Lol, you would have the money to quit if you could only quit is an unachievable cycle. Its not really any different than smoking, you would be able to afford patches and treatment if you weren't smoking a pack a day, but you wont stop smoking a pack a day until you can get treatment...a classic catch 22

Not a conspiracy, big corporations found they could maximize profits by adding shit to our food that made it both more addictive, and changed our bodies for the worse, and that has negatively affected the lives of hundreds of millions of people. These same companies have actively suppressed evidence, lobbied against regulation and oversight, and funded counter research/propaganda campaigns. Its not all that different than the actions of big tobacco over the last century

It is normalized for macronutrients and calories, we get some of the macronutrients from different sources. This is just one potential way food additives have contributed to changes in our bodies out of our control, that contribute to the issue of obesity. We also have an increase in chronic inflammation, an increase in depression/anxiety, and countless other issues out of an individuals control. All i am saying is this is a far more complicated issue than a simple balance sheet like you suggest…
