As I understand it Bouchard recently pushed back on the peer group explanation as well. He claims that variance in personality is "idiosyncratic" (his words), i.e., its random. So according to Bouchard, the only variance in personality that can be explained literally is genetic. Im not sure how Judith Harris countered that assertion. I should admit here that I myself didnt read the studies that Bouchard support Bouchards claim; the claim itself was made on a Sam Harris podcast. Ill see if I can …

Hes right. See the research of Judith Rich Harris. The impact of how you were raised is so small it cant be measured.

Shameless comment necromancy. Im a hobby powerlifter, so Im dimly capable of opining on this. Racking server equipment isnt a good analogy, thats closer to a deadlift. Most guys will deadlift enormously more than they can bench. My 57 kg little sister is an internationally ranked powerlifter and cant bench 200 lbs. To give you an idea- Im 85 kg (187lb) I squat 150kg (330lb) I overhead press 75 kg (165 lb) I deadlift 210kg (462lb) I bench 105 kg (231 lb) Im 167 cm (5'6.5") Im 42. So my deadlift e…

Oooh, I used to work in drug design, and Im a hobby powerlifter who benches 220 (105 kg). Oh. Shit. Im 42.

There isnt a genetic trait that correlates, true. There IS a chronological one- age. Men of all ages rate women in their early 20's as most attractive. Women of all heights rate men >6' as most attractive. Being >6' as a man is like being a woman with eternal youth. On the other hand, being my size, 5'6.5", is the male equivalent of a woman hitting the wall directly after puberty. Imagine a 40 year old woman who put off relationships in order to focus on her career. She then tries to find love, g…

Not being snarky, want to get the peer reviewed citation for this. Im currently getting dating advice from my friend- Im 5'6.5" and hes 6'. I try to explain to him that what works for him wont work for me. He has come round a little bit, and that piece of blackpill was soul shattering for him; a big part of his ego was that he was good with women and I essentially dropped the bombshell "no dude, you arent good with women. You're just tall". I want to show him how important height is, and would r…

I dont- because I cant fantasize sexually. I dont watch porn and I dont fantasize while masturbating either. Im the standard low libido male, if a woman actually found a guy that didnt think about anyone else but her in a relationship it would necessarily be someone like me- and they'd hate it. I speak from experience. Im a very boring lover; without an internal fantasy life there is no mechanism to spice up your sex life, which is typically done by the guy. I have no kinks to explore, nothing r…

There is absolutely no question the responses would be the same. I'm honestly sort of down with a lot of blackpill ideas since I started coming here a few days ago, but every now and again one of you comes out with something like this. Yes, a man would get largely the same response. A million guys would come out and tell the OP to touch grass, because almost every guy has fantasies about someone else while fucking their missus.

My friend explained this to me by saying that it would be like wearing someone elses underwear.

BJ Penn is a good example. I gym as well but its pure strength. Im not fat, but you'd never call me skinny.

I actually have. It was after she had sent him a few signals and he didnt make a move. He was in fact gay. Or we thought so back then. Turns out he was trans.

Dont know man. I dont know if im redpill, bluepill, or blackpill. I do know im unattractive. I made my peace with it. You can too. Idk man, just let go. There will be more serenity that way. Even being betabuxxed is ok if you're happy

Actually its more redpill tbh. Bluepill is pretty easy- just simp. Be a good guy. I'd do that anyway. Im perfectly fine with the idea that whiteknighting wont get me laid.

Tall men with down syndrome are more sexually successful on average than short men without it. Utter bullshit.

Never really thought about it this way. Im a first gen immigrant in Australia, half pacific islander half white. Im also short and bald, and neurodivergent. Im on 6 figures, I lift, and am university educated. Im spectacularly unsuccessful romantically. You could call me a little blackpilled, but not really worried about it, I made my peace with being unattractive in my teens. Its a bit sobering to realise I never stood a chance.

I think there's a theory floating around that extra neoteny for women tends to attract men that have good "fathering" genes.

Even when these guys convince me with their arguments, I never believed that women are lying about their preferences. They honestly think its true that they respond to traits like intelligence- thats obviously wrong. Nerds have far less hookups. And if they're afraid of phases within a relationship, I have some very bad news for all of them. Thats every relationship ever. Its easy for me to say, Im 41 and had my LTR. Yeah, we grew apart- growing and changing within a relationship is inevitable.

Understand, men cant know what you think. We cant inhabit your mind and walk around it. I often hear that women are attracted to intelligence. I have an IQ of 138, why arent I cleaning up? The answer is that womens stated preference is very different from their actual preference. So you saying a few posts ago "Im telling you my preference . . ." Is just not going to cut it. What these men, indeed all men, are trying to do is decipher the code. The red pill believes its about money, power and sta…

I gym. Not deliberately though. A friend of mine is what you guys might term redpill, and wanted to try lifting. My dad was an elite athlete so I knew how. So I went with him to teach him. He stopped and I kept going. Its not about the look. Im in strength training so I dont look good. But its really hard to think about how bad my day was or how im going to afford car payments when I have 150kg on my back. Really makes my problems seem small. Focuses the mind wonderfully

Because they've heard it before. Honestly? My own viewpoint is that its like cup size for men. Would you prefer a set of D's? Yup. Are you ok with an A cup? Absolutely. Reading here for a bit, what these guys want isnt sex, or even relationships. They want their partner to be out of control for desire for them. They want to turn womens heads and have them rush to the window to watch when they take their shirt off. They want the object of their affection to be nervous and giggly when they talk to…

I’m Surprised 6.5 was noted as large by your exes but that’s a good thing That was years ago. She was my first, I was her second. I have read a study that when woman are picking an ideal penis size based on blue dildo's (blue to remove any racial preference), and the measurements arent supplied they tend to pick 6 inches for a relationship and 6.5 for a one night stand. My last partner (basically my wife) told me I was bigger than her (thugmaxxed? Is that the word?) Ex. My exes may have been try…

Im an ex molecular biologist and this is half true. Testosterone is a pro hormone of DHT, a high test level will necessarily lead to a higher DHT conversion rate. My own hair loss accelerated after taking testosterone. However, hair sensitivity to DHT is important. Note that I said a sign of high test, not proof. It absolutely does signify that, its just a noisy signal.

41, bald (dont believe its a problem as its a sign of high testosterone), short 5'7", VERY weird (nuerodivergent, aspergers and ADHD), im told by multiple ex's that Im large, and had the figure 6.5 inches thrown at me (she was in disbelief that I didnt care and had never measured). I work out and im as strong as an ox (180kg deadlift 3 reps, 150kg squat 2 reps, 105 kg bench 2 reps, 75 kg press 1 rep; currently 83kg in weight), but I dont workout for the girls so my body doesnt look good Earn 6 f…

Would you like to judge? I suppose I have improved my appearance in a way; I've been lifting the past year. Its all strength training though so I look big boned rather than muscular.

This is actually a pretty standard reply. There is an assumption that if a man in unattractive and knows it, it must be the source of insecurity. Im unattractive, I know it, and, Im ok with it. Ive had a long term relationship; 12 years. It sucked. Ive never been flirted with, never had a girl giggle and play with her hair. But thats ok; its not an experience I care to have. I honestly am as bad as I think I am- but that isnt shattered self esteem or depression talking. Im so egotistical im bord…

Ive never posted on this thread before, im not into the pill stuff. I see black/red pill as irrelevant if true, you should treat all people, including women, well even if its pointless or doesnt get you laid. For me its a hard 4. Ive never been flirted with, as far as I know, I dont know what flirting is or what it entails. Ive never had a woman call me just to hang. Ive never seen a woman giggle or play with their hair while talking to me. In my case, Im diagnosed on the spectrum, and such soci…
