Inequity is a state of mind. There's absolutely no reason, in a western democracy, that anyone can't aspire, work hard and achieve their goal in life. I know this sounds cliche, but we as individuals, are our own enemy when it comes the believing we don't have opportunities.

Yes we have entry level jobs all the way to the senior executives. But anyone doing the same work gets paid the same rate regardless. All pay is graded on an hourly rate. They really are a delusional lot. When will they learn that inequality, inequities, patriarchy etc. just doesn't exist. I sit in here in the office at work and look around at the diversity of people I work with - male, female, multicultural people, LGBT - we ALL work harmoniously, we ALL get the same pay! My world just flies in the face of the BS they're preaching.

I still fail to see the relevance. Lots people meet at work for drinks and dinner, some end up starting a relationship, getting married and having kids - just like my co-worker. At no point did they have to seek the employers approval, and it astounds me your employer thinks they have a right to intervene in your case. If it didn't occur on the worksite, or at a work sponsored event, I'd be politely telling them to mind their own dam business and fuck off - through a lawyer if need be.

Its bullshit. The ATO own stats show the actual hourly pay gap is less than 1%. The fact men are earning more is they work MORE hours / year than women. Women spend MORE hours doing volunteering work.

Thanks. Personal attacks are inexcusable. As for attacking the character, this has been part and parcel of the movie business since forever, she shouldn't take it personally. Having said that character 'critiques' should be directed at the script writers/directors, not the actors.
