It just seems like a double standard to me. How can women expect to gain awareness from men about women's sexual harassment by doing that very same thing to men? I'm all for a good laugh now and then, but this just doesn't seem right.

I can certainly see your point, and this is exactly why I presented an opinion rather than a judgment. This is not a sort of topic where there is a definite right and a definite wrong, but rather exists in the realm of personal opinion. Certainly :) I would be happy to. Sex is an act and a testament of love between two individuals. The use of sex robots would dehumanize the concept of sex and turn it from a natural act into that of an unnatural one. Love and attraction play a big role in sex, so taking that away would degrade its importance and value in the eyes of both men and women alike.

However, there aren't any threads in support of it either. Which would mean that this is not a gender related issue to begin with but rather an ethical one. The only reason this post is on the subreddit is simply because of the way the article attempts to create a gender-fueled debate so that the article gains traction simply on those merits. I would be interested to hear your opinion of Men's Rights Activists in light of our discussion.

Robots used for sex shouldn't be a thing altogether. I don't know why you're assuming that we think sex robots for men are fine without even asking the thread for their opinion. Just because we stand up for men's rights doesn't men by default that we are sexist toward women, we just desire to have a voice as well.

This is exactly why we as a people need to stand up for men's rights just as that of women's rights. People often times consider men as privileged and just write them off as such, without recognizing the ramifications for looking after certain demographic groups at the expense of neglecting others.
