That's fair. I'm biased against the Springfield XD series, every one I've seen broke and I find them clunky and aesthetically offensive. S&W or Ruger revolvers, however, can be used as hammers or clubs in a pinch, reloaded, and counted on to maintain accuracy and reliability. Not sure about modern Colts, they haven't really been out long enough, but I don't trust Tauruses as far as I can throw the factory.
