I honestly think he was just trying to defuse the situation. Most people, even bystanders, don't like conflict.

Seeing friends even in our late 30s... Yeah, there's often a reason why people are still single into their 40s. I've heard nightmare after nightmare about online dating in one's 30s. So her buffoon comment shouldn't be construed as being choosy. I don't understand the vitriol, either. She's regretting probably having unreal standards, for letting certain people slip by in her life. This isn't PPD material, this is just what happens when people think something better is always on the horizon unti…

My sister is a trashy attractive woman. On numerous occasions she filed or threatened sexual harassment against her coworkers. I'll never forget how one time she finagled a pick-up truck out of it. While sometimes it was legit, other times I'm positive she flirted to get what she wanted. When the advances became too much she threatened with sexual harassment. The flip side to "Me Too" is that there are many women who abuse the system and either lead men on to get what they want or act up to get …

No skills, that's how she is (looks to be) nearly 40 living with her grandfather. I have two younger half-sisters who had more support than my father gave me: He helped them through college and he gave them monthly stipends for nearly a decade until recently. The older of the two is 36 and the younger just turned 30. Once cut off from my father both of them asked to live with me and my wife. They barely call me and when they do they want something. I'm 100% positive that the older of the two is …

I'm with the dude. What people are missing in support of the woman is the timing: Say he didn't suspect that she was playing games. We all damn well know in advance if it's looking like work is running over. Doing this literally with an hour to go/last minute is completely disrespectful to the man. I've actually had to stay late at work like this and telling my girlfriend (now wife) was the thing to do in those early days of dating. I usually had a few hours before the date. Contacting last minu…

Games, games aren't healthy behavior. No games equates to a healthy relationship. People really need self-reflection on why they crave power or create drama in a relationship. Relationships should be fun and supportive, not about breaking somebody down to do what you want.

As a 6' 2" person, I would never date any woman at 5'. It's weird. My wife is the shortest at 5' 5" and I typically dated 5' 10" to my height. The height disparity becomes really, really awkward if it's like that Tekken nut.

People really do buy into "She had money therefore she's a good/better person than I am". Smith was a disgusting whore and wannabe actress. She went pretty far for having no talent.

kk1116, my father-in-law was trans and that experience (as well as knowing and working with some in a large city) just cements in my mind that transgenderism is a mental illness, a manifestation of one, or a result of autism. That FIL shot himself in the heart by the way after making life for my wife and her family hell. Trans "women" should not be allowed to play in female leagues unless they exhibit a similar range of muscle mass as female professional athletes.

Yup, OP, everybody likes to pretend that they'd be the bigger person in your situation, but when push comes to shove most people would've done what you did. Good for you. She wasn't worthy of that sponsorship.

As far as average intellect? Yes. Men straight up have better spatial awareness and logistical planning. That translates well into chess. High geniuses tend to be male, but I'm guessing there has to be something in the Y chromosome that lends itself to this. Do not turn this into a women are inferior thing. I've admired plenty of women who had strengths (even in leadership) where I've lacked. There are many trade-offs between the sexes.

There was a recent study that demonstrated average (emphasis on average) strength between sexes. The researchers found that the weakest man out of the pool of men studied was stronger than the strongest woman of her pool by a significant margin. There are clear divides in sex when it comes to forms of labor. Women are scientifically proven to have less spatial awareness than men and they are clearly weaker when it comes to physical strength. Women are better at organizing the day to day, vastly …

See it in Philly all the time. This isn't the 1920s, there are plenty of places to get free food if need be. It's safe to assume that beggars want drugs when asking for money and many beggars can make hundreds a day. There's a woman in Philly known as "The Crier" and she's been seen pulling out an enormous wad of cash.

I more or less just posted the same thing. It's still prostitution of some form. It's sad because many of these cam girls don't see the long term picture. When the money ends is when the real pain begins.

We all make choices and most men who aren't just looking for a lay would not go for a woman like this. There's no double standard; she is what she is, but she's clearly in denial and justifying to herself why she does it. Prostitution, whether legitimized through the lens of pornography or not, is still prostitution. It says much about a person, how much he or she is worth, if a person chooses this path. At my lowest I never turned to prostitution and I was once nearly homeless. I probably could…

Is the comic book industry really going full retard? The last comic that I ever read was The Runaways in the mid-2000s that my younger sister had lying around. It was like reading an awful episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer with all of the teenaged angst and melodrama. I read comics in late 80s/early 90s and those comics were awesome. They were hyper focused on the plot, adult (the Wolverine series was amazing), and the characters didn't have a mess of identity issues besides not knowing their …

Father-in-law was male to female. He shot himself last year. I suspected he was autistic, lo and behold a paper comes out this year pointing toward higher rates of autism in transgendered people. Father-in-law was a mean, self absorbed person. The world was against him despite my wife supporting him. Everything had to due with his sexual identity which is not healthy no matter what sex you are. I mentioned autism because so many trans people associate different feelings with gender. Only women c…

My older sister is like this. Pretty girl, but pretty in the Jersey Shore sense. She dated many easily led meatheads and I only ever respected two of her boyfriends. She cheated on the two guys who were the kindest to her. She's now pushing 40, has two kids, still bullemic, currently in divorce proceedings, and she might have COVID-19 from going out to bars. No idea about the coronavirus confirmation, I've been socially distancing myself from her for nearly a decade. People like her are awful, b…

Lost, not a fan of your approach to these responses, but I'm with you. I can't believe people buy into this B.S. female sexual empowerment garbage. You're right on the money. My sister was exactly like this woman. Attractive/trashy and always led guys around. She ended getting used up, married, had two kids, and she's currently divorcing with no marketable skills in the middle of the pandemic. There are an awful lot of thirsty, pathetic men out there and those of you saying that she'll land on h…

Carol Burnett, dude, she was legitimately good. The actress in The Righteous Gemstones and Vice Principals, Edi Patterson, jokes like a man. It's rare to have a funny woman who can hold her own with men. Tracy Ullman, by the way. She is amazing and her HBO show was fantastic. What an underrated female comedian.

Might delete this if it gets taken the wrong way, but I deal with this living in West Philadelphia. FYI, West Philly isn't the hood like you saw in Fresh Prince, it's a multi-cultural haven with tons of hippies, punks, and LGBTQs. Basically, a ton of misfits live here along with college students. This is not to sound douchy and it's completely relevant to OP's statement, but I'm 6' 2", well-built, art school type, and let's just say I had numerous modeling scouts approach me when I was younger. …

People are too short sighted. You're absolutely correct though. I have zero social media presence. I abhor social media. Googled my high school ex to show my fiancee how dumb she was. You know what comes up? Her YouTube videos and articles promoting her pyramid scheme drop shipping business and her account of her self abortion (by pill) on a group hike in Vietnam. Yeah, real smart. Guess it works out that she married for money because putting it all out there like that is unprofessional. In the …

The thing that I've noticed is that cam girls, and I guess OnlyFans (keep seeing it and didn't know what the hell it was until recently), are all short lived. These girls have a window of 2 to 3 years if they're lucky before men lose interest in them. With so much over saturation I imagine that window is becoming smaller year on year. It's a trend. Sooner or later there won't be much money to be made.

You know, there's much to be said about not settling for a partner and for asking out people in person. The internet has made cowards of people too afraid of rejection and hearing the word "no". I swear that the reports on growing superficialty in the U.S. due to social media are accurate. People seem to focus more and more on the wrong things in relationships. Working in catering, I've seen an uptick in "marrying for money" weddings in the past 2 to 3 years. This can't be a coincidence.

I'm 36 and about to get married. My fiancee and I met at a show almost 10 years ago. I online dated a bit, but I found meeting women in person is best. Go to coffee shops, go to bars, do large group events. There's no substitute for asking out a woman in person. People are becoming too afraid of rejection. I can't believe that this porn promoting is even a thing. Can't you flag their accounts? I'm sure that it breaks T.O.S.

People think that because my fiancee is covered in tattoos that she's ultra left. I've heard the craziest shit said to her by other women because they are way off the mark with her views. Center-left is a thing. We're both progressives and we have been Bernie supporters for a long, long time.

My girl has nannied for many wealthy Philadelphians. She told me that it was insane that despite raking in at least several hundred thousand a year that many are virtually house poor due to the rate at which they spend money. Case in point: The family she works for now bought a $1,000,000 farm and now the house needs tons of work, but the family is always "waiting" on money. Meanwhile the dad bought a ton of four wheelers, chickens that keep dying, etc.

/u/dekachin5 used Roast ...It was super effective! For real though, this is my older sister and her life played out exactly as this guy described. To a T. She fucked and dated Jersey Shore type bros for years, turned thirty and had a freak out, settled and married an older man, had two kids; she's 39 now and getting divorced. She has no skills, she never finished college, and I don't think she's worked in a decade. I have absolutely no idea what she's going to do to get by.

Jesus Christ, if you bothered to read my comment... I actually said that there are fantastic nurses out there. Many, however, are simply awful. Not every nurse gets ICU certified or specializes. That is not the norm and I am damn well aware of that. I will say that your school experience is no different from mine. Everybody puts in a grueling amount of time in college. Don't make yourself out to be a martyr.

My father's a PhD, started in pharmacology, and I worked as a pharm tech through college and then some. So I did absorb some knowledge. It's not that difficult if I, a tech, going to school for painting, could learn it. Many interactions aren't even drug specific, they're drug class specific. It's honestly not that difficult to remember. Again, lots of dumb dumbs going into nursing over becoming teachers who shouldn't be working in the field.

It kind of is. Hospitals are in such dire need that complete and utter morons are often nurses. It's kind of a joke that nursing is a four year degree. The coursework; a monkey can do it.

Nurses are given too much credit by the media. One side of my family works entirely in the medical field. A nurse friend of my stepmother's taught nursing in college before retiring and she left earlier than she wanted because the dean told her to pass virtually anybody along due to the nursing shortage. She said that after one semester of having to pass nurses who couldn't even perform addition and subtraction with fractions, she quit. Many nurses are dumb. We need to remember that nursing is t…

I fucking hate people. They worship these celebrities because they fantasize about being famous themselves. Kobe was a piece of shit. From time to time I have to interact with sports players in my city due to my job. They're all dumb, egotistical assholes. They played a game well and society treats them like they cured polio.
