Basically every teenage guy has been attracted to or had a crush on older women in that age range. It’s 30-50yr old TRP guys with revenge fantasies that think this.

I do not feel offended at all. If I’m down in my feelings for some reason I might feel sad that I’m not hot enough to be sexualized but otherwise I do not care. There is nothing wrong with sexual attraction.

I admire your patience in continuing to explain this to what is seemingly a brick wall. The double standards for men when it comes to dating are insane.

Regarding men asking women out as much as men ask women out… an overlooked issue with this is that women aren’t attracted to as many men as men are attracted to women. Women rate ~80% of men as unattractive (a real life study was done by Italian sociologist and found the same results as the OkCupid ratings) so women wouldn’t ask out as many men because they aren’t attracted to as many men

And I think this is the experience for most men. We don’t really get to put our preference first like women do and so a lot of guys get with whoever comes on to them.

It’s something kids used to do in public school. If you type “304” into a calculator and hold it upside down it looks like “hoe.” You young folks wouldn’t know about it (we’re from the same generation)

Yeah, that’s because the main issue at hand is that women are simply not attracted to most men, not the algorithm hiding men’s profiles for swiping too much

Well, the data disagrees with you. Also, if you're implying I'm a fat woman... I'm a man with a 28-inch waistline. But it's clear that we aren't going to change each other's minds, so good day to you.

The equivalent to fat women isn't disabled men, it's fat men. And I'm certain there are far more men who will fuck fat women than women who will fuck disabled men. Also, in America, being fat isn't really an outlier anymore, it's the average, ~70% of American adults are overweight or obese and the numbers are roughly equal for both men and women. I agree that if a woman wants to be more attractive in general she should be at a healthy weight. But I don't think that's the reason why it's easier f…

Ah, I see. Although, based on my observations, I think there’s a significant swathe of men for whom they don’t even have to not be fat.

This is what really ticks me off, people like to pretend the main factor in being attractive to women is bs like "safety" and "emotional intelligence" and "kindness" when it just isn't. It's so annoying.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 12:20 PM

Men aren't going to pretend they find ugly women attractive Except, men do find "ugly" women attractive. For example, OkCupid founder Christian Rudder wrote in his book Dataclysm that the most attractive men received barely as many messages as the most unattractive women. Similarly, another article analyzing data from OkCupid found that "The more men disagree about a woman’s looks, the more they like her" - basically, "unattractive" features in women actually enhance their attractiveness to some…

Maybe you should look at how men and women rate each other in attractiveness. Women find ~80% of men below average. Even the most attractive men get barely as much attention as the least attractive women in terms of messages and likes on dating apps. Some men lack self-awareness for sure, but if you're going to complain about that, then far more women also lack it.

It is a good quality to have but there isn’t any inherent benefit that comes from pain of any kind, physical, emotional, whatever. You say there are worse things in life than being rejected, and I agree. I experienced those things first hand. I grew up very poor, to the point of not having food to eat, and was physically and verbally abused throughout my childhood by my father. It has not made me a better person at all. It has not improved my life. It just hurts. If I could go back and give myse…

You have to be at a baseline of attractiveness to see the results of it. An overweight average-height white guy with good facial features can get down to a healthy weight and see a marked change in his success with women. But if you take someone like me, I workout 5 days a week but at the end of the day I am still ugly and 5ft 1, the height alone is going to be a deal breaker for most women no matter how fit and in-shape I am.

It’s not a significant minority, it’s the majority of women who don’t find most men attractive, period, whether in photos or social settings.

At least online dating softens the blow of rejection. But yeah, it’s not better than approaching in terms of results

Wrong, Chad will still approach because he has always gotten good results from approaching, and even if he doesn't, women will still have access to him. It is a net win for women, they don't have to deal with the men they don't want but they will still always have access to the men they do want.

Guys who can do all the right things and are good looking enough are like 10-20% of guys. The vast majority of men are considered below average in attractiveness by women.

I wish things were more even. I wish men didn't have to prove themselves worthy. I wish "straight" women lusted after and desired men the same way straight men desire women. I wish women wanted to approach and initiate. I wish women wanted to plan and pay for dates. But they don't. I wish things weren't so transactional. The way you described it is like applying for a job and then paying for the privilege of getting an interview. It's a shit deal. I doubt it will ever change. Women don't even co…

You posted this in the joke section but I believe this is unironically a very big part of it. Women rate most men as below average in attractiveness and the data we have from online dating reflects that. In romance movies, the men are always attractive, and most real life men are ugly as far as women are concerned.

Feminism needs to get over themselves in this case. Unfortunately male sexuality in general is often demonized no matter how it is expressed or who it is directed too, even inanimate objects. (Just look at how women who use dildos/vibrators are talked about compared to men who use fleshlights) And those actions made that affected you without your consent were also bad. But just because they were doesn't make it right to do the same thing to someone else. I think the best case scenario in the nea…

Also, the reason why only men are net taxpayers is just because we work harder, longer, and more than women. That is not sexist it is just economic fact. If men worked less (or women worked more) things would even out. There's a good video on YouTube titled 'Equal Contributions' that talks about this. The whole video is over an hour but I will just link to the part where he starts talking about hours worked and the so-called wage gap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Yn3i-DMKw&t=2963s And it sh…

I think both the draft and income tax should be abolished (or in the case of the draft, at least applied to women as well) so I am the wrong person to ask about that. And people should care about white people's equality too, I am black but I acknowledge that affirmative action and some DEI stuff discriminates against whites (and Asians as well) and I think that is wrong too and so do many other people. But I'm not willing to support another group losing their rights in one area just because they…

I think the best adaptation for men who struggle is unironically sexbots because that way it can be done without violating the women's rights. Unless we can find some way to modify human attraction and sex drive to bring men and women in sync with each other (with their consent of course)

The problem is that culturally enforced monogamy violates people's equal rights. It's a nonstarter if you care at all about women's equality like I do. Humans have twice as many female ancestors as male for a reason. Men are just not as attractive to women as women are to men. You should look at r/GirlsDontLikeBoys for more
