I'm talking about a court ordered you to pay X amount a month, and now they have to make sure you're paying X amount a month in goods and materials instead of you just writing a check. Also it would be trivial to setup a child support card similar to a food stamp or WIC card that will only allow the payee to purchase certain items. That's why the courts just have you give money. You're also asking for the courts to go through all the receipts of every parent who has to give support. This doesn't make sense if you think about it logistically. The court ordered you to pay a certain amount of money.
