The messed up thing is, I don't see you simply disagree, you're just asking for proof. Any normal person would ask for proof after hearing an allegation. I too instantly asked for proof, though I assumed it to be true we should always cite our sources less rumors be made.

I wouldn't go as far as to say LOTS, but the ones with the loudest mouths are always commenting.

This was a statistic from year 2000. Also this is not JUST military personnel. Edit: and 683k seems like a stupidly high number. At that rate every single woman in the US would have been raped in under 15 years. Edit 2: I added an extra 0. My math is bad and I feel bad.

And that's why we start voting other parties. Down with this shitty 2 party system.

During my processing at MEPS in Houston they talked to us several times about Sexual Assault and to report anything related. The thing that stuck out was when the First Sergeant said "This goes for you too boys... I know all of you in here might think you are to much of a man to talk but please please please... Do not stay quiet. Come talk to me, I am not bias and I am here to listen and help." Was pretty nice to hear.

I understand where you are coming from. Conversations with my sister generally end up with her walking away and not actually proving her point (or even allowing me to prove mine(just being fair to her)). If your mother is constantly trying to get you 'on her side' I can understand your frustration but don't let it get to you. Sure stand up or yourself but perhaps you were just a tad crude? Talking to her in person may have been the better option. I really hope things work out between you too and…

I don't hate Feminists. Be proud of who you are. If you want equal rights than that is great! I want everyone to be equal, even though to an extent we can't all ever really be. (face it we are built different) What I hate is a bigot who is so strung up in their views that they fail to see their own faults. Such as a radical Fem movement, using oppression to fight "oppression". For example (this is from experience): When a female brings their child to the restroom to potty they are viewed as just…

My "partner" and I have a running joke that her penis(metaphorical) is bigger than mine and she is more of a man than me. (not true of course just jokes) I tell her I envy her manliness and she tells me she envy's my penis.

I know this feel. When me and my ex first separated she did not let me see my daughter for 5 weeks. Then for the next 2 years I had to have supervision otherwise she would not allow me to see her. All court approved also. Finally I can see her without supervision but only for a couple weekends a month. Also I only make $9 an hour but the court has me paying $516 a month. Yeehaw Texas.

Certainly not okay. I've allowed ex's to hit me and never once struck back, either because I don't want to hit someone smaller than me or I was scared they would call the cops even though they hit first. One time though an ex punched me in the face for something I had said, so I punched her square in the chest, I just reacted I did not mean to. She fell gasping for breath then after gaining composure, yelled at me for hitting her and told her family and they called me a beater. After 4 years of …

Fuck no. He's my brother and I know the situation, the piece of shit got what he deserved. Don't you dare tell me what I should have done. That's the problem with people we care to much. I believe in an eye for an eye. If you are willing to kill someone then you better be ready to die. If you rape someone bend the fuck over.

I have mixed feelings about this. Men who rape/molest anyone I feel deserve the same done to them. But then I have to remember the countless amount of men falsely accused, they do not deserve it. My brother was in prison.. for reasons, and he became someones bitch. I loved the fact that someone somewhere was paying that piece of shit back.

Hmm, I believed it to be real do. I guess this teaches me to check my facts and do a little more research now. But I read so many things through out my day that I don't have time to dig, unless I am really interested. I was speaking to a lady sitting in front of me and told her Male Circumcision is disgusting and a mutilation of the human body. She told me it was not, it's normal and she will do it to her sons. I responded by saying "I suppose I will Circumcise my daughter while I am at it, since that seems to be the "in" thing and all, you know, mutilating your children." She told me I was disgusting for even thinking of doing that to my daughter. Well what the FUCK is the difference? Also my parents disagre…

I could go on for days about this. I could come home to my ex from a 16 hour work day and she expected me to cook me and her supper and watch our daughter/put her to bed while she watched tv because, and I quote, "I've been dealing with her ass all day I need a break!". Never mind that I just got done doing physical labor for the better part of the day I also have to drive almost 4 hours to and from work. Then she expected me to wake up 1-2 hours early to feed our daughter and again I quote "bec…

Hmm your first experience with a girl is like mine only I was `17 and this was my second gf. I did not want to have sex until I was married, not I am an Atheist, sex was never a big deal to me. She decided she wanted a virgin under her belt so forced me into the position to have sex with her. That night I cried myself to sleep because I felt I had betrayed myself. My 3rd gf and the one I just left was much like your current GF. She would get angry and hit me and throw things at me. I stayed with…

I do have to admit my family's generation before were like this and they tried to raised me like this. I did not like it because I have always believed everyone is equal and when I talk gender/race do not come to mind and they ARE NOT THE PREMISE OF MY CONVERSATION EVER.

Exactly, all the kids who picked on me either live together in the shithole I moved from in Louisiana or live with their parents. Where I live alone in Houston making a decent salary with 1 and a half degrees under my belt. Checkmate indeed.

My parents took me out of school for this reason. I was the smartest in my class (mind you this was elementary) and some kids would always pick on me and try to beat me up for being an "egghead". I had no common sense I was just book smart and for years I thought egghead was referring to the shape of my head and it made me feel ugly and dis-formed to the point were I cried almost everyday. I would tell my teachers but they would only tell me to stop "showing off" as they called it, if I remember…

Indeed. Whether are not the mother of the children has good intentions, the logic is sound. It was not her fault the father was in jail. Although, after 17 years, if she has made it this long without his support I don't think she needs it now.

I feel the black part had nothing to do with this. I think it was just because he was male. I get eye'd at, especially by police when I am alone with my daughter. I have never been formally confronted but I have been followed. Didn't you know men aren't allowed to be single fathers?
/r/MensRights19/03/12 01:45 PM
6

Not sure if that is sarcasm or not. Mine gets about $700 a month before insurance. Maybe $100 goes to my daughter. She finally got off her ass and got a job because she realized she couldn't live off of my CS. This was also after she realized he repeated attempts to raise child support weren't going anywhere, they stopped at 20%, she wants 50% but was going to settle for 30% but I got lucky the court said no.

Being a man and just getting out of a violent relationship with an abusive GF, who is also bi-polar. I applaud this man for his courage. I did the same thing, and it actually took her mother to help me get out of it. Edit: The reason it took her mother, is because her mother thought she was saving her daughter. She has low iron so she bruises easily on her legs and arms (she gets these from working out and playing with out daughter) but she blamed me for all of them and everyone in her family th…
