I’ll let you do your own research. My claim isn’t true if we isolate 25 - 34 year old people, for example, but overall it’s true. I’ll also let you do your own research on income being a predictor of marriage for men but not women.

Funny, I’d think there’d be a measurable decrease in women selecting for income in men were that the case. But then again, a man with an associate degree is more likely to be working than a woman with a masters.

I wonder if there’s a correlation between income and likelihood to be single for men (but not women)? 🤡

It’s expected in the vast majority of cases. From my surveying, almost 2/3 of women on Bumble either want or have kids.

It’s easier to believe all men are losers rather than all men I pick are losers. You’re blameless then.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting a partner who prioritizes their physical health and wellness. That being said, I swipe right on obese women on dating apps. At least the ones that are confident enough to embrace their look. Some obese women on dating apps try to hide their shape. If you don’t like the way your body looks, is it reasonable to expect me to?

Idk the suggestion you’re talking about, but as a man I’ve always thought it was pathetic when grown men piss and moan about the mother “keeping them” from seeing the kid or whatever. I was taught to be accountable for the consequences of my actions, so I use condoms because I don’t want kids. I used to not use them. Honestly, child support is so incredibly low, women (at least unmarried ones, which we’re usually talking about when we talk about “financial abortions”) are incentivized to work th…

Your comment was about the average income for a man lmao

Part of the reason their struggles are a separate topic is that men don’t select for income in the same way women do. Can we agree there? A typical man and woman’s motivation for earning a higher income will diverge because of this.

I’m not arguing that only high earners are being pressured into marriage. I’m arguing that high earning men are much more likely to get married, and that the same isn’t true for women. There’s men that get married in prison. That doesn’t mean being in prison won’t make it incredibly difficult to get married

Do you have a source for most relationships in the US starting online? Holy shit, that’s depressing :/

There’s a very strong correlation between income and likelihood to be married (especially for men).

Honestly the “tax perks” combined with the lack of a social safety net for families are the big reasons that 40% of married women have no wage income. Developed countries typically don’t treat a married couple as one person for tax purposes. The US is fairly unique in that. And it discourages women from working, as they’re typically the lower paid partner (in probably 85% of cases). It’s only 70% of cases if you isolate the 60% of married women that have wage income.

If men emotionally mature and become better partners around 30 on average, idt uneven distribution of household work in cohabitation/marriage would be as common of a discussion as it is.

Could be men and women have different criteria for what defines a relationship. Sex alone doesn’t cut it. It takes consistency. I went back and forth three or four times with a woman over two years but wouldn’t claim her because she wasn’t consistent with me. In her mind I may have been misleading, but it would have felt patronizing to say “now I don’t consider us to be bf/gf if I don’t see you regularly”

If I buy .1 BTC, can I resell that fractional BTC?

The only good coins are BTC and ETH. If you look even at LTC, it is barely up in 3.5 years. The issue is BTC and ETH are not far off their all time highs. BTC could crash 80% from its peak and ETH 94% inside of a year, as they have before
