I wasn’t being literal with that second half. I agree that there are a lot of backwards redditors, some made it to this comment section. I find it appalling that a majority say “Oh, she’s hot, he’s lucky, should’ve done it with me.” It’s gross, and since they’re glorifying this issue, they’re apart of the problem.

Thank you for this. I was actually hoping for some textbook definition. I was going for a sociological standpoint in my first response. Why? Exactly. I know a couple people from India and it was the same thing for them if they ever misbehaved in classes. While yes, they were harassing her, I don’t think more violence will solve anything. I think of it as a warped “tough love” or “this is the only way you’ll learn” in these situations. That’s my input.
