2	The loss of women and children is tragic. Men don't merit a mention. It's harder to replace a productive adult, than a child. The children, especially the younger ones, can be quickly replaced. Perhaps from a sociological viewpoint, we should save the able-bodied, reproductive age adults and leave the elderly and children behind. 4	The loss of women and children is tragic. Men don't merit a mention. I've wondered quite a bit about why it's "women and children first", and if a line has to be drawn further, it's children first. (warning- sweeping generalizations to follow) I think the idea there is that children are our future and that they haven't had the opportunity to live their lives yet. A very fair response to my somewhat heated comment. :) For me, marriage was that next step of trust that we both entered into. Was it an overnight change? Not at all. It was a public gesture of our commitment and love, but also one of surrender. 6	Boy‑bashing, good, clean fun, damaging to self‑esteem, or does it promote violence? I'd lump those into the same category as the "Juicy" ass sweats (as mentioned by coco_pebbles). 6	Woman pretends to be a rape victim of professor. Judge pretends to sentence her for the false report. This is such a touchy subject- no pun intended. Many women who are raped feel, at the very least, partially to blame. Among other issues, that is one of the reasons they don't come forward.
