I do foresee a decline in jobs requiring higher education as an arbitrary requirement, employers are increasingly not seeing the value and the value was always debatable compared to the cost for students (depending on the subject and the country). Where things like coercive control and financial abuse happen they are almost always about elderly people. Question though, if a woman (or man) is in a happy relationship does it matter that other men (or women) don’t find them attractive? It’s an argument that we accept for elderly couples (as an example). There’s an argument that it sells less product but if they made a bad commercial decision then their products will flop. Briefly worked as the only man in a small company. The owner harassed me to tell her what my sexuality was in front of the whole office, then once she found out I liked guys a few days later she asked to borrow my personal phone and take it down the road “to call her phone which she had lost in the car park”. Female separatism is a perfectly fine idea (as an individual choice), although they should be consistent and defend male separatism as well. You can’t be in favour of female separatism and against male separatism, or even stay silent on it. I read an article about a woman who fell in with a radical feminist crowd when she was experiencing mental illness, and the harm it did to her career, friendships and relationships. She was frustrated looking back that nobody had told her that the group was using her and were making and keeping her miserable. But it was because nobody felt comfortable criticising them. People who demand chivalry have no idea what chivalry was. It was a (poorly adhered to) code to not kill innocents, and to show deference to rich people (that part was adhered to more).
