14	Does the demonization of men in society contribute to gender dysphoria? I don't have the time to look for them, but I feel like if this is the case statistics should show this. But, sometimes it unavoidably comes up. I'm in the UK so this Sarah Everard thing was huge recently. And, from my experience at uni, because I didn't tow the line and agree, my neighbour in halls now refuses to talk to me! We didn't even have any kind of heated debate or anything, she's just that single minded. It could be argued she blocked a prime minister from obtaining power, but a lot of that was his own decision - he didn't want to work with her. My dad's a doctor, which means that I don't qualify for any means tested scholarships - despite my parents not helping me at uni - because of his income. The counterpoint of course is that the understanding of friends and family might be lacking enough for the man to increase the difficulty of working through it. That is somewhat ironic isn't it, that this culture that's been propogated actually makes it worse - it's like although rape is talked about more openly, it has almost become MORE stigmatised because of how it's portrayed as basically worse than murder.
