So I live in LA and I’ve been on the metro. It seems VERY unlikely and pretty much physically impossible that the young woman had her foot on the seat “without blocking anyone from sitting”. The train seats are small and fucking cramped.

If the roles were reversed, some tough guy on the train woulda yelled at (and most likely gotten physical with) a guy refusing to move his stuff for a woman. The hypothetical guy would have been ejected from the train way faster. This woman is doing what she is doing from a place of female privilege when it comes to shitty behavior being “corrected”. People aren’t as inclined to get physical with women the way they would with a man in a situation like this. She knows this and probably gets away …
