1	Selective Service No I did not get a response from them. But I did specify in my message that I do not have the time or money to pursue any legal case about this, because I honestly don't. If I'm not working steady, I'm basically going to lose my home as I'll fall behind on bills within a month or two. 1	Selective Service So Update: My congressman can do nothing other than search for my non-existent registration. I'm told that I have to write a letter explaining why I did not register and the final determination will be made by the agency administering the benefit, which would be the post office in this case. 3	Selective Service Yes. Trying to correct the issue has been talking to a wall over and over again. All the Selective Service office could do was send me a letter, which didn't really address anything, and basically say "its up to the agency administrating the right" which in my case is the post office. On one hand, NO I do NOT believe this is my fault and I do NOT believe a person with a flawless background check without even a parking ticket, should be treated as they are not up to standards because they do not have their name registered for something that hasn't mattered since the 70s. That's just in my personal situation right now. 5	Selective Service I would LOVE to register, since apparently registering when I was 18 didn't work. But the problem is you cannot register past the age of 26. Which is why this is even more absurd. I'm not even allowed to CORRECT this problem. It is completely out of my hands and I'll just be told it was "My responsibility to register" between ages 18-26. Yet what in the hell could I have done? 3	Selective Service Yes I have a drivers license, and I'm a registered voter, and I own a gun, none of these things caused anyone to alert me that I didn't have a record on file registered for selective service. My bosses searched and I am definitely not registered. I obviously did not knowingly not register, to my knowledge I did back when I was 18. My dad even remembered driving me there.
