My thoughts on Walk Away WivesThank you. No need to apologize, your emotions are just as valid as mine even if they are in conflict. I certainly did miss signs, but they were veiled as jokes or unserious comments. Things like “ah you could talk about that in therapy.” She had a desire for me to seek therapy for childhood trauma she thought was affecting me but never sincerely asked me to go. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong. She’s not willing to repair and I need to come to terms with that. Myself… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 06:28 PM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesI agree with you. Women do have very right to walk away. I also think myself and many men miss cues and communication. I think both parties would benefit from directness which is what I wish I had. I certainly don’t need a list but effort and accountability from both sides is desirable. It takes time and effort to develop habits that make a relationship successful. She didn’t love me enough to wait for change and that hurts. I think the point of the post is not for women who plead and beg their … | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 06:05 PM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesI was a good husband. I’ve supported her for two years as she searched for a career. I’ve handled more than my fair share of cooking and cleaning around the house while working full time. My issue as I’ve worked out while still talking to her is being “emotionally unsafe.” Essentially invalidating her feelings by trying to solve her problems or talk her down from them. I never meant to make her feel like she didn’t matter I just wasn’t aware enough to change. We never talked about her feeling un… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 05:45 PM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesFully acknowledged she is her own person. She is free to make any choice she wants, but that doesn’t invalidate my feelings. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/12/25 11:34 PM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesI did plenty wrong. We both did. Difference is I want to work on fixing things and she doesn’t. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/12/25 09:15 PM
Finding purpose after divorce?I’m struggling too. I’m already in great shape, I need to keep that up. I think my main goal is be more social with friends and family. I’ve hidden myself away for so long and it’s time to open up again. I’m going to be kinder to myself, take more breaks, and just focus on feeling okay day to day. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/12/25 03:31 PM
My thoughts on Walk Away WivesMy wife dropped the bomb 11 days ago and we are working on a separation agreement today. No communication, no effort. The worst part is that we are taking and interacting better than ever. Literally laughed until we teared up last night but she still wants to separate and still wants to be done. I travel for work and she has grown to resent me being gone. Started to blame me for not having friends or a life outside of being a housewife. She doesn’t work by her own choice and we don’t have kids. … | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/12/25 02:50 PM
