Yeah that could be the case for some Asian countries like China as we’ve seen growth, but other Asian countries like The Philippines and Indonesia have genetically short people. And the reason models are tall is because the proportions more ideal for a catwalk, being easier to see through while walking, not because of attractiveness. If the feminine ideal was taller any man who had options would go for taller women but that’s not the case.

Let’s take a 5’1” woman as an example, if she was a man she would be something along the lines of 5’6” since men are on average 5 inches taller than women. The way I see it is that men do minimally focus on looks, as long as the woman is not a land whale or borderline deformed she’s good enough. Women on the other hand focus much more than men on looks but also have other standards than looks, like confidence and wealth. That gives the illusion that men are more shallow than women because although women focus a lot more on looks than men, they also focus on many other things at the same time.
