You know men don't have to get married, right? It's not a legal obligation....not yet anyway.

By comparison, Novak Djokovic & Andy Murray are married to their highschool sweethearts. Federer also met his wife 16yrs ago. It is kinda galling how few similar examples of that exist with women

What's the difference between a man who is only after pussy & a man/woman who is after a good personality?

That tweet that went viral summed it up: "50 shades of gray is only romantic because the guy is a billionaire. If he lived in a shack in the woods, it would be an episode of Criminal Minds".

Agreed. Not necessarily in terms of it being parent dependant, but in terms of how you defined sexual success. Working your ass off in your early years so later on you can throw money at a woman who has lost her looks & wouldn't have given you the time of day a decade earlier, is kind of sad & pathetic.

There's a big difference between thinking acquaintances have the wrong impression of your husband, & your original "as long as he isn't a jerk to me I don't really care", which is what the thread is really about

Think this was referring more to the "asshole qualities" you said your husband had, rather than the occasional incident that everyone has. Just saying "he's lovely to me, tee hee" is pretty childish. If my friend or girlfriend was lovely to me, but I saw them being a racist prick to someone else, then I'd have something to say about that. And so would they in the reverse scenario

People might say my husband has some asshole qualities, but never towards me, so why would I care? ....because you're a human being? And sooner or later, it'll be your turn to be on the receiving end.

It would certainly save a lot of naive guys a lot of time & energy spent chasing their own shadow. I remember browsing the POF profile review forum a few years back & it was cringeworthy to see the advice given to guys who were obviously being held back by their looks; "Adjust this sentence", "dont say that", "better photos", blah, blah, blah. These guys were jumping through hoops to compete in a game that is rigged against them & no-one would give them the blunt truth. Having said that, some dece…

I don't think random people on the internet are qualified to be answering this tbh, as some of the nonsensical answer here prove

It doesnt matter when they peak, because their peaks aren't comparable. BUT... The 30 year old women will still be VASTLY more attractive than the 30 year old men This

Completely agree, especially with this: One of the nasty surprises of aging is discovering that your youth was protecting you against your bad habits. Lots of people, male and female, are pretty hot at 21, thanks to youth and good genetics. You may be able to drink or smoke or overeat or never exercise, and still look halfway decent. But as the years pass, your decisions shape your body. You put on 20 (or 100) pounds. You get out of shape. Your looks begin to depend more and more on your groomin…
