I don't accept being friends with people I'm dating. If someone I'm dating says they just want to be friends, I respond by telling them that I already have friends and that I'm happy with my friends but that I respect her decision to no longer date and will move on. I'm not playing this BS game with people. I'm not dating to make friends.

I see this kind of stuff everywhere where I am. Women I have connections to as friends have openly admitted to me that is what they are doing. Its not everyone. There are absolutely genuine people out there. But, there is a ton of this BS going on right now.

This is all over the place in the dating world now. Women like this take advantage of men who are willing to follow them around and buy them stuff for literally nothing in exchange. no date. No relationship. No nothing except buying more stuff. She made her decision and shut him down. Its not like they know each other. Once you reject me I've moved on especially after only 2 dates. I'm not anyone's back up plan.

Agreed. As a 39M, I have had this happen to me a few to many times. I'm very conscious of the women who are dating to get free meals and the like. This particular woman clearly knew she wasn't ready to date but also can't be alone apparently. If there is no dating, move on. I'm not funding anyone's entertainment. There is far to much of that BS as it is out there.

The part about bringing a friend was meant more about younger people dating. I also get dates although I'm around 15-25 in a given year. My experience is less about that than about getting legitimate ongoing interest. Never had as much trouble with that when I was in my teens or my 20s. I was obviously commenting very generally.

My personal opinion as a single 38M is that the dating world as a general statement is better described as rabid dog crap. The available apps have massive amounts of bots and if you aren't looking like Thor or Tom Holland or someone with those body types, you get passed over much easier.
