Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I will definitely look this over!

I appreciate the sweet support. In hindsight, I would have liked to talk a little more about concrete solutions, but it was more of a rant video than anything. I'm hoping the next video will have a little more of a concrete offering. I've been a little more stuck in the philosophical end of things with my videos now that I'm doing more concrete work counselling men with CCMF. To that end, for those wondering in the thread, one of the concrete ways we're trying to address this is in talking to ot…

I am hoping that we are past things like this (fingers crossed), and also that the academic nature of this conference would boost resistance to protests like that, but I know it's hard to be absolutely certain.

Yes absolutely. I will be presenting my portion online from Calgary. Having the little ones at home makes it difficult to travel!

Honestly, that desire to want to learn more and support the cause is way ahead of the curve. Just think of how many men would feel more comfortable seeking support if more people were approaching from a place of interest and support rather than the opposite.

Since having children, especially one only 3 months old, these stories fuck me up way harder than ever before. It's sad that, because I had girls, it was de facto assumed we would never do something this messed up to them. The fact that I would have even had to field the question about it had they been boys turns my stomach.

Full disclosure, I'm trying to manage some emotions here around all of this. I don't really expect you to know about it all, but many of the Badgers have been through some serious shit in the last little while, serious family losses and lots of very trying stress. So that being said, I have to be honest when I say I am not happy to see them (especially Alison) now have to deal with a public dragging of their names through the mud because of an incident in a specifically labeled "anything goes" s…

Thank you for the kind words. I just hope we can continue to try to make an actual difference in how other people respond to men's issues. Doing the best that I can!

Nope. You're putting words in my mouth. You can read whatever you like into what I'm saying, but it remains only that: your interpretation. I wouldn't be putting this much of my life into supporting men and men's services if I didn't care about men. If you prefer to twist what I'm saying into some sort of weird gotcha to try to prove that I don't really care about men, that says more about your weird hangups than anything about me. You can use your negative experience to justify whatever distrus…

You misunderstand me. I don't give a single solitary crap if I live up to your standards. It's not going to measurably change what I am doing or make any difference to my life beyond the fact that I'm taking 5 minutes out of my morning to respond now. I'm just saying that if you hold every woman to these high standards, you're not likely to ever find anyone who will really live up to what you're looking for, so you'll be the one going without. Hey, if you're good with that, then more power to yo…

I am actively working with CCMF Alberta and CAFE national that just opened up the first men's shelter in Canada. I am one of the individuals personally responsible for spinning up the men's counselling program here in Calgary and I am hoping when I am no longer on the national and provincial boards of directors for the agency to serve as the main counsellor here. So if that doesn't count as creating change then I suspect your standards might be a wee bit up there for one individual person.

Hi. Nice to meet you. I've been engaged with the men's rights movement for many years now both privately and publicly and wrote my final master's degree project on male victims of domestic violence. I suspect there are a lot more women who care about this topic than you think.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. You don't stand up for men and then hide the men near and dear to you. My husband is and always has been one of the main motivators for my work with men. I'm not going to shame you for not watching anymore. I'm not your dad, do what makes you happy, yo. But just wanted to point out the flaw in your logic.

I have created an account on bitchute, now I just have to actually add my stuff to it, haha. I already did the same with vid.me and that turned out to be a total waste of time so I've been hesitant to do it again. But this one at least seems to be a little more enduring.

I have been trying to get out more content, but it is very difficult managing everything going on irl and also writing and putting together all the videos myself. I have noticed a serious drop in content from everyone else and it's quite discouraging. I really miss Karen's video essays. I can also attest to what others are saying. I was inspired by the Honey Badgers to begin speaking out on behalf of men, and now I am one of them (though I've been away recently due to being very busy with a lot of life commitments). However, I'd been a supporter of men's rights and donated to men's csuses long before I started actually speaking and having my own YouTube channel. Now I use the proceeds from my channel to help fund local men's services (which, incidentally, I'm also a member of the provincial governance board for those serv…

Don't be disingenuous. Most people who discuss that sort of subject matter are talking about men who were passed out (maybe even drugged) who wake up to find someone riding them. Ask anyone here how they would feel if they saw a man trying to stick it in a passed out woman and I'm sure you'd discover that everyone is reasonably against that, too.

Most women do NOT need an episiotomy. It's a practice that is considered mostly unnecessary because natural tears heal better. Where are you getting your information from?

You have such a wildly warped view of nearly every step of this process, I'm not even sure it's possible to change your view with a mere response saying that, in most ways, it's not like that. You don't love potted plants the way you love even a pet, let alone your own child, but trying to explain that to someone with this bleak of a view on it might not even be possible. It's like explaining why onions are delicious to someone who hates onions. The motherhood lifestyle is NOT for everyone, and …

That's when you tell them, "Hey, I'm pregnant, move your shit." or just cut to the chase and sit on it. They get the idea pretty quickly. I've never had to be quite so aggressive about it, thankfully, but I definitely feel you on how frustrating that is.

Though I consider myself more purple-pill than red, I nevertheless made a youtube video expressing my thoughts on this subject. There's just far too much potential for abuse in something like this, and most people I see using it are not using it in the originally intended way. They're using it as yet another method of bashing all men for the things that a few men do.

This is why trying to capitulate to what feminists claim they want from you is a waste of time. We can't ask them to be consistent in their movement when they can't even be consistent in themselves. The best thing to do is simply to behave in ways that make YOU feel best and not worry about what these screeching harpies want from you.

Hey I've got a really neat idea. It's called feck off. How about, if you want to make more than men, you stop demanding that men suck more to match your level and get off your own arse and go work one of those harder jobs that actually pays more. No? You'd rather complain about it? Okay.

Happy to help. Counselling and men's issues are two things I'm semi-well-versed in at this point! Fortunately, MOST counselling theories ARE still gender-neutral and focus on individual problems, but this does not mean that social justice and feminism is not oozing into that field like a damn toxin and trying to take over everything it can get its grubby hands on. Seeing something I place such high value in be overcome in this way is something I have a difficult time expressing the depth of my c…

I think there are several things that need to change. I'm going through my masters of counselling now and I'm seeing the way that feminist "therapy" talks about men and how they basically need to behave like women in order to be considered mentally healthy. They also behave like men are the catalyst for all women's issues (the patriarchy, naturally). This may seem like not a big deal because ~wooo feminist therapy~ just avoid that stuff, right? Except no, because my soon-to-be current class is b…

If it was indeed hopelessly worthless, the summary dismissal would likely have gone through and this trial wouldn't be happening. Believe me, they have persevered in the face of a lot of nonsense from the other side (which, coincidentally, is why it has taken as long as it has). The questions you're asking suggest that you really don't know a lot about what has been going on with this case and this trial. And you know what, that's fine. (I'm a woman) I'm not going to count people I've just made out with. I have been, in any sort of sexual context, with 5 people. One guy I only went as far as oral with, and then my first and second husband, PIV as you would expect. And then otherwise, I've had reciprocal oral with two women (in the context of threesomes/group stuff with my current husband). Obviously this is not a crazy extensive sexual history, so I've no problems remembering all the people's names. :P So to simplify: 5 total N…

It's so ridiculous what she's had to deal with. All these people throwing these awful comments at her without even watching what she's put out. The video was extremely even-handed and fair. These guys (and everyone else who's pulled this kind of nonsense) are a bunch of jerks. :) Thank you so much! I'm glad to be able to add a less common sort of voice to these kinds of things. I feel like it should be obvious that seeking equality means wanting to help men who are suffering as well. It's as natural as breathing to me. Unfortunately, a lot of the time feminists don't behave that way, so my aim is to point this out in as matter-of-fact a way as possible. I'm glad to have your support! Well, there's definitely no harm in trying again (other than the cost of the international flight, but hey) but if no sparks fly after you try again/you've become more familiar, it might be a good idea to think about trying something else. But really, it's entirely your call.

I got this when I met an LDR in person for the first time. We were super emotionally and intellectually compatible, but there was zero physical chemistry. I wound up ending it because I can't imagine trying to have a relationship in which I feel no chemistry with the other person. As much as some people might like to deny it, sex and intimacy is a really important part of a relationship, and if you're not feeling it with the other person at all, that's a major element that'll be lacking. Not to …

Maybe not in the extreme biological sense that you described, but I thought my ex was a great person that deserved happiness but that, after a few years, I'd realized we didn't mesh in almost any way and that it wouldn't make for a good long-term prospect. I prefer to go by "egalitarian", but as an advocate for men's issues, I'll throw my hat in the ring. I think it started in early university, if I recall correctly. I studied psychology for my Bachelors so it's natural I would run into some feminist nonsense eventually (though I feel like being a correspondence student prevented a LOT of needless frustration in this regard). I think you're right on that first point. The sad thing is, when we first moved in together (we were only engaged at this point--we actually lived together a year before getting married), it was in such a small space that I was able to rationalize a lot of the issues away as "Oh this is just because we're temporarily living in such a cramped space. It'll OBVIOUSLY get better when we get a bigger place." Well, unfortunately, we did eventually get a bigger space. Surprise surprise, it didn't get b…

He proposed after we'd been together only a year, which I felt was a bit strange, but was still thoroughly within the honeymoon phase, so unfortunately no major issues had yet arisen and I still thought we were perfect. We had been living with our respective parents and attending college together. After we were engaged, we moved out of town and into an apartment together. This was the beginning of where things began to fall apart. I'll spare the big long story here, but over the course of two ye…

I did marry the first person I had sex with. I wish that I didn't. It wound up being a terrible relationship in pretty much every regard in the end. It didn't seem like a mistake at first. I don't think I would have made any choices differently. I very much thought he was the one at the time we first slept together (we didn't wait until marriage or anything like that). It's just that things went downhill quickly after a few years. Female. Purple.

Everyone else has already mentioned the obvious discrimination, but what really chafes my carrot is the fact that it would hurt precisely zero people to just -have- the forum where men could discuss their issues. Seriously, what would be the harm in it? I don't understand.

I really do appreciate that. I've spent a long time within both the MRM and briefly looking through TRP and PUA circles (Because in my mind, when someone demonizes a group, I like to go check for myself rather than just assume the demonizer is instantly correct. Things are rarely so black and white). I have been a little bit of a lurker, and I only just started making videos about two months ago. I have my character off to the sides, generally, for when I need to include pictures next to it. I draw all of the characters on tablet (I use a program called Autodesk), and the default background is white. It would take aaaages to draw separate backgrounds for all of them. I could always try and take pictures and then post the character over top of those pictures, but given that I only use Microsoft Paint (Photoshop has always eluded me) it might look a little sketchy. Oh definitely. I think it's so important. I've been seeing more and more men suffering and not having any places to turn to (I volunteer at a crisis hotline--unfortunately, I can't give any details, but I definitely get lots of men in this position calling in and it breaks my heart every time). A lot of feminists are all about how women's rights are human rights--Well, I say so are men's rights, so why are more people not fighting for them? It drives me batty. Wow, thank you very much for the in-depth comment! I'll definitely keep these things in mind! I agree. Roosh V actually put out a video recently I was planning on critiquing, but I feel like I have a lot of other more important videos to put out (like this one). There have been two really, REALLY unfortunate examples of this kind of false information about the MRM being spread in the media within my own province, and it actually disgusts me that people can say things like this without even hesitating. But I wanted to give them their own video, so I'll be doing that next week. :)

For sure, I totally agree. It's fully possible for women to be red pill wives and still be egalitarian about it. We don't need to regress back to the 1800s to have good relationships with our husbands. I'm strongly non-feminist and have taken many RP women tips to heart. I have an amazing relationship with my husband but also have a bachelor's degree (and aiming for a Master's, if I get accepted--fingers crossed). As a Canadian, I'm beginning to feel like I have no real candidate to vote for next election.
