them go back and forth as they please.

Once divorce proceedings commence, any allegations of her instability become irrelevant to the courts if they weren’t documented before the divorce. It’s your word against hers.

Try to get her to see a therapist about suicidality so you can use it in court against her. Pretend to be trying to fix the marriage, but use her trust in you to expose any irrational behaviours. Document everything through impartial 3rd parties. You have a child she will try to use against you. The more ammo you have, the more cooperative and rational she’ll be post divorce. There is no amicable divorce with unstable women.

Try to remember that custody is a long process. If you reasonably ask for 50/50, then the courts will want to agree because it's the easiest and gives the children the best semblance of what they had before. That being said, 50/50 is just a step on the road to full custody at some point when the kids will eventually decide who to live with.
