If you can find them, sit down and have a conversation with them. Some of my good friends are close to what we'd call egalitarian, but merely choose to call themselves feminists for whatever reason. Good feminists exist but they're more often than not very quiet. The issue is not that there are bad feminists; every movement has its bad (or even horrid) apples. The issue is that some of these awful feminists have the ability to implement dangerous and/or misandristic policies that have an effect …

I got banned from r/feminism for posting in /r/wherearethefeminists, which is a sub concerned partly with people getting banned from r/feminism. Pretty sure their ban-happy mod frequents that subreddit as well.

The best part of this entire thing is the start of the rant. men fabricated the idea that they are the default sex to compensate for biological inferiority and general superflousness
/r/MensRights27/05/16 06:32 AM

Bear in mind that in that context, she is putting the happiness of a woman OVER the life of a man. A man's life is priceless, except when women are unhappy. Absolutely insane misandry.

A well thought out response. I don't doubt that there is validity to the statistics, but to say the statistics are related to an "ethical inferiority" is absolute hogwash.
/r/MensRights21/03/16 01:46 AM

Show me the statistics first. And furthermore, just because someone is more likely to do something doesn't mean that it is an inherent thing. People from lower socioeconomic classes are more likely to commit crime. Are they "ethically inferior" to higher classes? EDIT: Here's an explanation, just so when you show me the hard statistics. Due to the way families are structured, even today, women are much more likely to be caring for their children while the father is out working. If it is, say, 50…

Do you support the notion that men are the cause of problems in society? Do you support the notion that a patriarchal society is the direct source of harm for a culture? No? This video advocates the exact thing but in the reverse direction. This video doesn't waste any time in saying that liberated women will destroy civilization. My god man. This has nothing to do with Men's Rights. It's absolutely abhorrent to even be publicized on this subreddit.

I doubt anyone takes Buzzfeed that seriously, but Scaachi Koul unfortunately does require a bit of attention. After all, it was Koul who appeared on the CBC panel on Men's Rights where she proceeds to laugh at the list of male issues brought up. Koul who wore a poppy during the panel, which is an expression of empathy for all of the soldiers who have gone and fought, the overwhelming majority of whom were men. Most of who had no choice in going or staying. And she laughs. If I ever met Scaachi K…

Yes, indeed, what about the men and boys? Why is it such a problem to look at the problems for both sexes? This is a discussion about the shit deal Afghan men and boys are getting and the lack of empathy they are receiving due to their sex. You are saying something akin to "but what about the women?" when this discussion is on the disproportionate amount of empathy that women receive over men.
/r/MensRights16/02/16 05:56 AM

I wish to pose a general thought on the petition that is approaching 5000 signatures. I am against leaving students SOL in any form, regardless of the program. I was going to sign until I actually read what was said. (...)and is a blatant act of inequality and misogyny. Misogyny? Wait a second. I thought gender studies was inclusive to men! Are there men in the program? At least one man? If there is, can you be misogynistic towards a man? You cannot scream misogyny when this is supposed to be a …
/r/MensRights03/02/16 06:36 AM

I'm not here to debate the validity or merit of this program. I see little real world value to the program, and I think if it is to continue and grow, it needs a major reorganizing. Getting rid of this male hostility is a necessity if proper research and study is to be done in the context of gender. I mean, Dalhousie University staff at their "Symposium on Misogyny" following the dentistry scandal had profs from that department outright saying they always let women speak first, to the extent tha…

The apprehensions over WGST aside, the issue here is not that they're dropping the program, but so far, with the information we have, the university is not letting those 2 or 3 years into their degrees actually get their degree. They aren't phasing out the program, which would be the responsible thing to do, Instead, they are leaving a bunch of students completely shit out of luck. Two, three years down the drain with no minor to show for it. Opinions on Women's/Gender studies aside, that is a p…

When feminists say "we want men to be more emotional" I have to wonder if these feminists have ever asked men what they want. I've said it time and time again that feminists wanting men to be more emotional is to a standard men are not allowed to choose. They get to dictate acceptable levels of emotion. Expectations of stoicism are harsh but I have seen them come from women more than men. Oftentimes, men ARE emotional, but often only to people they can wholeheartedly trust. I'm not saying only w…

The thing about the friend zone is that it is in most ways a strawman in itself. A friendzone applies to so many situations that it's a pejorative and a "brush off the shoulder" reaction. A friendzone to me is when someone has non reciprocated feelings for another, the the other person uses that knowledge to take advantage of the first person. Friendzoning is not rejection, which is how so many people put it. Furthermore, people aren't entitled to remain your friend. So many people, particularly…

Definitely. However, I've seem it much more so framed as Pro-Choice / Anti-Choice EDIT: I'm pro choice and always have been, but the discussion is getting framed with this Newspeak-esque style of dialogue where only one side gets the right to speak freely and the other side just has to sit down and shut up about it.

But what really upsets me is the feeling that radicals of any movement seem to discredit the very legitimate issues championed by the quieter majority. I am totally fine with calling "pro-life" people anti abortion. Can't people get past the idea that obviously abortions should be taken seriously but be available? This just feels like Orwellian Newspeak to me. I'm okay with encouraging calling it pro-choice, but banning pro-abortion is just silly.
/r/MensRights28/01/16 11:22 PM

How. How is pro-abortion an insult. Pro-death I can see, but PRO ABORTION? Are pro-choice people NOT SOMEHOW IN FAVOUR OF ABORTION? When was this decision made? Who passed this?

I've seen men and women make fun of guys for being emotional. However, aside from poking fun and joking around, I've never in my life seen guys react with such disgust towards a man being emotional when the situation was real and raw and genuinely destructive mentally. Shouts of "pussy" and "loser" are there sure, but when things are serious guys more often than not understand. The expectation of stoicism I've found is from women more so than men. It isn't a coincidence that women want to "talk …

Well I don't hold onto my views so tightly. I'm always willing to change if I'm shown to be wrong. As for leaving my comment up, it would be disingenuous to just delete the comment. It would be, in my opinion, rude to the person who helped change my view in the first place.

/r/MensRights25/01/16 08:18 PM

Fair enough, I didn't catch that. Everyone was so busy trying to shut Milo up that I could barely hear him talking at all.
/r/MensRights25/01/16 07:58 PM

I just checked the video. Milo gets silenced by Smurthwite and St Louis and then Connie jumps right in. "this is the man who went on twitter recently, and said he wanted somebody assassinated." To which Milo replies with "You're a liar. You lied about Tim Hunt and now you're lying about me."
/r/MensRights25/01/16 07:23 PM

So you think that men having parts of their genitals cut off before they're even old enough to object is not proof of men having a shit deal? And if religious freedom is your justification, should people be allowed to kill in the name of their deity and not face punishment? I mean, it would be trampling on religious freedom otherwise. If circumcision for non medical purposes was to be allowed, there would have to be a concrete benefit to doing so. However, studies point to circumcision being mor…
/r/MensRights25/01/16 04:46 PM

Hold on, didn't she say Milo called for an assassination before he brought up tim hunt? Wasn't him mentioning her lies a response to her initial criminal accusation? It doesn't even matter if the tim hunt remarks were true or not. This failure of a reporter lied on her CV to get a cushy job, then got to KEEP HER JOB when they found out. "As a journalist, I don't even have to defend myself."
/r/MensRights25/01/16 01:28 PM

Not just that, but then they have the gall to wonder why these men are killing themselves! Who is promoting toxic masculinity here? I can tell you that IT'S ISN'T THE MEN It seems I've fallen victim to incomplete quotes. I retract the statement above.

The quickest way to an abolished draft is not to outright get it abolished, but to advocate for a genderless draft. If women are forced to sign up for the draft, then government agencies would be quick to get rid of it. Sending men to war would mean sending women to war, and the State will outright refuse to do that.

Hearing in MSM about this so called "Men's Rights Hate Group". Instead of jumping on the hate bandwagon, I decided to do some digging and look around. Saw no rape jokes. Saw no serious calls to violence. Hardly saw any outright misogyny (lot's of antifeminism but not necessarily woman hating). will censoring all dissenting views This is adorable, because every time a feminist comments here with good intentions, their posts often are the highest rated and spawn actual conversations. What MRAs don't like are blatantly misogynistic posts that do nothing to support the Men's Movement. You know why? It would be fine if they addressed female suicide... if their concern was primarily on helping the majority of men who are at severe risk. This is an interesting video, and while I think Shapiro is in the right I think he definitely could have done this much better. When quoting statistics from the department of labour, you need to be very careful in how you phrase it. He said "women work less hours, take less risky jobs, and have children and take time out from the workforce". He needs to add an "on average" into that sentence, and it's perfect. It becomes the perfect challenge to the "pay gap" idea. If you leave it out, you just …

Men are at fault for all of toxic masculinity, after all. I mean, men definitely share some of the responsibility, but women enforce "male" gender roles just as strong as men do. I mean, the same thing started with the term "rape culture" did it not? It started as a means to describe a form of rape wherein men were the primary victims (male on male prison rape). The term has since been used to talk about a society in which the rape of women is normalized. If we deem normalized to be a situation in which an act is deemed not important or worthy of concern, then the most "normalized" form of sexual violence in Western Society, possibly every modern society, is female on ma…

Whom the majority of men have gone on record to decry and express their disgust, if not a cautious "let's wait for the evidence before jumping to conclusions" You're taking that one instance, and using it to justify MISANDRY. To say that people saying that KILLING ALL MEN IS…

Um, yes? There's what, over 300 million people in the States? If we can say that roughly half (probably less but I'm not diving into statistics) support the left, then that's 150 MILLION people. Now I don't know about you, but the people who are making and supporting these regressive claims probably number in the thousands, let's give them a million just to be really fair. 1 million =/= 150 million. We can bump this number up to 10, 25, 50 million, and they will still be a minority among liberal…

To be entirely fair to Carrie I don't think causing a big ruckus was her intention. The way she brought it up was almost in a joking manner, and like usual the media (notably feminist media) spun it into sexist, misogynistic objectification and fat shaming. Her quote felt more joking around to me, like "haha yeah this sucks but we're actors so we do it"
/r/MensRights21/12/15 05:38 PM

Reminds me of the outrage over Carrie Fisher being "pressured" into losing weight for Star Wars. Male actors are losing and gaining great deals of weight for roles ALL THE TIME. I don't think it's okay to modify one's body so significantly, but one instance is not sexism when the others are just considered par for the course in acting.
/r/MensRights21/12/15 08:59 AM

Most of these people are regressives, not progressives. That is the opposite of what the left (assuming left denotes liberalism) stands for.

This only goes to show that the unfortunate paradigm that I had hoped wasn't true might be otherwise. Feminists will only take false accusations of rape seriously when they happen to women. If guys could falsely accuse women and be taken seriously by society, it would be a mainstream issue.
/r/MensRights21/12/15 07:30 AM

I’ll hear a hetero guy talking about how important women’s pleasure is Two things. One, any guy who genuinely enjoys pleasuring a woman during sex IS BEING SELFLESS. HE IS ACTUALLY HOLDING HIS PARTNER'S PLEASURE ABOVE HIS OWN. Someone focusing on the pleasure of another is not intrinsically a bad thing, but there needs to be at least a little give and take. Two, men are being told that they aren't allowed to be "selfish" during sex. How many times does the media make fun of a guy who can't "get …
/r/MensRights21/12/15 07:24 AM

And if you'd rather use a sexbot instead of porn? Sexist too. Fleshlights are sexist as well. Said the feminist who is totally fine with the copious variety of dildos available.
/r/MensRights21/12/15 07:15 AM

The first quote would be entirely fine if it was worded like this. Added word in bold. The suspected had previously denounced the deceased for alleged gender violence whereas he denounced her for supposed mental abuse. Not playing sides or jumping to conclusions.
/r/MensRights19/12/15 03:54 PM

To be entirely fair, gay men would be summarily executed by ISIS. There's probably no chance for them to keep their lives with a "join or die" ultimatum.

And if you pick the wrong side they will kill you. And if you pick the "right side" (right being the one that doesn't immediately get you executed) and somehow avoid losing your head from someone on your "side" while actually in service, you'll be killed in combat. Great life to be sending these men back to. That certainly won't create any more terrorists who openly hate Canada right?

The funny thing is that 16 is the age that a large number of my peer group (myself included), started to drift towards atheism. It's an age where most people might start to question lots of things they are being told. Saying "this might be a load of tripe" becomes really common then. ‘Why are victims getting all the support, when the falsely accused get nothing?’ This is a really sad thing to see. I agree with most your points, except for the one about mgtow. I think it's fair to say there are selfish people in the mgtow movement, but the movement itself is not inherently selfish. Feminism has always been this way. It has always been a man hating, pro women only pseudo hate group. I disagree with this. While Feminism has had its rough patches (much more so today), and has theory not entirely lining up with reality, it is in the end a female empowerment group. Is that a bad thing? This is what the MHRM essentially is, but for men. Feminism focuses (or at least tries to) on women's issues, and thus the MHRM tries its best to do the same. Labeling Feminism a man hating group…

Seems like many ideologies eventually succumb to unchecked hubris and hatred. What worries me is that the MHRM will go the same way. Right now we have a community of fact-checkers and source compilers, but that might change. Let's hope the MHRM never becomes the beast the mainstream says it is.

A Tory MP has finally been granted a debate in parliament on International Men’s Day after he sparked a major row over the issue two weeks ago. What? He didn't "spark a major row". That responsibility can be on the shoulders of Jess Phillips. He was proposing that they talk about men's issues and was guffawed at. He didn't start any controversy. I absolutely hate the way news sources weasel around the truth to push the sort of message they want.

/r/MensRights10/11/15 07:55 PM

It's amazing that such an obvious statement such as that even deserves an article. Yet, we live in a climate that is okay with brushing off male victims of domestic violence. When we say "but what about the men who are suffering?" they respond with "well we're not talking about women." When DV statistics show a near equal number of victims between men and women (40% in GB but it changes from country to country), focusing on half under the guise of equality is despicable.

I'm not going address the ad hominem attack. Whether or not you want to believe it, feminism claims to stand for all women. I understand there's a difference, but caustic baseless statements against feminism will be perceived as misogynistic.
/r/MensRights06/11/15 04:42 PM

In the nisvs, male rape victims are classified under made to penetrate. I can see where the confusion lies but you are slandering me by saying I fabricated a statistic. Sure semantics can tangle things but male "rape" victims in the nisvs are males made to penetrate.

Discussing statistics is a road people shouldnt take? I didn't have the statistics on hand, so instead of saying "here they are" and leaving it at that I left some notice and changed my comment upon receiving the proper stats. So many people fail to realize such a simple thing. It is completely okay to have movements tailored towards the improvement of rights for a specific gender. Feminism, Men's Rights, whatever. Having a movement focus on one is NOT a bad thing. They missed the part where he was asked about it. What if he denied the question at all? They'd shout him down for that too. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's like, if you want someone you dislike to come under fire, just ask them their opinions on anything feminist-related. Doesn't matter the answer they give, SOMEONE will attack them for it.

We find the one-sided scale more appropriate for our purposes. Our purposes? The fact that they considered using the PROPER GRAPH and chose against it to make the biased graph seem like equality is giving extreme favour to women is downright ludicrous. The graph itself doesn't make me angry. What makes me angry is the deliberate alteration of statistics to make it seem like sexism is equality. That is unacceptable. The UN should be representing the citizens of its member countries equally. Since…

Rodger claimed he would “punish” young women for rejecting him and never giving him a chance. This is often the leading feminist argument towards toxic masculinity and they bring up Elliot Rodger a lot as some kind of demented "standard" for guys. Here's the thing. Elliot Rodger was an asshole who definitely needed help, and it's hard to argue that he wasn't misogynistic. What he did was selfish and despicable, and no one can fight that. But when he says rejecting or not giving him a chance, no …
/r/MensRights23/10/15 03:31 AM

I don't think that MRAs will argue that men's rights is about equality for women too. I think most of them have been told that stance enough already and aren't dense enough to repeat that argument back. The issue lies in that feminists have often gone on that because feminism exists, the MRM shouldn't because feminism is doing tons for men (which certainly is not true). I doubt many MRAs will actually say that feminism shouldn't exist because the MRM does work for both.
/r/MensRights22/10/15 05:54 PM

It's interesting to see that a lot of the most misogynistic things come directly from the extremely pro-women groups.
/r/MensRights22/10/15 05:51 PM

I agree with you. I'd assume it's directed more at the extremists who genuinely believe that feminism = egalitarianism and thus is equally about men and women, but will still turn around and say criticism is misogyny. For the record, I am not opposed to feminism at all. A women's rights movement is perfectly fine in my book. But you have feminists saying the MRM shouldn't exist because they do, while doing absolutely nothing for men.
/r/MensRights22/10/15 02:54 AM

I think what OP was trying to say was that the only way questioning feminism could be deemed misogynistic is if feminism is gynocentric. If feminism is about men and women, then questioning feminism sholud be deemed by this person to be misogyny AND misandry, but obviously that isn't the case. Thus, the intention of saying "feminism only about women = misogyny" makes sense but is very poorly worded.

So many strong notions that the source automatically devalues the material. Should a questionable site make one wary? Duh, but that automatically won't count it out. Hell. Fucking Jezebel could put out good material.

She shouldn't have to face charges. Should she lose her job and have trouble finding abother one for her views? Absolutely. A situation occured at Dalhousie University in Canada in the previous year, where a group of men created a private facebook group dubbed a "Gentleman's Club". After it came to the public light that a shit ton of misogynistic things were being said (and don't get me wrong here, what was said was very sexist and hateful), people lost their collective shit. There were entire l…

The modern man never lets other people know when his confidence has sunk. He acts as if everything is going swimmingly until it is. Isn't telling men that they shouldn't talk about their problems a direct contributor to suicide? The modern man lies on the side of the bed closer to the door. If an intruder gets in, he will try to fight him off, so that his wife has a chance to get away. Male Privilege

This reasoning is so beyond me. I'm certainly not a uber-masculine guy. I'm more emotional than most of my friends. But I still call myself a man, because I know I am one. Just because I am not the typical masculine archetype doesn't mean I need to vilify it. Let people be how they want to be.

Props to the article for explicitly stating that a study of only 1 campus is not enough to declare what the norm is. Honestly, the problem with statistics surrounding this issue is that of not representing the reality of the situation. Regardless, this is certainly an interesting statistic that can be used in isolation.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 10:05 PM

Reality is those failure to launch boys would still be called rapists (rightfully so) if the genders were reversed. EDIT: removed some words
/r/MensRights05/10/15 05:12 PM

I probably should make it clear that I completely oppose what extreme feminists say in this situation. But yeah, this notion could be applied to practically any minority situation. Easy way to spread hate.

Feminism doesn't automatically mean man hating. That's just like saying MRAs automatically hate women.

/r/MensRights05/10/15 01:06 PM

I'm gonna have to say that in context, the "she just hates men" is that she is/was using feminism to hide her misandry, not that she "only" hates men.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 01:01 PM

Do you have a link to that statistic? I'd be really interested in finding out more.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 12:23 PM

These numbers aren't intended to actually be the right numbers. It's just showing that if you use the statistics that extreme feminists like to use in an attempt to deny that false accusations are a problem, then you are still left with a huge number of false accusations.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 11:19 AM

The problem is that radicals eat it up and spread it without thinking, and the more moderate feminists are mostly too fucking scared to argue with them. I've had a close friend of mine who identifies as feminist say "Oh her? Yeah... I think she just hates men."
/r/MensRights05/10/15 05:00 AM

I agree completely. It's just that such a thing is disregarded among radicals because the idea that women might lie is beyond them.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 04:57 AM

Well duh. The truth is false accusation stats vary A TON and no one can truly say exactly what the percentage is. However, let's just use the 2% (extreme feminist favourite) statistic and couple it with the other touted remark (the Mary Koss statistic) that claims 1 in 5 women are raped. Let's assume both of these are true. There were 158.6 million women in the USA in 2009. If the 1 in 5 statistic is true, that means 31 720 000 women will be raped/have been raped. Even if the false accusation st…
/r/MensRights05/10/15 04:53 AM

No they won't. Extreme feminists will say (as I have seen firsthand) that "since false rape accusations make up 2% of all rape cases, they should be given no consideration".

Certainly it makes things difficult to take things seriously. Make sure when you're arguing the point to say on average men sacrifice more time for work, ect. Fight statistics with statistics, not generalizations.

This would be an excellent point if the wage gap was actually a result of discrimination. Surely discrimination in the workplace based on gender exists, but the 20ish cent wage gap is misinterpreted. That being instead of the average earnings of all men compared to the average earnings of all women, it is interpreted to be that women earn 74 cents for every man's dollar FOR THE SAME WORK. You're paid the same for the same work. If you can show that you're being paid less for equal work, then you…

Some choice quotes for those who won't bother to read the article. Personally, I might choose a different battle to risk my job over, like: Are the skirt-wearing non-male people in your office being promoted and paid equally, while elsewhere in our shining democracy women earn 74 cents for every dollar earned by men? Putting words in the person who posed the question's mouth. (EDIT: The person did mention protesting, but I really don't think the protesting he had in mind was picket signs and boy…

By all means. It's just a conflict of opinions, I guess.
/r/MensRights02/10/15 03:05 AM

I probably shouldn't have said it was your title. Instead I should have referred to it as the title instead, so the title is detached from the poster. I didn't mean for that to come off as a personal insult. I just think that in a subreddit like this, titles should be as objective as possible, and we can leave the subjectivity for the comments.
/r/MensRights02/10/15 02:36 AM

The last part of your title is completely unnecessary and inflammatory. It is much better to present the findings as you're presenting news, and let the opinions be discussed in the comments. Nevertheless, when I realized how the majority of missing and murdered aboriginal Canadians were men, I felt sick to my stomach. Now let's think about the statistics and the reason why CBC only focuses on the "women and girls" narrative. According to the source Imthere posted, 71 percent of all murdered abo…

The article doesn't even coincide properly with the title here. "People go on and on about the objectification of women, and rightly so. But, what about the objectification of men? He's just saying that men are ALSO objectified, but no one likes to talk about it. The title completely misquoted him.
/r/MensRights01/10/15 03:14 PM

Wow. You'd think a chain as big as Tim's would have different pants for boys and girls.
/r/MensRights26/09/15 03:57 PM

I'm quite surprised that your workplace provided pants in the first place. I always thought it typical for them to only provide the upper half of the uniform. But yeah, unisex pants definitely feel like a dumb idea.
/r/MensRights26/09/15 01:54 PM

Just an anecdote from a place I've worked at. When working, the boys must have their shirts tucked in. If they are in a position of authority, they must wear a red tie brought up to the collar. I agree that this is how it should be, as it looks professional. The girls, however, can leave their shirts untucked. Instead of a tie brought to the collar, they can wear it loose, or wear a scarf instead. There are women's shirts and men's shirts, so I can't see why there would be trouble for a girl to …

This is a really interesting topic for me, one that's put forth a plethora of opinions. Would heterosexual men genuinely desire no more female companionship if sex robots were an easily accessible thing? I'm not entirely sure. After all, being intimate (something which I know I personally desire as a guy) is probably impossible with a robot. What it will probably do is cripple women's sexual advantages over men. Suddenly the standards most men will have when it comes to picking a partner WILL be…

Which is a shame, because most of the feminists I've talked to have said they cannot stand the vocal minority that has made feminism into such a negative thing. The problem is no one is willing to hold these people accountable for their actions. If everyone raised an uproar (moreover, if FEMINISTS raised an uproar) over Jessica Valenti saying "so what if we hate men?" then everyone could get on with fighting for genuine issues. A close friend of mine said a while ago that "feminists should be by…

Every movement has its problem people, some of whom end up in positions where they can say quite derogatory things. While most here will probably disagree with me, I personally think Paul Elam would be looked at as a "problem person" from outside of the MRM. He's reactionary and quite radical, even though many of his viewpoints are satirical in nature and taken out of context. The problem is that these radicals have, sometimes indirectly, tainted the views of movements so bad to the point where …
/r/MensRights18/09/15 07:50 PM

I agree with you completely. We're implying that on someone's 18th birthday, they suddenly get the mental ability to consent. I personally think the law shouldn't be so black and white, and instead be much more nuanced. There are cases where statutory rape laws can be used justly, as certain instances might mean consent is given under stress or fear, but these do not make up 100% of all situations.
/r/MensRights18/09/15 06:56 PM

but the laws we have now need to be applied equally. That's what most people here are probably arguing. These posts are probably meant to be critical of the double standard concerning this issue. I would assume most people here probably want the laws lessened for both incidents (FtM or MtF). It would be a good day when something like this pops up and it is known that a man would receive the exact same consequences if the shoe was on the other foot.

You're right, they probably shouldn't. But, if these magazines appeal to different demographics, trying to start an uproar over a magazine generally appealing to a male majority being placed on a "male" shelf is just childish. I love musicals, and if I saw a magazine about broadway in the women's section that I was interested in, I wouldn't make a fuss. I would walk over and buy the fucking magazine.
