That makes me want to laugh in pain. And to make it worse, you cannot shed light for someone who does not want to see it. That is certainly an annoyance, particularly if your bonus's or job depend on your managers approval. Can you get another job? It sounds like this toxicity is frustrating for you. Keep a positive frame of mind, help with little things and limit your knowledge shared if it may effect your job. But remember if you do that, he will respond in kind.

I have read a bit about it, what makes you say that?

Hahah, I appreciate and agree with the point you're trying to portray. However for myself, I love criticism and strive to be perfect anything I practice. So I love getting the feedback

I actually really appreciate you taking the time to write that. I want to improve my English as much as I can. Please kind sir, would you take the time to point out more mistakes? Fight the curse of laziness and help a brother out!

Awesome! I completely agree with what you said. Did find this realization while reading or did you meditate after reading or did you just mull it over?
/r/TheRedPill22/01/18 08:46 PM

That does not justify anger in my mind. Perhaps some minor frustration and a note of lesson learnt. Instead of rage, you should have laughed. It's impressive to others when someone can laugh at himself, and you would have been more focused on the next game that day. Whether that game was chess, girls or business, was up to you.

Let me know how applying this to your life goes! Each step becomes more interesting and satisfying with specific steps towards the plan. And curiosity for life in general is sure to follow.

It's one of those things that is near impossible to write down in a way that does it justice. I know exactly the concept/feeling you're to conveying though, and it is beautiful.

Ouch, that's a tough situation. Think of the bigger picture and how insignificant these interactions will be in the grand scheme of your life. They only hold weight in your mind because you put them there and one day they will be faded to nothingness and no one will ever remember they happened. I suggest you try to help this person when you next seem them stuck on something. Sharing knowledge in the right way will slowly change the entire tune of the interaction. Plus you get bonus points for he…

The thing about opportunities, I think the effect of true, random luck is very minimal. If you build the necessary abilities and you are aware of your situation, you will catch most of the opportunities. The ones you've never caught, well you will not have any idea. Yeah, I would agree with that. Read this if you would like something with more info about this concept. Seems like you understood my post pretty well, have you personally received many benefits from meditation?

People take the 'Law of Attraction' to literally. What you said is the perfect description for it.

Just as you cannot love you patient if you're a doctor. Strong emotion takes away rational abilities and forces one down a river of potentially harmful, uncontrolled thought patterns.

Even once externally resolved anger can still linger. It is about understanding what your true perception is of the situation and understanding why you feel like that. That naturally causes it to fade because it has been consciously resolved. I'm not sure why you thought this had anything to do with ignoring what you feel. Rather, I'm trying to provide a passage of insight to truly understanding why you feel that way. Out of the hundreds of thousands of people you will meet over your life, the h…

Yes, meditate. But that alone is not enough. This is about finding the best opportunities from whatever situation you're in. Countless opportunities will be missed if your perception is not controlled. Sure, quit your job if it sucks. I work for myself so this is not a concern of mine, but I do know many people cannot simply quit their job. That's alright if you think it's a feel-good solution. It has yielded many good results for me and I suggest you give it a try before judgement

She has not won yet. It is a hard battle to fight with my countries legal system leaning so strongly one way, but I will not throw a man to the wolves simply because he does not understand. The only reason she can make these decisions is because he has not seen a lawyer yet. You do not overstep the emotionally unstable mother of your kids without having the law on your side. Interesting I had not considered that to be an illusion, but when you think about the dualistic nature of consciousness, how could it not be?

2

Have you gone through this sort of phase before? It has its merits but I don't see how you could want to live like this permanently, it takes a toll on all relationships in your life. The solution is a way to pull yourself out of this state of mind. It's not about being liked by people, it's about living in a world where you're not the only one in it. Sometimes that can be good and sometimes it can be bad, either way it's worth understanding the process and being able to influence it.

That's because we are creatures of habits and that's the only habit you've spent time cultivating. Cultivate your other habits so that they take up space in your mind and once that has happened you're ready to focus on reduction of fapping

Awesome, nice. Hiking is tough to turn into a habit, more of a hobby. But take German and reading. I'm assuming you have truly internalised the benefits these habits will bring through practice and meditation, over the last 2 months or so. Now next time after you fap, think about how much you want to study German or read. If you're keen to jump up, get started and manage to produce good results, fapping is not toxic for you. Again you'll need to internalise your state of mind after fapping and m…

Thanks for commenting. Have you found a habit you want to cultivate? For me going to the gym and writing are the two habits that really pushed me to quit porn and reduce fapping. I simply have no motivation for these activities after. This frustration makes it much easier to maintain control.

I'm very curious, what are you dreams? Looks like you've learnt now, but never talk about trp! It is a valuable lesson to have learnt you cannot help those who do not seek it. It gets frustrating watching people go through the same problems, but they will resent you if you tell them the answer. It must be shown subtly and indirectly, if at all.

I was the same with 'Total Recall', got half way and never picked it back up. I have read Franklin's, it was a good read but nothing overly inspiring. I wrote a brief overview of he concept discussed awhile ago. Awesome! Good luck. Message me if you have any questions about it. Note - If you do not own, you need your landlords permission, in my country. You get to decide what information they provide to AirBnB. Some people are strict requiring proof of address etc, I only require that they have provided government ID and a cellphone number. Fair enough, I think I will be open to posting about the financials of it at some stage. I will say this though: AirBnB is already highly regulated in tourist areas of my country, and the only way to avoid these regulations are to have started hosting on AirBnB before they were created.

Elon Musk's has been my favourite for how intensely he follows passions that are not based around money, but making progression and realizing that money is simply part of the sum of parts needed to progression on a passion or a dream. Anthony Kiedis' book is a great read for relaxing and getting an insight of what it's like to go from nothing to success in music. - Has a lot of drugs and after some standard redpill lessons there's not huge amounts to learn, but it's an enjoyable read. I do smoke, but not everyday anymore. No, positive feelings come and go at the same speed as negative feelings do. I often do not fully understand when a mental process that has changed my mood or that it has even occurred until I am able to articulate it, sometime later if I'm lucky. It is extremely hard to envision the affects of something that is not experienced, so you're going to have to take a leap of faith at some stage. This impacts the rest of my life constantly by providing a certain clarity over my perception of the events and actions that happen around me all the time. It's like the trp kind of, once you begin to understand it, it starts to leak over into other areas of your life and improve them. I can write more but is there any particular part of my life you're referencing? 'women chasing, to weed, to securing new friendships, to buying something new to video games and tv shows.' The internalization is something that happened naturally for me throughout my days after a lot of meditating. When you're pissed off, simply acknowledge the thought for what it is and move back to what you're doing. If being pissed off is your underlining mood at the time, you will automatically come back to the emotion of pissed off via a different thoought and as that happens more, you naturally internalize why it is happening. Don't put to much conscious effort into the internalization, just …

The thing to remember is that this whole process takes a lot of time. During my first year, I took a full 2 month break because I just didn't see the point. Commitment is certainly tough and have no doubt that you will trip more than once. A powerful key is to foster a strong curiosity of your mind. To engage yourself in consistency and cultivate this curiosity I recommend you get a solid 10-15 minute meditation session at least once in EVERY mood you ever experience. This is where routine fails…

Okay awesome, I'll send you a message when I have written my next article which will involve a more in-depth description of actual meditation experiences. Personally, I began with just sitting there trying to meditate. Then I moved onto counting my breath, aiming to reach 100. (I now recommend counting to 10 then starting again at 1). Another great exercise that really sparked my curiosity for meditation is to imagine a light beam from the sun covering the top of your head and it slowly filling …

Thanks for the feedback, perhaps that was the wrong title. The way I thought of it, this was a representation of my thoughts through my experience with meditation. I've never noticed the spray and pray approach, particularly at work I find people to be very specific with who they gift. The fact that reciprocating is no longer relevant in today's society doesn't mean it's any less true. Reciprocation doesn't matter, it's the initial gift that causes the investment

Good luck! Let me know how it pans out. I'm in a similar situation with my pets. I used to have a Jack Russell when I was diagnosed with 'depression'. In my country you cannot walk into a store and spend over $300 without been offered finance. The debt culture is large here, to the extent where people think I'm weird for owning a $2000 car when I could easily borrow enough for whatever car I want. They judge me. However, the rabbit moves fast but comes in last. I find debt culture very interesting also. I suspect it will present many financial opportunities, but this makes me feel like a vulture.

I'd suggest buying a house in your local area. If you've been building your life for a long time you will have family and friends that can help keep an eye on your investment property for you if you have to move away.

I like your reference to 'time value'. It is important, but you cannot forget the value of future time, which you do not want to spend paying interest. I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but in my country the inflation rate has been between 1-2% for over a decade. Leveraging a loan definitely has a time and a place, but be careful. Weigh the risks and be wary of long-term debt you accidentally fell into because your investment went sour.

I like your first line, made me laugh. Debt may allow you to live right now, which is important, but do not sacrifice future potential to live a little better right now. 1/20th of my income goes to my student loan, and this pisses me off since I only studied for 1 year. Idk how people could pay 1/3rd of their income! Random point - By expecting people to seek your approval, you're thereby investing in them. Exactly. Why pay interest on a car, when you could buy a TV and a car for the same prices a little bit further down the track. The moment is now, enjoy it. But don't sacrifice future moments for the benefit of now.

Good on you for staying away, but don't regret what you done. You done it, had a good time, you could have had a better time in the future with your profits, but the past isn't going to change. The moment is now. I suggest using investments to feed your ex-gambling addiction. It is still gambling due to the risk, but it is far more calculated and controlled.

As mentioned in some other comments, personal finance is a taboo topic and people don't want to know that you're planning to be financially independent and debt free because it makes them feel bad. Good on you for paying off your debt and putting off that new car. I'm working on investments currently and my dream is to one day pay for a car with returns from investments. Yes consumer debt is silly, but runs rampant where I live. However I'd argue that mortgages Are a good risk. The average rate of increase in my area is 7%, and paying 5% interest for your mortgage (which the repayments are often similar prices to rent) is a good bet. Can always sell or if you buy in your local area and you have to move, friends and family can help watch your tenants

Having an expensive suit or a car to impress partners are just the cream on the top for jobs interviews and business meetings. The substance beneath is far more important, and you can get the cream with spending what you saved and perhaps borrowing a small amount if you must. If you had to pay 20% of your weekly paycheck to a loan, you would gain more value by working 20% less and spending the excess time building yourself and your ideas. Financially, spiritually and your societal value. Men, be…

Once personal value is added a loan can make much more sense. However, I would scrutinize that people add far to much personal value compared to what they really get/require for their happiness and needs. As an extension, pretending to be rich may pay off now, but if you save the money and invest, you will be able to do far more in the future which will gain you a lot more value within society than what the small loan at the beginning could have ever given.

This is a great post, I've often spent to much time wondering what to say when all I've needed to do was get her to laugh about something silly and get her talking about herself

I would argue that remembering the negative behavior of people towards you is missing out on the present, and sure it may motivate you but it is a bad source of motivation and will only create anger and resentment. True passion and creativity will only come from pure good-willed motivation.

I'm sorry, you've completely missed the point of my post. You cannot be a stoic avenger or be stoic whilst seeking revenge because if you carry out these activities you are fundamentally basing your actions as reactions to what other people have done. My post, along with stoicism, is about moving passed what others have done because it doesn't matter. You are pushing out negative energy and that shit is contagious. You will forever be stuck in a vicious cycle of negative energy if you seek reven…

Haha absolutely! I've found setting up various triggers for you to encounter throughout the day is a good way to combat this. I plan on writing a full post on this later so I won't delve to far into it now.

Awesome! Sounds like you're going hardout and killing it. For to long I've decided what drives me but didn't do it. I find pulling myself back to the present moment and immersing myself in it drives me to fulfill my goals.

Yes, I agree. Coming to terms with realizing over-thinking achieves nothing naturally creates a more stoic state of mind. I've found regular mediation to be the most efficient vehicle reaching and understanding these benefits

this is unbelievably true. I am 23 and living back with my parents. I was deeply ashamed of this and would always avoid saying where I lived or inviting girls over. One day I thought 'fuck it I want a root I don't care what they think'. And I've never looked back. since then I've had a few girls over. Not one of them has mentioned anything about living at my parents or my financial state.

I see meditation is 2nd on your list of priorities, what are your reasons for putting it above the others in #1

If a woman says all her exes are jerks, what would that say about her? Now, apply same logic when you evaluate yourself I feel like a loser; but both my exes were 'angels' ????

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
