Agree. Also, it's dawning on me that it doesn't really get "easier". We' re all just stronger, and I am extremely grateful for all the obstacles I encountered because they definitely help me navigate through the tougher times that await.

I just turned 32, too. The company I work for just announced some lay-offs -- it was the best job I ever had after a streak of so-so jobs in my mid-to-late-twenties. But it was also something I've started to dread. The only thing scarier than not having a safe 9-to-5 job is having a 9-to-5 job for the rest of your life. I'm very sorry to hear that. I understand what it feels like to have someone you are somewhat dependent on emotionally say they are thinking of leaving you. Self-fulfilling prophecy indeed. The sooner we realize we subconsciously make our thoughts into reality, the faster we can prevent such from happening. Hope you get over what happened with her -- it'll make you stronger!
