Ysa cuz God forbid someone doesn't wish to discuss a topic because it's traumatic for them. It's bullshit. No such thing as ptsd, and if it were real, how the fuck is discussing a topic that triggers traumatic memories gonna hurt them? Pfft. Grow up. Yes. They should have stepped in at the beginning instead of letting it devolve. If that teacher or whoever would have stepped in earlier and de-escalated the situation by separating them when you see they are clearly both frustrated and about to devolve, the whole thing could have been avoided.

Well usually you don't use pickup lines as your first line. I know thats what they're intended for but unless you're clever about it it doesn't ever work out. On the know your audience thing, depending on who it is, you could prolly get a good assumption for how they'll react before hand
