Yeah I dont know what hes talking about. Theres definitely aspects of the red pill, that are legitamately good advice, for improving your attractiveness and not getting taken advantage. It definitely goes too far some times and isnt perfect, but it didnt get popular because none of its advice was useful

Yeah. What most men actually want is intimacy, both emotional and physical, however that aspect of relationship is not glorified, and if it is highlighted its definitely not in a masculine way. And sex and promotion of it, is the most socially acceptable way to pursue it as man,

I feel like it can help in numerous ways. Theyre more likely to invite you to events, where they have other mostly female friends, where they will vouch for you. Straight up incidental pre-selection, if shes attractive and hanging out with you, other people will just assume theres something cool about you. They can wing women for you. Theyre far more likely to actually come over and help if you are sick. Fashion and picture confirmation, have helped my online profiles. Actual emotional support, …

We arent. I think the biggest lie, the red pill espouses is that men should never be friends with women. In reality, you can learn quite a lot from, and about women, by just being friends with them. It helps a ton if you legitimately arent dying to smash them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 08:27 PM

It was possible because, we still enforced a stigma against pre marital sex , had limited options, valued marriage, and had less income inequality in general ( i.e. the difference in lifestyle between choosing one man over another was small). This didnt change womans nature, but rather lead to them being more equitably distributed, because the 10 male wasnt wasting time on a 5 even for sex. With the invention of the pill and the sexual revolution, which ironically happens in the 70s, this begins…

Theres definitely overlap. I think theres a base presumption that women are wonderful, for all races. What race changes is the degree to which general society give you that bump and how large it is. Black women get this to a way lesser extent, often being characterized as masculine. White women tend to get the largest bump because of the obvious cultural hegemony white people tend to wield on views of femininity and beauty.

Im on the same page, what ive found with women, is its less so that they agree with other women all the time. Its more so that they, will often play nice to get along, even with women they dont like, so as not to be ostracized from the group. Because historically, being ostracized from other women, spelled trouble if not death. That is not same as agreeing

Like the more I think about it, the more I realize its a pretty big improvement over what we have now. The only thing I would change is maybe not making the denominator of the response rate or date rate visible. Because I could see total matches becoming a barometer women use to preselect men. More matches, means there has to be something special about this guy, and it could lead to the same feedback loops we see today.

Yeah Im agreeing with you. What women consider attractive, has far more to do with the current culture/city/country they are immersed in, rather than some objective truth. The only objective thing that consistently has been found to make men more attractive to women, is that man having dominance either over other men or other women. And since dominance over others is always relative, so are womens attraction triggers. Its all relative. And always has been. The best illustration of this relativit…

This is exactly the case. Most women's attraction cues are relative. Because most of their attraction triggers, are based on a mans ability to dominate other men. Tall, smart, violent, rich, strong, social skills, are all just different ways in which men can show dominance and power over other men. Its why women can be in love with a CEO, a drug dealer, athlete, or artists, they're all just different forms of dominance. And women have a tendency to pool around the most powerful men. In the past,…

I mean we're already seeing it. People, on average, are having less sex, forming less relationships, getting married less, having less kids, and buying less houses.

Wow I always thought the key was simply restricting male likes, so as to stop the negative feedback loop that occurs when men like way more people than women. But public match and date data, could be a game changer. The only issue is if people keep making new accounts, but i guess you could get around that by having facial recognition for all users

Thats surprising. As that very phenomenon, is probably the number one complaint of all the high achieving women I know. Theyre no men on or above their level, who want to date them
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/24 05:03 PM

Yep, the real issue why massive self improvement wouldnt work, is because attraction triggers are relative and often based on dominating other men. Its why a "tall man" in the nordic country is like 6ft5, whereas a tall man in like mexico might be 5 ft 8. All that would happen is, women would move the goalpost on what was considered attractive

You have to have a balance. Most people need other people in order to survive and thrive. Knowing the right people at the right time, can change your life. So by and large, people who have larger social networks, and are kinder are gonna be more successful on average. The successful people who are assholes, just have a high trait of disagreeableness, that whats allows them to cut against the grain, and do things other people wouldnt in order to succeed. Theyre the people who are willing to start…

You can have attractive friends, but realize they may be unsuitable for a serious relationship for a number of reasons. Typically though, only men who have a good amount of options think this way, men who dont tend to wanna hookup with any attractive friends they have.

Women always have men who are interested in them. From puberty to death. The only thing that changes with age, is that the top men she really wants, the ones who have really built themselves into something, might no longer want her for the LTR's. Thats it. But there are always, tons of other men willing to put up with a womens shit at any age. Essentially women always have a parachute, that parachute just might not always be golden
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 09:07 PM

Exactly. Ive been friends with a large number of women. Some are model level attractive, and others were not that attractive at all. And every single one of them had men chasing them to some degree. I have met exactly one woman, who didnt have men chasing her. And she, is a friend my dad confused for a boy. And even she now has a boyfriend. Whereas I've seen female friends of mine reject men for everything from the shape of their head, to the general silhouette of a man who was in immaculate sha…

My theory is that women have a way harsher looks standard to find men physically attractive(6 ft+, big dick, muscles and low body fat, etc), but because so few men can actually meet that standard, they have to find other things to love about men. Which is why you often get women saying things like "looks dont matter as much for men". Because if they didnt find other things to love, most women would die alone, there just arent enough tall, great looking guys to go around. Regardless of that thoug…

To add to this, literally had one female friend just blanketly say: "Women handle every form of stress better than men" I was like really, all situations. I said what about in war or just massive physical confrontations in general. She ignored that completely, and then launched into how women on average suffer from more from medical malady, and how they're happier single. And used that as a justification as to why she was right. Didnt dive into nature vs. nuture. Which when you're making men vs …

Youre right. Traits for relationship formation > Traits for Relationship satisfaction. Superficial reasons play a way bigger role in relationship formation, while housework plays a far bigger role in relationship satisfaction. As much as women claim to value chore division lets be honest, how long would she have to wait to find out you contribute fairly to housework. The earliest she would realistically know is when you move in together, but most people dont move in together until 6-12 months ha…

Yeah, I dont think most women actually want it. Y Or if they do, their selection process actively weeds out those type of men. The type of man, who would enjoy doing all of those, is not normally 6ft 3 jacked ambitious guy(you being the exception). And theyre also the type of traits, she would only realistically find out about well into the dating process. So she needs other things, normally the stereotypical looks money status, to get her attracted first.

They dont act like that. And Im willing to bet most men, in this sub, would be willing to give it. The fact of the matter is, most of those things only matter once you're deemed hot enough for a relationship. And you can only show these things after you develop a relationship with a women. But if you're hot enough for a relationship, you dont need to rely heavy on these things to get female attention. So its kind of a moot point. I dont know if you've looked around but that is what happens. Those guys cheat and their women stay, because they dont want to risk it. Think beyonce and Jay z. Also if a woman thinks she can do better than the dude she has, even if hes an objectively high quality man already, she will. Thats why a lot of cheating for women happens.

The wall is more of a ,downgrading in the perceived quality of men, women have access to rather than a off switch. One of my much older female friends is experiencing it now in her 40s. In her 20's even though shes quite out of shape, was able to date successful men, never seriously but she would have sex with them. Youre describing the system we have now as a solution when, it is the problem. In our current system of dating, women liking and replying to men is the bottleneck. Therefore, we already have a system where men can only talk to women who match them. All your change would do is make it so most men have empty screens, because women as a group if they’re gonna have to make the first move, pick the hottest guy. If there’s no limit on hottest guys, hottest guys will right swipe most of them. We re bac…

Its literally why monogamous societies with some stigmas about promiscuity have historically performed better overall than polygamous ones. Lets look at dating in monogamous societies with stigmas about promiscuity: In a society where men are discouraged from having harems, the top men have to choose one woman. Since those men can only choose one woman, they pick the best woman they can reasonably get, paying far less attention to women below them who are easy hook ups. And far less to women abo…

The only solution is limiting mens likes but not womens. You limit mens likes, they have to be more intentional with who they actually choose to like. Now women have far less options to wade through, and the likes they do have are people that they know actually like them. Because women have a more realistic view of who actually likes them, they dont get distracted by Chads, because there will be none in her inbox. Men get: More matches as a group as a whole, and better conversation Women get: Le…

If we're talking purely about absolute number of sexual partners. They dont. Your e forgetting that theres a large mass of men who would fuck anything that moves. Something like 10-15% of dudes. And that number dwarfs the added attention a high value man gets. 10% of 150 Million. Your male friends def don’t have a high close rate unless their approach numbers look like 4/5. In which case it’s such a small sample size to not even really measure in percentages. Or unless they only approach when they have a blaring green light, like a friend saying they would date them. Or they just happen to be some incredibly interesting dudes with low standards. And just because a woman has interest at you at any given particular point in time, doesnt mean her interest will stay there. She might have been horny that day. A 60% success rate is crazy high if youre approaching with any volume. Say over 30 or 40 people. Granted Im assuming the approacher is a man. The best non famous male pickup artists close at about 15-20% when it comes to cold approach. Male models on tinder have about a 22 percent match rate. Only men who do better than that normally famous or not cold approaching. I guess 60% might not be that high if youre a woman though

Every study on making the first move basically leads to the same conclusion. Whoever approaches, gets their most preferred available option. Because the approachers move down a list of their preference until they find the best one that accepts them. Mean while those who accept requests normally end up with their least tolerable match. And dating trends show that too. For men, you are penalized for not approaching, and seen as net neutral for doing it. For women, you are seen as neutral for not a…

Thats the part that has never made sense to me. The common defense for sex work is often that these women have no other option. They have to do it. They would be destitute without it. At the same time the same people will shame men for using them. Accepting these 2 claims can only lead to one of 2 conclusions. Either the women are desperate and will die if men listen to women and stop patronizing them. As they have no other option for work. OR The women arent desperate and as such dont need to b…

Its funny. I think men place higher importance on a womans looks, but actually have lower looks standards. Whereas women have way higher standards for a man to be considered attractive, but theyre so high, its actually rare a guy meets that level of physical attractiveness. So they are forced to find other things in men to be attracted to. So because of that it seems like women care less about looks, when in reality most men fall short of their high bar. As such they have to find other things to…

Sort of, but not really. And it comes down to differences in how we determine what an attractive partner is. Men in general just naturally tend to have more consensus on what makes a woman attractive. Hence, the best looking women get the most attention. The presence of other men liking her does nothing to increase his attraction to her, in fact it normally does the opposite. Seeing as a wedding ring normally stops a guy from approaching. Its funny the guy youre describing whose making these demands is probably a dude who has options. He would make these demands once, and then if that didnt work replace you. The men who allow women to get away with doing things that threaten the security of the relationship dont have that ability. And thus would be way more likely to either compromise or give on all on the things youre asking. Theres no double standard. Theres a standard that men with leverage excercise because they can

Yeah I said most people cant even have a middle class living today unless you have 2 above average incomes or have 1 very high earner. That didnt use to be the case. Yes, men have been screaming that society views them as largely disposable unless you make money. We keep saying there’s no cat lady memes for men, but there are. We just call them incels, losers, and don’t give a fuck about them when they die or commit suicide. If you’re point is that women are happier alone then men are alone, sure that might be the case. Would need more data points than just unclaimed bodies. At the end of the day both men and woman are happier in good relationships than outs…

I mean it doesn’t really disprove that women may die lonely. Just that men also die lonely as well. Which makes sense we re becoming more atomized as a society and forming less families , so dying without strong ties is becoming more common

When it comes to relationships for marriage hypergamy is full tilt. When they’re younger it’s more about fun and emotion. Or even if it’s not the, parameters for hypergamy are more he’s cute and likes my favorite band than he’s needs to make x amount of money.

I understand statistics. I agree my friends aren’t the norm in anyway shape or form. But men who make six figures and take care of themselves aren’t the norm either. It is possible for trends that apply to a larger subset of the population to not apply to smaller ones, especially when you’re dealing with outliers. If you’re talking about some regular dude then yeah you are gonna do worse when you’re 40. If you’re talking about Leo, he seems to keep cycling through 25 year olds. So there are obvi…

Yeah, I tend to lean more to that said of the scale. As income inequality gets worse and birth rates drop, the disparity between what a young person can offer and what an older man can offer will become massive. Like you’re options are 26yr old median wage man who lives at home with his parents. Or the 35 ur old man who makes like 200k, and is still in good shape. Most girls are picking the 35 yr old, especially if they want a serious relationship

Some do go celibate. Others date. The one woman in her 40s I know still will try to date but it rarely manifests into anything. Other than maybe a hookup. I don’t see a problem with either choice to be honest. If celibacy makes her happy. Let her be ceibate
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 02:34 PM

Women are free to do as they please. If they’re 40 and still find fulfillment in hookup culture, that’s their choice.

Nope, have a good amount of friends who are though. And they love to talk about their dating struggles. Trust me, I would be with you on this one if I hadn’t heard this story so many times, from women who are around my age. My good friend whose 27 and a lawyer literally just made her relationship with a 40yr old lawyer Facebook official. Do I think this all women no, but there’s enough to where a man can date reasonable date like 5-10 years down in age if he has made something of himself.

Okay. It’s just something I’ve noticed more with women who earn a lot of money. Like say you make 150k a year like some of these girls do, there ain’t that many men making close to that, who also have their shit together, who wanna commit in their 20s. Normally they compromise somewhere, whether it’s looks, or age, or income. Granted in a study, that would be a small sample size of women anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 02:19 PM
3

Sure. And honestly what’s wrong with that. The whole reason men even care about body count is because of marriage stability or child paternity. If this girl has no intentions of either, what’s wrong with casual sex with men

Just going based off my friends in their mid to late 20s. These are all very successful women, all of them have their age preferences set to from like 30-40. Some have gone further up. All of them have at least dated a dude in their mid 30s or even early 40s. It’s not as crazy as you think. Obviously if you aren’t a successful 40 year old you’re gonna have a hard time. But if you have your shit together there’s definitely demand. And I think this is especially true for women who make six figures…

She travels all the time, gets any clothes she wants, has help with both from a maid and my dad, she’s basically free to spend her day doing whatever she wants at this point. I mean 40% of women over 30 are about to be single by 2030. Accordingly that would mean most men are probably single as well. It will be interesting to see what happens. I guess if the red pill is right, about things like the wall, even more insane competition for younger women. And older women will be happy that they no longer have to deal with as many men hounding them to date them. As they are happier alone without a man. No I live in New York. Not an Applebees city. Regardless OPs main point is that they want warm intros to comeback. Bars, clubs, and Applebees aren’t warm intros. They’re also dying in terms of attendance, especially as a way of meeting partners, as the years progresses. At the end of the day dating market is dictated by women and powerful men. If women want warm intros to return they can change that.

60% of women have used dating apps. So they’re definitely have been on there. I think they just get off faster whether that be due to harassment or finding some quicker due to higher average matches. Desire is the leverage, and its often extremely context dependent. Take a black person whose an objective 10 and stick them in a klan meeting. All of a sudden they’re gonna have trouble dating even though by all objective metrics they re a 10. Often times the people we find attractive are entirely based on the context of who we see a ton. No one likes marriage pity sex. Just like no girl wants to hear a man chose her because he had no other options or because his A-team and B-Team wasnt getting back to him. Also when you were the man she settled for, that often leads women becoming unsatisfied in the long term. Which normally causes them to cheat on you or even stop sleeping with you altogether. Most studies say women who are childless didn’t do so by choice. it was more of a accident caused by waiting for the right person, and that person either never came or they came after their fertility window closed. By definition, having a passport in america already puts you above the average man. The average dude never leaves the country

Its possible but it is rare. Normally you can either finesse as man to another country where either your money goes further, or your looks are more appreciated by the culture.

No, its not easy period. Even if the man lowers their looks standard to the floor. It still requires effort. I dont know where this belief, that "ugly" girls dont have standards or options come from, but they do. The only time sex is easy to acquire for a man is if he straight up pays for it.

I agree with parts of your analysis it just seems silly to me. Lets be real. In the grand scheme of things, most people are extras in the story of human existence. Most people live relatively mundane lives, where they work a regular job, hang out with their regular friends, maybe do a normal ass hobby, and then they die. Why I think OLD is hard on the women's end is that they are bombarded with hundreds of thousands of profiles to choose from. But since most people are pretty fucking similar or …

Most men cheat in marriages when their emotional or sexual needs arent getting met. Its a select group of men, who can just continually attract younger hotter women than their current wives when they are in their 40's or 50's.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 07:16 PM

Lol, tell that to my dad. My mom been benefitting off that emotional equity. He could very easily divorce and marry younger if that was all he cared about.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 07:14 PM

Well the number 1 factor in divorce is actually financial issues. Infidelity is second but men and women now cheat at the same rates. Even then cheating amongst men is normally caused by dead bedrooms. Not a younger hotter chick just appeared. Which is why the caveat of maintaining that emotional connection was stated. I do find the belief that most if not all men will just abuse women, but billions of people have relationships where that doesn’t happen everyday. Mens default isn’t to abuse wome…

This is very true. Take Kendrick, or J Cole, Steph curry, or Lebron. All of these are men, who if they wanted to, could easily "upgrade" their wives for a younger hotter woman. They don't because they value, the emotional equity their wives have built up. Leonardo is an example of the exact opposite, none of the women have time to build up that equity. If they dont have time to build it up, the only metric they compete on is youth and beauty, and there is almost always a younger hotter woman. He…

The post has nothing to do with age gaps, and everything to do with what advantages a women may get from marrying in their mid 20's. You dont have to marry a way older dude. This effect also applies to marrying people around your age as well
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 05:40 PM

This is an example of the phenomena in psychology known as the endowment effect. Where people value things they "own/had possesion of" more than if they had never had it. Not calling women things, but the effect applies in this scenario. When a man marries a woman young, he gets wife goggles. So even as she ages, and isnt as pretty as younger women, he still views her like she was when they met. That plus all of the emotional equity shes built over the years, offer vast amounts of value that is …

Because there kind of is none. What often make women attracted to men is the imbalance of power in the first place. Its that he's older, or richer, or better looking, or more well connected, or in a position of authority over them. The list goes on and on. But the main reason why it will never truly be solved is because women inherently seek out men where there is a power imbalance. Its an attraction trigger. Its very hard to change attraction triggers as they are often genetic.

Yeah if this were actually the case, which I dont think it is, once male creators came into the space it would adjust form a equillibrium similar to male and female pornstars. Top men make like 100-150K, unless theyre masters and branding like a johnny sins. Top women make millions.

Male pornstars is already a good proxy for this. The best male pornstars can make maybe 100k -150k, thats if they do incredibly aggressive and gay porn. The best female actors can make millions. Theres just a gap in demand it aint that deep

Yep Ive had women tell me, a guy they just matched with on tinder told them to come over immediately and they did. Mostly because the guy was hot af to her. If she is willing to play waiting games for multiple dates, it means shes not afraid of losing you at all, and it means she is not that rabidly turned on. Long waiting periods attract 2 types of men. Men who have other options they can hook up with, so they dont care, they will play the waiting game and if you havent built actual value dip w…

Being shamed at 28 for wanting to start a family is wild. When do these women think the appropriate time to start a family would be? Especially since if we're talking about relationships that lead to marriage, you normally have to add at least 3-4 years to your current age. As that will be the age you will be when you finally get married, assuming you met the man of your dreams today.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 06:14 PM

Yep, men are far more likely to base their skill level off of the average of women they can attract. Like if a man hooks up with Rihanna one time at a party, hes not gonna all of a sudden think hes a 10, unless he precedes to continually knock down baddies after that

By natures design it almost has to be unfair. Like lets say we could get a perfectly economically equal society. Women and men would just discriminate on looks, and if hypergamy is to believe men who didnt clear a certain looks threshold would probably be done. Aint nothing fair about this game. In fact i would argue its the most unfair thing we do

I never fault a woman for their "standards". I dont know what you can get and keep. That being said if you cant consistently date or meet people who meet your standards, you dont have a standard you have a wish list. Beyonce says she only dates 7-8 figure men, no one bats an eye. Your average girl down the street, its like well, good luck to you. The only women I really truly feel bad for in this game, are the ones who are unaware of how it works and never really had mentorship. Because womens standards of living without men will rise significantly, mens will stagnate or get worse. Yeah, women say men never settle. Men settle all the time. With girls who are less attractive than the most attractive girl he can get. She might be cooler or nicer or have more money or be a better mom or just less of a headache. But if we're strictly talking looks, men definitely settle. They just dont complain as much about it. Theyre cool with someone who meets 80% their needs vs needing 100% to be satisfied.

I disagree. Before the standard for a tall man used to be like 5ft6. Due to sexual selection and better food, the average is now 5 ft 9 and the ideal to be considered tall is 6ft. If youre theory were true, women should be okay with any man above 5 ft 6 today. But standards change, once something becomes the new average its no longer attractive, its "just the bare minimum". Yeah its why so many of the things that physically turn women on have to do with dominance and/or aggression. The more dominant the man, the more likely he would have been to be able to protect you from other scary men and threats. So height, muscles, resources, status are all just proxies for that, and normally the things that trigger physical attraction. Yeah if anything the red pill actually gives women a pass for the way they are. Its just hey this is general female nature. Do with it what you will. Red pill rage comes from the fact, that women or society will often just straight up lie to men about what women find attractive in men. That rage comes from finding out the truth and feeling betrayed. I think it depends where and how you meet them. White dudes often have to overcome the stigma of being racist and or lame. And that definitely hurts them. But once the girls sure you’re not racist and if you have even a little bit and I do mean an ounce of swag, youre normally in. Black guys on the other hand, especially among educated black women, seemed to be held to some unspoken level of masculinity they have to display. And if not it’s auto reject for days

I have always said this is the solution. You need to limit men to have like 3 or maybe 5 likes a day. And let women have as many as they want. Naturally what will happen is it will force men to be more selective in who they actually like. Women will then get far fewer matches, but they will probably actually be more looks matched to what they can actually obtain. And they deal with way less messages, so better convos can actually occur. Hopefully leading to better dates. The system we have now t…

You have to offer value to that man in ways that other women cant easily replace, and do it specifically outside of the context of sex. And he got nothing because women at that age, who are willing to date down in age, still want a hot guy, especially if its just for sex. The people who could use this strategy and have it work, are ironically all of the people who would never have to use it in the first place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYv9GEaE1-o&ab_channel=GerbertJohnson

Gerbet johnson actually did a video. Hes in his 20's. Set the age to 40's+, still didnt get that any matches really. Meanwhile people here have made profiles with out of shape 60's women, and still got hot young men in their 20's messaging them. There is no arbitrage for young men to take advantage of outside of passport broing. There is almost no age at which a woman cant find sex from a reasonably attractive dude. Commitment from the men she wants sure, maybe even sex from top tier dudes, bu…

By design, environment has a massive impact on people's personality and status. The CEO, who was running shit at home, is now a beta compared to hunter when put in the forest. The self improvement messages are helpful. One thing i want to stress is that it should never ever feel like you have to put on an entirely new character. You dont have to be cold and unfeeling. You should be measured in your responses, but you dont have to be cold and unfeeling. I think we often think our personalities are set in stone but they're actually pretty malleable, and given the right circumstance and people you can choose what parts of your personality you want to highlight with enoug…

First off there are millionaires who purposely take women on cheap dates as a test. Secondly, 100 dollars on a meal to a millionaire is the equivalent of a McDonald’s meal to the regular dude. Thirdly, women are way more likely to be more sexually forward when dealing with someone like that because of the scarcity. So they may not invest financially they are way more likely to invest emotionally and more aggressively. Finally, if the millionaire dude who has tons of options was adamant about thi…

We know what it will end with, soft polygamy and population collapse. Its not rocket science. If more and more people are choosing to stay single for longer, family wont form until later. And more isolated individuals who sole joy in living is for their 10th trip to jamaica

/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 09:14 PM

Yeah i would argue this strategy is more important if shes asexual. For a lot of men, they care about having sex in a relationship. Imagine getting like 10 dates in and then is like Im asexual, you have essentially wasted a bunch of time and money if you want that in a relationship. Same with sex until marriage, although that is something a woman should bring up way earlier
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 08:24 PM

Yeah some girls got dank info, or similar interests. That being said would men being doing all this extra shit for them, nope
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:15 PM

From what I’ve experienced normally after 3 dates you can tell if a girl really has a burning desire to be with you or if they’re just feeling you out. His system filters out women who have lukewarm interest and women who only want him for food dates
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:13 PM

What they’ve found is that when women actually genuinely deeply care about a man they care far less about money being spent and value his time more. In fact those women will often invest in you. So the more you have to pay for her affection, the bigger the sign that she doesn’t actually like you. So this is a smart strategy for men, who often have to pay for everything only for things not to work

Lol this whole post is a water is wet kind of moment. I feel like the more interesting thing to delve into here is that personality is often interpretted through the lens of attraction. Girls, on average, ideally want a man who is 8 inches taller than them. Average height of a woman is 5ft4, add 8 to it you get 6ft. Add to that that it’s a new whole number so 6ft subconsciously feels a lot taller than 5ft11 even though it’s only an inch and you have your answer
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:52 PM

Personality is malleable. I would say of the things that can be transferred it’s actually the easiest and often requires changes in mindset. You can teach someone to be more confident, wittier, dominant, to be better at reading body language given enough time and exposure. You can’t teach 6ft 4 though. Also would need way more context around how you were slaying at 40lbs over weight. We’re you in college, are you particularly tall, were you popular? It’s a multi factorial equation and simply bec…

I think in todays day and age the framing of the problem as a wage gap is incorrect. You could frame it as a hiring gap in certain industries, especially tech. You could frame it as a promotions gap, as women often have trouble navigating the upper echelons of companies. You could frame it as sexist attitudes dissauding women from entering certain fields. You could even frame it as a mothers tax, i.e. now almost all of difference is mostly due to lost wages women face when they become mothers an…

Men who arent on the same level or above their partners, can begin to use cost inflicting measures to try to get them to feel worse about themselves, so they stay. And because most women dont like dating down, and because most men dont like feeling significantly below their partner in stature, I could see birth …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 08:09 PM

Evolutionarily speaking that makes sense. A man with a woman who tons of men are interested in has to constantly be watching his back for threats. A woman whose with a man who no one else wants, is probably lowering her own status being with him opening her up to all sorts of trouble.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 08:01 PM

But looks are the biggest indicator of whether the relationship will even form in the first place. So yes terrible indicator of long term happiness, but great indicator of relationship formation. Most men's problem, especially in this sub is relationship formation, not dang I had the girl I wanted and lost her.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:59 PM

The decision about who to marry and share a life with is literally, the most important decision a human makes, outside of maybe their job. If you wanna travel to a more traditional country for love, do it. This xenophobic urge people have to hate people dating elsewhere seems stupid to me.

People can change though. And boundaries can change and evolve over the course of a relationship. You may not know something bothers you until youre in that situation. What if the guy you were dating was calm until 3 years in and youre married and then he starts yelling at you. Are you in the wrong for not enforcing your boundary earlier, or did he just change? Should every relationship start with an extensive handwritten boundary list that covers all future possible changes? Most guys want a ho…

Of that, even less identify as christian conservatives, most of whom are christian in name only. /r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:47 PM

This is not true. Women dictate to men, who they can and cant hang out with as well. Like not wanting or trusting their male partner's female friends, and in certain cases forbidding them from hanging out solo. Suggesting different "better" clothes for their men to wear. Mate guarding is not a uniquely male phenomena
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:41 PM

But about half of the country lives in big cities. And big city culture often has a way of influencing rural places through media alone
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:37 PM

This reasoning that people stay exactly the same as they were at the beginning of the relationship has always seem disingenuous to me. People change because of relationships they have. This has always been and will always be the case. Like it would be crazy for a man to say just because I married you doesnt mean I should have to invest in you or the kids. Just because I accepted a job offer, doesnt mean I have to conform to new rules they may propose.

Working out, getting my money up, being more confident, dominant in going after what I want, and having moments where I increased status definitely all worked. In some cases drastically. Because the things women typically find attractive are normally indicators that a man is well above average, especially physically. 6ft,6 figures, 6 inches are all the stats of a man who is well above average in each one of those individual things. Id also argue that often a lot of the things that women find attractive about men are relative indicators not absolute. i.e 6ft in america == hot and above average, 6ft in the netherlands == below average height there.

That being said woman did indeed couple with many a men they werent attracted to in the past. Like they literally couldnt buy land, or open a bank account without a man. So womens preferences took a major backseat, to being able to survive. Now that women make money and sexual liberation occurred, womens looks prefer…

Thats actually not true according to studies: In Experiment 1, only women (not men) showed cognitive balance among in-group bias, identity, and self-esteem (A. G. Greenwald et al., 2002), revealing that men lack a mechanism that bolsters automatic own group preference https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15491274/#:~:text=In%20Experiment%201%2C%20only%20women,bolsters%20automatic%20own%20group%20preference.

Men are still the breadwinners in 70% of relationships and the idea that men should pay for date is very prevalent. According Forbes 80% of people think men should pay for first dates. And that number doesn’t really drop as the dates According to credit donkeys survey, 51% of men pay for most dates in comparison to the 49% of women who sometimes pay. There seems to be this notion that while women get more matches they are worse while men get fewer better ones so its more fun for men. After comparing with platonic girl friends, they normally get both more and higher quality matches. They just have to deal with how to sort those options, so its more time consuming on the back end. While I now empathize more with womens role in the game, I definitely prefer it. Give me more choices. At the end of the day while having more choices means more fil…

Lol i finally understood what dating was like for women when i was to switching jobs as an engineer last summer. The market was on fire must of had like 20-30 recruiters reaching out to me a week offering really good jobs. I had to resort to basic af heuristics like highest salaries, remote, prestige, etc, instead of taking the time to truly examine all aspects of every job It was at that moment I realized thats what most online dating is for women. I mean agree. I just dont think it will happen right now because of who holds leverage in the dating market right now. Powerful men with resources can afford to pay for everything, like the competitive advantage they get from paying for everything. Women on the other hand have literally hundreds if not thousands of matches. If you wont pay, someone else will. So theres no incentive for them to pay equally on a date, other than wanting to project an aura of self reliance and self sufficiency. I w…

It doesn't. Mostly because there are far more neurodivergent women than men, so their pool is bigger. On top of that most eccentricities a ND woman may have are more likely to be excused, or even seen as attractive, whereas women are far more likely to get the ick from a ND man not adhering to certain social conventions. Hell they get the ick from neurotypical men all the time over relatively trivial bullshit lol.

First off depends how that weight is distributed. Not all overweights are the same, when it comes to attractive. Secondly you said you mainly date engineers, they typically dont tend to be the most stringent people when it comes to looks. This is speaking as an engineer, who works with a ton of other engineers.

So your career matters to the extent that it creates similarity and gives you the ability to be in proximity to those men. The actual dollar amount you are making doesn't matter. Its why no man is clamoring to date Oprah. You could have gotten a reasonable facsimile of what you have now by simply working as HR in one of those engineering firms and being relatively social. The reason most men dont care about womens careers when dating is because most women expect men to pay for nearly everything.…

Its kind of crazy too cause a lot of the same women who judge a man for going to an escort, are the same women who publicly support sex work. You would basically be condemning these women to both shame and poverty. its some interesting cognitive dissonance

Well straight male escorts online do exist for one, and normally for cheaper than their female counterparts. But more importantly most women do not have to pay to get sex. Most women can go on tinder and find a decently attractive dude to smash for free. In fact they can get dude to pay for their meals and other stuff, so i dont see how its a privilege. Since the hard part of most jobs is normally getting the job, not normally keeping it. And many men have a similar experience dating. There are ton of men who ostensibly, would be good in relationships/job, but get weeded out based on different criteria than that of what leads to a good employee. So it’s not surprising men spend most of their time talking about interview/ getting rather then leveling up specific relationship skills that said specific partner finds relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 09:40 PM

I don’t think that’s a rather apt comparison. The skills that have you excel at try outs are usually the same as the ones that help you excel on the court and play. So they wouldn’t make the team In this scenario the skills are very different for success, the more apt comparison would be like a software engineering interview vs the job. To interview well you have to learn a bunch of skills which kind of translate, but for the most part have only some correlation to excelling at the job.

Lets take the stereotypical 6ft, six figure, six pack. 15% of men are 6ft+ 10% of men (most of whom are old) make six figure or more 10% of men have visible abs. .1*.1*.15*100 = .15% of men meet this standard. This is before…

I do think its dystopian, but not because we have striven to do more, want more, and eventually made that old better the new norm. I thinks that whats driven us to accomplish so much as species. And is a big reason we arent still in caves. The dystopian aspects for me anyway come from things like the unequal distribution of resources, exploitation of minority groups, and the nihilistic fervor that seems to eminate through the fabric of western soceity.

Lol most women expect men to pay for a bevy of things while dating. If youre unemployed that money disappears quick. Also theres a new song, video, etc every week about how women shouldnt date broke men.

Okay cool. If women have high n counts that were public, and men knew what they were , many men would care. According to surveys, 60% of men would care. Sure some dudes wont care, but when you factor in all of the other factor women look for in men, im not sure I would want to immediately cut my chances of finding a partner in half. Like lets just do some basic math. Lets say you just want a dude who is kinda tall, doesnt care about n count, and isnt obese. 40% men dont care 50% men are single 1…

Im just using those girl as an example of what happens when n-count becomes public knowledge. Do I think some of those girls can find love? Sure, some have, normally with other sex workers. Almost all of them talk about how hard dating is even after they stop though. So I think its dangerous pushing a narrative that sizable portion of men wont care, when a lot of men do. Its just that for most girl those numbers are public. According to this survey like 60% of men did care and wouldnt marry: htt…

The problem is when you start stacking other basic things like height, weight, age, proximity, these numbers quickly go from the millions to the hundreds to the tens. This is before we talk about things like compatibility, or money, Granted this is a problem that plagues dating in general, Statistically speaking you can expect your partner to be above average or in a minority in at most 3 major traits. Any more than that and you are literally trying to find a unicorn

but we know most men care in relationships. And we know they care because most really powerful men dont marry pornstars. In fact pornstars have broken down, when talking about how hard it is to date. The only reason some girls might get away with going crazy like that is because often their isnt a public record of their escapades. Retired pornstars have that record, and we see how they get treated often times. Lana Rhodes is a perfect examples, she can hookup with Blake Griffin, but blake griffi…

This is the real answer. When it comes to a quick fling, most men dont care. If you're talking about looking for a life partner, men do care. If they didnt care then ask yourself this, why are most incredibly powerful men dating pornstars? They have the perfect combo of beauty and experience, yet still most poweful men arent snapping them up. The only guys who dont care are guys with no/few options and guys who are just trying to smash. The men most of these women want do indeed care

I havent seen the british version, but I would argue most of the red pill proponents in the sub would say that proves their point even more. Those men were acting with "feminine energy", and as such werent able to buckle down and actually get shit done. That in times of survival, traits normally associated with masculinity, like decisivness, willingness to kill, stoicism, adherence to hierarchy, etc are paramount to success. Sidenote: I did something similar with my Iphone 6 took me forever to upgrade to a 12. Constantly striving to reach a perfection you can only ever hope to asymptotically approach, is a recipe for unhappiness. That being said thats not what we're talking about. I thinks cause historically speaking young men who dont have purpose, oppurtunity to start a family, or a community typically spells bad times for soceity overall. Even if it doesn't mean total violence in the streets, its hard to keep the capitalist system humming if men feel like there no reason to grind for 50 years as a cog in the machine. Disconnected men hurt the bottom line. Its a big reason why polygamy was banned and monogamy became a widely accepted norm in the first place. When a coup…

We're not close to that breaking point though. The average heights in the netherlands is 6ft. If a ton of women are sexually selecting for height there is no reason this cant keep trending upwards as it has done for centuries. Remember people used to be really short because of lack of access to food, and less sexual selectivity. We talking like 5 ft averages. Yesterdays tall, is todays short or average. Disagree that more people will have sex. Women are as picky as their options allow them to be. And its a relative standard. The standard for being tall attractive dude used to be 5ft6. Most men now objectively meet that standard, what did women do? They continuously shift it upwards. Now its 6ft but soon it will be 6ft2, as the average male heights increase. What will probably happen is women will just nitpick on smaller and smaller things. This is what we tend to seen online. When women are flo…

This right here is it. Hypergamy is a relative phenomenon not an objective one. Before a man simply had to have a job. Now a man gotta be tall, handsome, educated, six figures etc. And you can see the relativity of it play out now across the globe. In America a tall man is 6 ft 2. In some asian countries, 5 ft 8 is tall enough for you to be considered tall. Its why there are women in poor neighborhoods/countries who think a man with a decent job is a catch. Whereas there are women who come from …

I think what guys are saying is why try to push an encourage these women to make positive changes when they can go somewhere where they dont have to. Its similar to how a lot of women dont want to sit around and wait for a man to fully develop based on his "potential". I dont blame either party for making the decision because few people rarely make significant life changes

I would say most women would have a problem with men saying this. Imagine a man said about his girlfriend, yeah she was absolutely nothing special when I first saw her. But through relentless conversation she was able to win me over. No girl would want to hear that because girls want to be desired sexually much like men do.

But gay guys are notorious for having the most partners, ie. being the horniest. If your logic follows that men do nothing because they expect the other side to be as horny as them, shouldnt gay dudes have the profiles with the least effort

What the original commenter said still stands though. I dont even have a problem with then choosing assholes. It does get annoying when they choose assholes consistently, because they are more attractive, and then complain when there are no good men. It doesnt even do that though it reinforces the intial point. Simply because the guy has one niche quality, height, so long as he doesnt literally shoot himself in the foot, he always wins. And girls make it very easy for him to do so, despite his lack of social competence

Lol I agree with you. My gripe is with the lack of honesty not the want. I believe people can have whatever preferences they want. Doesn’t matter if the person can or can’t change them. Whether it be height, looks, money, race, personality etc. all are valid reasons to reject a person. No one deserves anything. I do get annoyed when the reason for actually rejected is lied about, mostly in order to not come across as mean. Like imagine if all guys told girls we re rejecting you because you don’t…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 03:19 AM

In this case it was purely physical though. And it is in a lot of cases, women just don’t want be mean or seem shallow rejecting because of looks. So they ll tip toe around the real reason. personally as I guy would prefer she said sorry your just not my type. Your not tall enough, etc. at least I know I either improve my looks, or I find a different girl. Rather than maybe thinking my personality is defective, especially in a case when it wasn’t my personality

This article doesnt disprove what I said. In fact to some degree it strengthens it Lets look at it from a women's perspective. There is a strong societal expectation for men to make the first move. Making the first move is scary and can damage ones ego if rejected. Most women are already inundated with more attention from average men than they know what to do with. So given the circumstances the only reason a women would approach, is if a man is significantly hotter than the guys who are current…

Well being happy a girl made the first move is different than getting the yes. Most guys do enjoy when a girl makes the first move respectfully. Granted just because you made the first move doesnt mean you will get a yes. There are almost no guys who were about to approach a girl, and then said girl asked him out so he said no, because she asked him. They were most likely never attracted to you, so you were either never going to be asked or were going to get a no. All the act of asking does it m…

Easy, swipe limit on men and not women. The problem with dating apps is that men receive too little likes or matches causing them to swipe on more people, whereas women receive too many causing to be even more selective. This creates a massive negative feedback loop. Limiting the amount of matches a man could have to say 5 would drastically reduce men swiping on women they arent that attracted too, and women would have a more accurate sense of who actually wants to date them vs. just fuck
