2	Would you guys recommend wrestling or boxing? Generally, it isn't. There are probably a few exceptions. Stick to grappling martial arts or at least go to a place where they spar 100% a significant portion of the time. The main difference as compared to BJJ is that you are allowed to reap the knee while doing ankle locks. Non-sambists don't realize that heel hooks and toe holds are illegal. So you will see sambists utilize the straight ankle lock and knee bar more often than a Jiu Jitsoka, but it's still not considered a Sambo style of fighting to attack submissions.
