This is an interesting point that I think needs to be fleshed out more in my own Biblical scholarship. I agree that, to truly love, you can not fear the thing or person you are loving, and that includes fear of loss

I don't think fear is the word, but that's essentially the dilemma. Edit: Actually, that is the right word. There's definitely a fair amount of fear in there.

The beliefs have always been there, and I think it's fair to say they have anchored Oneitis into place. I'm really not even sure what shaking it would look like in my situation.

Don't get too enamored that you think you have a unicorn. The primary takeaway from last night, for me, is that she isn't a unicorn. I've been trying to prove that to myself for what feels like forever, and I think this finally did it.

Hypergamy <> anxiety. That's an oxymoron. Hypergamy is her feeling confident she can do better than the low(er) value man she's with. The anxiety she might feel if she has a high value man is that HE might act on the fact that he can do better than her. Ah. I have definitely been getting this in reverse. What she told you is that your attitude (frame) is evidently affected when she gets testy. Do you mean that the only reason she would even be thinking about the times that she's gotten frustrate…

I'm aware of all of these definitions. The point of this post is to provide another demonstration of the truth that a man increasing his SMV decreases the anxiety women experience when being with a low one, which is a product of continually comparing their current mate with potential ones (which in turn causes them to selfishly branch swing). I think this is particularly valuable data, because my wife breaks the typical description of a woman on this forum so thoroughly. If it were ever not true…
