A lot of it IS counter intuitive, but chances are, if you're reading this stuff, intuition hasn't helped you in the past. The more you display confident body language, the more natural it will become. A year in, I still find myself slouching or giving off negative body language, but I'm much quicker to spot it and correct it. AA never really goes away, it just becomes a lot easier to ignore the little voice in your head telling you you're not good enough, because you'll know it's wrong

You can read as much theory as you like, but you'll never be completely prepared unless you go out there and practice. Just going to the club on your own is a ballsy move. Most people wouldn't even make it out the door to their own house if they thought they were going on their own. Online dating is a weird one. I've used it in the past and have a couple of active profiles which I've had a few low quality dates from, so I tend to just use it to supplement my real world game now. It sounds like you need to learn to become outcome independent. Don't use alcohol as a crutch. You don't want to get to the point where you can only hit on girls when you're drunk. Pickup is a tool and in the right hands it definitely works - as long as it's used correctly. If I pick up a bag of hammers, collect some wood and nail it all together, I can build something beautiful. Alternatively, I can grab a ball pein and go all Peter Sutcliffe Rehearsing lines that worked for others on seddit won't help you pick up girls. This stuff here is what usually works for me, but #1 is key. Knowing the venue and a few of the regulars and bar staff will give you a lot more social proof than wandering into a random bar.
