Other MRA's who want to stop acting like children and get some shit done for once.

I see it happen with all kinds of groups, people have a bad experience with a feminist, MRA, atheist, religious person, male, female, etc. and use that experience to shape their opinions of the entire group. It happens all the time, but I won't be one of them. You are a better person than most for this point alone.

I know everyone loves to hate on feminists here, but unless the counselor came out saying she's a feminist, it sounds like she was just a really shitty, sexist person. Labeling someone 'feminist' just because you don't like her behavior and want to throw in some insults against feminism doesn't help anyone, and makes all of the MRM come across as a bunch of whiners.

If I had to guess, the reply will be something along the lines of "lack of encouragement/ pressure to stay away from those fields" for the technical jobs, and "lack of ability/desire" for the dangerous jobs.

Oh man, I totally relate to #3. A few years back I was cruising down the interstate not far from my house when I saw an old blue honda accord pulled off on the side of the road with an obvious flat tire and a young woman looking very frustrated at a jack and tire iron. I, being the good chap that I am, pulled over to be of assistance in helping this young lady change her tire. I asked her what the problem was, curious if the jack was broken or if she just wasn't sure how to use it. It turned out…

In a word: No. Mostly because a single slap does not met a crucial part of self-defense: protecting yourself from an ongoing assault. If she continued to slap you after the initial one, then go for it. If it's just one slap and then you slap her back, that's just a count of assault for each of you.

Neither, you should bring them both in for an interview and talk to the actual person. Pitch a situation at them, and ask them how they would handle it. Or, better yet, talk about their pay. "We're thinking about paying you X as a starting salary." If you want aggressiveness, assertiveness, and negotiation skills, that will all come out when discussing their salary. No need to pick blindly.

Most of the men in the military are in non-combatant roles as well.

The Florida laws state that unless the police have a reason to believe that he didn't act in self-defense, they are not to hold him in custody. So they didn't.

You obviously have not been following the case very closely. There have been multiple images released by the media and the police reports indicate that he had defensive wounds. Google "zimmerman head pictures" and you'll find some. You also have weird misconceptions about the self-defense laws in the US. In most states there is no such thing as a "duty to retreat", Florida being one of those. I apparently also have a weird misconception about the frailty of the human body; I was under the assump…

Let me first disclose I am not trying to take away from the accomplishments of women, but it was not only women that had a part in the revolution feminism created This 2nd part is just awkward to read. Perhaps wording it "...but men also had a part in the feminist revolution". They did most if not all the leg work, but it also took a change in the mindset of men to finish the accomplishment. A change in the mindset of men was needed for their there to be equality. Men would have to instead think…

I also enjoy how the author assumes that all unemployed women are mothers and housekeepers.

It kinda makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. Someone who keeps getting hurt is at a greater risk of not being able to reproduce due to various injuries or infections from injuries. By increasing the amount of pain felt for a given input, the body increases the incentive for you to stop putting yourself in such dangerous situations.

I can mildly agree with the first post you made in the screenshot, but after that you deserved every downvote you got for making such trolltastic and shitty posts.

I think he's more referring to the commercialization of love, specifically the engagement/wedding ring ideas. Having a very expensive diamond ring wasn't really a thing until the 1920's or 30's when diamond companies started marketing the idea that a man needs to buy a woman a shiny rock to prove his love. Sadly, the more materialistic people of our culture lapped that shit up so now one is usually expected to spend a couple month's salary on a piece of jewelry whose price is artificially inflat…

So women have fewer entertainment choices in their lives? I was unaware that a penis was required to use an xbox.

So you would rather have a greater risk of birth complications, possibly life-threatening for the mother or the child, because you felt bothered later that the people working to save those lives didn't stop for pleasantries in a very time sensitive situation?

What I've found to work is to express your view points, say that you're a gender egalitarian, but since you're male you're going to have an obvious bias towards caring about men's issues. You get the samepoint across without the stigma that some have against MRA's.

I believe part of the worst feeling in being bullied is feeling helpless to defend yourself. I know when I was bullied in jr. high the only reason I didn't defend myself is I knew the school would punish me for getting into a fight, even if it was to defend myself against a bully. Nothing worse than knowing that no one else has your back.
