Interesting articles. I'd love to see this sub actually debate this instead of just shrugging it off. The idea of impulse control being stronger in girls is the one I'm most interested in. I'm about to marry a woman with two kids, their dad is in the picture but as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to be their real dad because he doesn't do crap with them. Is not rather unusual dude, women initiate all the time. They might do it less than men but it still happens often. A lot of times it's subtle, so a lot of guys miss the signs, but that's because those women haven't learned to be up front yet.

Yes because the author is using a half truth. There are some women who are manipulative, who use sex as a means of control, and there are many men who are conditioned by women in a negative way. However, based on the summary of the book here, the author implies that this behavior is done by all women. That is simply not true and I believe it's not even the majority of women who do this. It's just as sexist as saying " Men only want sex" or "Men will rape if they can get away with it".

They can be mutually exclusive. MRA is concerned primarily with men's suffering, leaving women's suffering as a second thought. I've seen that logic used by critics of feminism, saying that it only concerns with women's suffering and not with men's. So I think it's best to simply say that I'm an egalitarian, as that covers the rights and suffering of all people, instead of swearing allegiance to a long list of movements for every class of people.
