I didn’t. We had two homes. My mom lives in one. Not kicking my mom out. Couldn’t afford to buy her out of both. Plus the kids get to stay in the family home when they’re with her.

I choose to not stress over it. Like I said, I’m a high earner, physically fit, healthy, and reasonably attractive. If my wife ends our marriage due to upping her stock I’ll be fine. Plenty of women out there.

Appreciate the feedback. We’re all different. My wife hates talking/thinking about our finances. She insists I handle it all. I make over $200K and she’s about $180K. We never want for anything so the thing that makes me feel the best is if we ever did separate, we could both afford to live in our current city with our kids. No one would suffer financially. Divorce would suck but I would hate for either of our standard of living to decrease.

My wife has never made more than me but she has closed the gap quickly. We are both high earners and pay increases only positively affect our household. I’d love for her to out earn me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
