It could either go 1 of 2 ways. They laugh and just say its "cool, funny etc" but don't do anything with it or they think its weird and you're weird for doing it. Maybe just kinda hint to it.

Hmm really? I don't use Pandora, but it seems to be the most popular. I use SoundCloud on my phone. Maybe you can google how to get passed this "restriction" you're having in your country, but it will probably only work for PC and not mobile. I think there is also a chrome extension called streamus or something like that.
