This situation honestly just sounds a mess, and sorry to say but it's not going to end well. Think about it if he can do this to his wife with you, say he does divorce his wife for you. A few years down the line he's gonna replace you with someone much younger too. Don't do this to yourself. I know it sucks dating as an introvert, I too have been dumb enough to get involved with a married man because I was insecure and loved the attention he gave me, but don't be fooled because a man like that w…

Oh no I'm definitely not defending that behaviour at all. I haven't seen anything like that here which is why it's hard for me to imagine who OP aimed this post at. My thinking is that this post was aimed at newbies who genuinely wanted guidance, and that OP was telling them off for trying to seek knowledge and inform themselves of the right way to go about things. That is why this post rubbed me the wrong way. The type of person you described will not get any sympathy from me, but again I haven…

In that case I agree, they shouldn't get defensive and should be open to learning. Yeah I mean I've only recently realised that arguing with people is a waste of my energy, so now I just block.

This is something that worries me a lot too. After hearing stories about women who are with a man who seems perfect for years and then one day they find out that he was sexually abusing their child and watching CP and all that horrible shit. That is honestly my worst nightmare. I'm always very cautious about how men are around children.

I guess inattentive is a bad example. There are few low value qualities I'm willing to look past which is why it's hard to find examples of acceptable lv qualities. But with that in mind I also don't want to be in a place where I'm asking for so much that my ideal guy doesn't exist. If that makes sense.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/09/20 05:27 PM

For example not texting back quick enough, generally being laid back, not attentive to your personal issues and feelings. Just typical LVM stuff, nothing extreme like flirting with others, or gaslighting or anything like that. Just basic character flaws. I say this because I have never met a man who doesn't have at least a few LVM traits. I think you got extremely lucky, or maybe I need to look elsewhere, not that I'm looking for anything right now.

Thank you! I felt like I was alone in thinking this, it just feels like a paradox at times.

All of these are good points. The thing is that for some of us, there are literally NO HVM in the vicinity. Personally, every single man, from my father to my brother and the men I've dated, and friends, have all been LV. It makes me think that the supposed perfect HVM doesn't exist? This leads to us (well me) to think that making tiny exceptions such as... acknowledging that a guy may have HV qualities in every area except one or a few, which for us is personally negotiable. I sometimes wonder …

I chose to stop having sex back in December when I realised that in all my sexual life, I have only ever orgasmed during sex once. That was the same time I decided to take a break from Old and re evaluate what I want.

Seems like someone who will continually push your boundaries and then keep grovelling/apologising when you put your foot down, to see how much he can get away with. I would advise you to avoid the headache.

What are you even talking about? As the one with the illness it is up to him to do what he feels is right for himself, it's not up to you or me to try and take that control from a dying person. Don't be an asshole. Furthermore, you have no proof for the statement you made about him "not taking the diagnosis seriously" that's just ridiculous and straight up disrespectful.

Yeah no, older men are literally THE worst. This is coming from someone who dated at least four men ranging from ages 33 to 54, and always got similar creepy ass "cAn i sEe wHaT uR wEaRiNg loL" texts, randomly in the middle of a normal conversation. Like, wtf is it with men and making things sexual all the time? The mental gymnastics they must do to steer the conv in that direction. Smdh

That is my experience especially with eastern European men. My ex of 2 years literally pestered me into meeting him the first time we ended up meeting. He was VERY pushy to tje point of guilt tripping me, so I ended up going. This of course persisted throughout our relationship and became manipulation and emotional abuse. I've dated several eastern European mean and its the same thing every time, they literally cannot take no for an answer. With my ex for example I said no more than four times t…

I opened up the channel of communication again with a toxic ex, out of weakness, loneliness.. Whatever it was doesn't matter. But it seems like he's doing so well with his life, and has shown no signs of even remotely caring for me after all this time. I feel really lame and have to wonder what I'm doing with my life..

Worse 😂 you have no idea how awful this guy was, he was abusive, manipulative, the whole deal... If I were to sit here and tell you gals about the story of our "relationship" you'd all yell at me for being such a pick me.. but I finally saw him for what he was and kicked him to the curb, and I would NEVER give him the time of day again. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I have just always been scared of being alone, and was so in love with the idea of finding love, so I never really let it go. I'm going to try and focus on myself now, travel more, nurture my social life and career. I know it will be hard, but I simply can't keep doing what I have been doing.

Yesterday I realised that I have been dating consistently (as in, never really stopped looking, and have always been "seeing" a guy in some way shape or form) since I was 21. I am now going onto 25, and out of ALL the tons of men I've been with in these few years I haven't found a single decent one. Maybe it's me, or maybe it's the standards that I have accepted, but I've come to realise that if I continue this, nothing will change and I'll be going into my 30s with a history and trail of low va…

Sex is supposed to be a sacred act reserved for the person you love, to help you bond on a deeper level. Exchanging that for money, and selling your body, the only thing you TRULY own in this life for like £10 at a time or something, is just degrading.

Someone texting last minute to just "see you" for half an hour screams red flag anyway. BTW he was definitely threatened by your lack of care about him changing plans, so the whole "I changed my mind let's meet" was just a way for him to regain power over you and the situation.

He said "OK." After I told him to fuck off and leave me alone forever. I loved him so much, that all the time I was too stupid to see that he was just using me for sex. He made it clear when I asked him 6 months ago that he didn't care about me as more than just sex, he made it clear 3 months ago that all he wanted from me was sex when I asked him on the day before my birthday if he saw me in his future, and he didn't answer but changed the subject. That is true.. How do I get him to prove himself to me though? I feel like I'm being very passive with him, especially in our conversations. He insists that he wants to travel to a number of places with me, and even show me his home town in Berlin. However I feel like it is very soon for that but I don't feel as if I can say "no" or "it's too soon and I want us to take things slowly" because I don't want to be rude, or make him suddenly have negative thoughts of me. I feel like I'm playing a gam…

I mean he hasn't hidden the fact that he wants sex. We both know that. But I am interested to see if he truly does want anything more. I mean if I don't challenge him to figure out his true intentions it would be a waste. He could be "the one" but how would I know if I don't try to figure him out? I don't know him that well yet.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 06:00 PM

He does always initiate, which I think is good. I just plan what to do because he doesn't know my city.

That's a good idea
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 05:52 PM

I like him a lot though, so it would be hard for me to just walk away. I will just make it hard for him to get sex and that way I can see his true colours. As for me planning the date, he isn't from this country, and isn't really familiar with my city so I thought it would be fair for me to plan. But he has agreed to plan the next dates.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 05:49 PM

Just the fact that he is so interested in sex and hasn't mentioned anything about a relationship. Also, on our first and second date he was very touchy freely while we kissed, literally touching my boob under the bra.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 05:45 PM

Thanks this has helped me address the problem with him, and he seems to actually have a lot of ideas for what we can do outside of my city.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 04:40 PM

I really like him though 😔 we had such great chemistry on our dates. But there are quite a few things about him that are characteristic of a LVM. For example, he always leaves it up to me to figure out what we're doing on dates, I'll ask him what he wants to do and he'll just say "you're the boss". But in his defence he doesn't know my city at all, and when we do stuff he refuses to let me pay. Also, I brought up my worries about him just wanting a weekend together, his response was that if I do…

Yeah, I'm not stupid. Did you read it, because if you had, you'd know that I even went back on myself and questioned if I were the problem, and not men. The post itself was a result of a frustrating situation I found myself in, and not a reflection of how I generally feel about men. If I didn't want people to see it I would have deleted it.
