Sorry. Your username, and history regarding TRP makes it impossible for me to support your post. Though I consider myself an egalitarian rather than an MRA, I advocate for the respect of the MRM, and as long as it is intersected with Red Pillers, I think it is just as impossible to be taken seriously.

Granted, this story may not be true. But you seem to be under the impression that it is true, so let's just assume it is: Maybe he does want to know the child. If he does, then he would probably contribute what money he has to make it work. But let's assume the more probable possibility. That he was a kid taken advantage of by a "fully-functional" adult. I, at 21 years old, make rent, bills, and the occasional night out on the job I have. This kid has to pay more than my rent for child support, …

While it does involve the idea of a 'patriarchy' (that is, a set of gender roles that affect both men and women by forcing men into a 'superior' role and women into an 'inferior role'),... This is the first time I've seen the word patriarchy defined in such a way that I would definitely agree with it. However, the word has been taken out back and shot so long ago, that there's no hope of resurrecting it.

I will never understand any person who considers themself academic or intellectual who simulatenously calls for censorship of any kind of speech, clear hate-speech or otherwise.

That certainly is dark, but I don't know if we should call them feminists, as RadFem seems more appropriate.

I don't agree at all. I think inequalities exist, but not to a sweeping degree that men just have it rougher. I would argue that men have an easier time getting hired into post-college degree jobs.

In what way does feminism fight men's issues?

How so?

From what I've read, it seems to be the thing that both parties (still don't know if I'm using that right) use to welcome new members. The idea that I've taken from it is "give everyone a level playing field".

I often find myself biased, though I do try to curb it. And I agree that the things you listed definitely need to be addressed, and they are problems we face, but I find a lot that in addressing these issues, MRAs downplay and even devalue the issues that women typically face. You don't seem to be one of those types, but I have seen it and I think it has dangerous repercussions.

I see what you're saying here, but that makes it sound like you are just on this side of the fence to balance out the other. Why not make a push for everyone to move to the middle, where we can satisfy the most people?

I've always seen it is as MRA vs. Feminist with Egalitarian in the middle. It seems both the MRA and Feminism embrace certain aspects of Egalitarianism, but I feel that Egalitarianism demands the focusing to both sides and Men's Rights Activism focuses on just that.

I mean... I get your frustration. I would hate to be even mildly associated with TRP (just discovered it last week [seriously wtf]). Also, this person is clearly wrong in thinking that Not Feminist == Against Gender Equality, but I don't like how some MRA's just go off on people when the scent of a debate is in the air. They were definitely wrong, but seemed civil enough (no caps, bold, italics, etc.) whereas you (while, again, I do agree with you) kind of came off as overreacting (bold/italics,…

The problem for feminists is they still deeply crave to experience what only men can truly experience: manly pride. I don't actually think that's the case. I think you're right about women wanting to see the same pride that men see (e.g. women in women's races don't have the same fame, since it's not as popular), but calling it "manly pride" and saying that women yearn for it, sounds curiously close to a certain "penis-envy" theory that's pretty far out of left field. I don't think it's "manly p…

You're just kind of refuting the points without referencing anything. OP asked for statistics and figures.

Hundreds of years of inequality for us and with this one app suddenly guys are all in a fuss! I HATE these arguments. Like, how do people still think this is an acceptable argument. You are in COLLEGE. Attending CLASSES. Likely grew up in a fairly decent environment in a decent neighborhood with other children in relatively decent environments. Just because your ancestors were oppressed doesn't mean you are. Stop this.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
