I agree with pretty much all of these. I am less hands on than I used to be however. If something can be outsourced for less that $100/hr I'll usually just hire a guy, so small engine and carpentry aren't in my wheelhouse. These things are $15-50 an hour and they're 2x as good as I ever want to be at a side hobby. Strongly agree on the SHTF skillset however. Guns, MCY, boats (fuck ya), triage, camping are all STRONG skills to have in your back pocket.

It's not really a currency yet due to fungibility. I don't buy lottery tickets or go to the casino, so crypto is as close to gambling as I get. Kind of. It's a profession that is dependent on an information imbalance. Auto sales used to be the same way, and now the customer can use an app to see what the last five people paid, dealer cost, etc. How long before an app comes out that performs 95% of the functions of a realtor for 1% the price. I love to boil this one down to: "Women don't work as hard" That pretty much covers it. Softer jobs, fewer hours, 10 year maternity leave, etc. Women don't value hard work, and hard work pays better.
