it's at least 20% lower than most of the statistics I've seen about divorce rate. While not low, it's quite a bit lower than what most people think.

But if you actually end up getting divorced to someone who isn't crazy the divorce isn't going to be as brutal as all these divorces you hear about. I've been part of plenty of divorce cases where the people don't hate each other and they actually want to divide their stuff up. It's a crazy world.

I saw a copule studies done a while back. I can't find them at the moment. But the 50% chance of divorce is including people who got married under the age of 20. Obviously when you're 17 and get married to the "love of your life" you don't actually know yourself very well yet. The articles said something along the lines of a 35% divorce rate among people who got married after the age of 22, which is much less than the 50%+ statistic that people throw around.

Divorce is not statistically likely if you get married after the age of 21 though. So anyone with a strong knowledge of statistics will know that they're less likely to get divorced. Edit: I thought this was /r/mensrights not /r/MarriageIsTheWorstThingEver

But the disgusting thing is is that the mom didn't have to fight to see the daughter, she was just automatically awarded the right to have her. This dad has fought tooth and nail to be able to have 50/50 custody, only to be forced to also pay? He hasn't even complained about paying until he found out about these payments that he doesn't believe he has to pay. This is sexism at it's dirtiest, and you're advocating it.
