"Now... you are either wilfully blind here, or you are a troll." I qualified that because you were attacking me for a poition that I didn't take or make. So yes. You were either being willfully blind or being a troll. "Because I don't take an extreme view that blames one gender." I was being criticized becaue I offered a balanced position that awknowlege people of sexes are culpable. Now... so many f-words and more personal insults. You sound upset. Did I hit a nerve? So I guess no politician is responsible for anything they ever do. It's all on their constituents. Got it. We should never hold a politician accountable, because everthing thing they do, and every vote the cast is all on the shoulders of their constituents. Voters are accountale to. I'm not saying their not. You seem to be inferring a lot of things and looking for something to be angry about. You sure you're ok here? It seems like there is something outside of this that you are bringing into thi…

You can use the word 'cunt' all you want, but when you use logical fallacies (ad hominems, appeal to authority, strawman, ect.), you'll get called out on it. I mean... you unironically essentially pulled the "I'm kind of a big deal" card. It's laughable.

And you call "girlwriteswhat" a troll. I'm sorry, I'm not generally a person who is interested in tooting my own horn. But I am arguably the most popular and mainstream self-described men's rights activist out there. I have the largest dedicated men's rights channel on YouTube. I've been interviewed by god knows how many media outlets about these issues. I've pwned Naomi Wolf, Cenk Uygur and David Pakman. Are you talking about yourself in third person? And using the word 'cunt' repeatedly'? And …

So we should cut off the heads of our Senators and House Reps because they voted a certain way because their constituents asked them to... Yeah, no. WOW! Holding people accountable and decapitating people are not one in the same in my world, but if they are in yours than I can see why we aren't meeting eye to eye.

I'm going to go in cirlces here. One poster spoke to systemic issues; another poster used a strawman argument saying that poster was at fault because he would admit women were responsible (which was a claim he didn't make). I pointed out that the concern about systemic issues was legit, and that men and women we…

I hold men who vote against men accountable for their actions; yes. You give them a pass. Got it?
/r/MensRights18/05/18 03:11 AM

Strawman argument on your part. I said men passed it (quantifiably true: you can' pass a law without the support of men because they make up the overwhelming majority of legislators). I didn't say they were "100%" to blame. That is what you infered. I don't blame everything on them, but I still hold them accountable for the role they play. You are putting this in extreme binaries. I can't hold them accountable, in your view, without blaming them entirely? What kind of logic is that?

It's like you only read 25% of what I wrote and were just looking for something to get upset about. If you look for something to be angry about, you'll find something to be angry about. I valdiated your claims, thanked you for sharing your thoughts, agreed with you, was respectful in my tone, and highlighted how the issues we face are propogated by both men and women and are often sytem in nature and then best you can come up with in response is 'bullshit'. These are fair assessments and fair points. My response isn't intended to suggest that there aren' women who conribute to the problem. The first comment from gbBaku was observing how there were systemic issues. That is fair and reasonable, and at no point does he say women don't contribrute to the problem, and for good reason, that would place things in a misleading binary. This is a great point. I've seen this on r/socialism, which is why I backed away from commenting there and just stuck to reading what was shared. They were attacking 'liberals' and 'progressives' because they were socialist enough, but treated every mainstream poltical figure, Bernie included, like the scum of the earth. Shooting themselves in the foot by splintering off like that.

I've seen this too. I shared an anecdote about crude comments I got from male co-workers about checking out teens and it got downvoted, which it and of itself is fine. People might have thought that it was moving away from the topic, and that is reasonable. But I was then accused of being a liar with regard to the anecdote, and the guy just went saying men get killed for accusations (which was odd becaue not only did I not mention any names, but I've never heard of a man being executed for speak…

Called me a liar again? Surprise? Used bold again? WOW!! Great tool! Last I checked, men were never put to death for making rude, crude, and tasteless comments, or checking out teenagers, so you are speaking hyperbolically and dishonestly. You seem to have two standards: one for yourself, and one for others. You attack me by calling me a liar without justification. Then when I take you to task for a pattern of behaviour that is overtly apparent in your posts, you get upset that I'm attacking you? Sounds like the behaviour of a fragile, hypocritical snowflake to me. See, you relied on an ad hominem with nothing to support it; I challenged your behaviour by pointing to an observable pattern in your posts. I have evidence; you don't.…

It's easy enough to find an answer to your question. Yes, more white people are killed by police (total numbers), but statistically, a Black person is more likely to be killed by police than a white persn. You were simply trying to obfuscate the issues because the position put forward didn't suit your world view. That is arguing in bad faith. As you do with all issues that challenge your fragile view of the world. I've asked you a question, you refused to answer it and went on with name calling,…

Took a quick look at your posts. It' pretty clear you have a history of dismissing things that don't suit your narrative. For example, Black people are more frequently victims of police brutality, but you say 'more white people' are victims. Yes. That's true, because there are more of them, but when you are taken to task on that, and aked to consider per capita rates, you say "Why bother?" Right. Why bother questioning your world view. You are a troll who argues in bad faith. Period. You don't w…

This guy is a troll. Don't waste your time. He's arguing in bad faith. He knows full well that even though the total number of white who are victims may be higher, the per-captia numbers for Blacks is far higher, but the truth doesn't fit his narrative, so he's just pissing all over people trying to get a response. Got throught he first page of his comments, and you'll see enough to know not to waste your time taking this troll's bait.

So you are just a troll who accuses people on the internt of being a liar when they say things that challenge your world view? That's pretty weak. You must be pretty fragile. Obviously you aren't arguing in good faith. So I'm moving on.

Hey... if you want to go to ad hominems and just call me a liar, that's fine. That's on you. There was a story of a woman who went into a public building, tried thowing acid on a man's face, and then set herself on fire, and the social media respone from women was "She's clearly hurting; can't people just move on from this. roll eyes You are clearly one of those people who will only accept things that support your world view and dismiss all others as untruths. When a guy says something like "the difference between whether you are a creep of confident is whether the girl thinks your hot", it means that guy is probably a creep. Good looking guys are often considered creeps, they just still get fucked because they are hot. And dude who aren't that hot aren't always considered creeps if they approach a girl the right way and read her cues.

Becaue it doesn't fit your narrative? It happened. I told them they were disgusting and to grow up. That was the end of the conversation. If it fits your narrative better, I'm sure they did this more to get a reaction out of me than out of a sincere desire to have me parade adolecents girls around them, but the story is true.

This goes both ways. I was a supervisor at a factory, and one 'bring you kid to work day' I had a host of guys in my department ask me to bring the 13/14-year-old girls past their section so that they could check them out. That's just the tip of the iceberg. This is not all the guys in my department, but when you get in the locker room, or a hyper masculine setting, it can get pretty dark.

To be perfectly frank, as I got past my teens and early 20s, I was complementing women I was interested in far less often, and when I did, it was on things unrelated to their appearance (their intellect, taste in books, movies, music, or art, their perfume, shoes, hair styles, and clothes so long as it was 'nice top' when their boobs were popping out becaue that would be too obvious). Not only is this just generally more respectful and tactful, making the women feel more comfortable, but I've go…

I had something like this happen. I went on a date with a girl (we'l refer to her a B). It was my b-day and she was a co-worker. We made out; clothes stayed on. I put my hand on her thigh (on top of pants), she pushed it down, I took the sign as a 'no go'. I stopped making out. We kept chatting. Then she started making out again. I put my hand on her knee, she pushed it down again. So I stopped again and went back to talking. But she started making out again. That time, I made no efforts to put …

I'v had extremely positive experiences when discussing male perspecitve to friends in social work/social work/gender studies. I explain, for example, how self-body image imapcts men. I note that while men don't 'lose weight' and get bulimic or anorexic, they are likely to take steroids. I talk about how they feel the need to meet standards of masculinity. Then I follow up by stating that when it is discovered that a girl is bulimic or anorexic, she gets support. However, when it is discovered th…

I love how her defence is that men aren't being killed en masse by maurading groups of women, so it's all right. So it's ok to say "Kill all *insert name of group*" as long a they aren't being targeted by maurdering groups of killers. She may not realize this, but between 1 in 6-8 men are sexually asaulted during their lives (usually a boys), and men make up almost 80% of homicides world wide. So... Fuck... how dense. Now... based on what's in the article, it seemed like he should have been considered innocent (not guilty) quite easily. But the jury did find him guilty of kissing a minor's breasts, and although it is a 'midemeanor', I feel like putting this guy on the sex offenders list seems reason based on that finding. So the title is misleading because they didn't reject all the charges. However, what this jury (and this is fucked) essentially says is that an officer, without any documentation or proof, c…

This is a fair point, but as I read through the article, I felt like the subtext was suggesting this. They talked about how this transition happened as women started entering public spaces, which alludes to the ways in which the goals of feminism have created this shift. I think those are reasonable goals/expectations. If women want to be in public spaces, that's great. More power to them. But there is an equilibrium here, and when there is a change in the balance, it is important to consider ho…

A woman in Leigh Raven is perfectly justified to speak out against the industry and leave the industry afer experiencing a scene like this and feeling regret. However, it wasn't rape. However, there is clear, documented, and continuous consent throughout this video, and it is documented. It's not rape. I feel like feminists really need to address the gender gap in fields like truck driving and mining. There is no reason that women shouldn't feel like the want to go down into a mine or spend their life driving a transport truck. We condition them not to do/want these jobs. However, I have no clue why feminists don't try to close this gap at the same time they want to close the gap in tech... oh... wait... maybe there is something else going on here.

The thing is, men actually feel pressured to say 'yes' or concede to sex with women they don't won't due to a number of social factors. The first is that they are taught to be concerned about women's feelings and put them above their own. We are socialized like that. So that's what we do sometimes. The other thing is that our masculinity if defined in part by the number of partners we have and our ablity to have sex and be heternormative. If we turn down sex from a woman (consent is our assumed …

As I said, I'm not sure about the context of this case as I am unfamilair with it, so what you say may be fair and accurate (and frankly, it sounds like you are right). I just think when certain things are taken out of context, they often seem worse than they might be when put into their proper context. Whether that might be intimate dirty talk, or jocular back-and-forth, what a person says in certain context when taken out seems worse than it actually is. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Well... in order to address a current issue, you need to understand its context, and that requires understanding its history. So... not entirely unreasonable. Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

That lady on the far right was annoying. She wanted to make assumptions about the person on the other side before she even had a chance to talk. I hate listening to the people on the far right and far left (politically, not on the screen) and how they don't even bother listening to other people because they just want to get in their talking points and start framing a strawman argument before the other person even begins to talk. Fawk!

No need to make assumptions about her based on her body weight. I know skinny people who are lazy, and chubby people who are hard workers. I know skinny people who eat like pigs, and chubby people who watch what they eat and exercise. Let's focus on the logical fallacies instead of employing them ourselves.

I realize the issue here (I think it should be legal all around), but I appreciate the sentiment to this law, though I recognize its limitations. Yeah... I found this pic of her here. She had pics when she was younger looked pretty hot... but either way, that stock photo they posted is classic click-bait of hot-for-teacher shit. Either way... I likely would have hit that when I was 15 or 16 'cause I wasn't getting any then.

Don't know if this is true, but let's assume it is for the same of a conversation on this, because even if this particualr instance isn't true, this happens... a LOT. This is one of those things that a lot of people don't stop to think about. When a woman touches a man's body, it's fine. Men are 'powerful' and can defend themselves, so women feel free to do whatever they want because they don't percieve themselves as a threat. However, there is social pressure on men. Then is a construct of masc…

They were both charged. He admitted; she didn't. Without a confession, I guess it was hard to prove in this case. But she had no priors. He had Smith had been convicted of 28 offences in the past, including domestic violence, indecent assault, theft and burglary. That no doubt played a significant role here.

Smith had been convicted of 28 offences in the past, including domestic violence, indecent assault, theft and burglary. Those are pretty bad. And 28? Yes... the other 4 offenses he had at the time were minimal, but he had 28 prior. I don't even want to know what 'indecent assault' is. Those are what like put the cincher in.
/r/MensRights20/12/17 11:52 PM

I'm going to guess that in this case it was the past convictions that weighed heavily into his sentencing. It is certainly true that women get lighter sentences for the same crime, but even when you compare, say, a white man and a white man who commit the same crime, but one has several (or in this case 27?) past convictions, then one will clearly get a longer sentence.

Flight risk is true. But they also consider the level of evidence against the person and the nature of the crime. I mean... there are people on drug charges who don't even have a passport that don't get bail. Bail is more about first, how good your lawyer is, second, how violent the crime was, third, how much evidence you have, and fourth, sadly, the colour of your skin.
/r/MensRights18/12/17 09:48 PM

Seems reasonable to be honest. They try to hard to protect the innocent victims (as well as the false accusers), it seems like the innocent victims of false accusations) as well as the actual perps should have anonymity until found guilty.

There was actually a case in Canada where a guy poked holes in the condom and got his gf pregnant. She had an abortion, then he confessed what he did to talk her out of if. She charged him with rape (which I think is understandable; I get that). A judge that sided with the man in the case (ruling that he did not commit raped) made that argument saying (and I'm paraphrasing): If we find him guilty, then that opens the door to charging women with rape every time they get pregnant in a deceitful ma…

I'm sure there's lots of slutty women with tats (maybe a higher rate), but I know lots of girls with tats who are in committed, long-term, monogamous relationships. The lying is also irrelevant. I went out with a girl when I was 28, she was 24 and she was a virgin (can confirm). She lied ALL the time. I'm a little confused here. Her testimony is "I woke up on top of him and he was having sex with me." Wouldn't she be the one having sex with him if she was on top? And what's with this "I wasn't interested in him, but I invited him back to my place to sleep on my bed with me and cuddle. But I was clear I wasn't interested in him." If he's seeing a new woman and having sex with her, he may be eager to have sex again, thus making it more difficult for him to see the "why not" that may be glaring in his face. I think he's more likely to be blinded while trying to reach the ring than he would be after reaching it. Great sex will work in the same way when the lust stage/honeymoon is in effect, yes, but once he gets sex, he's more likely to see flaws than while he was working to get it.

Guy here. The answer varies of course, but generally, yes. A guy will work hard to get laid, and he'll generally ignore character flaws. For example, if a woman is entitled, he'll look the other way and generally only notice the flaw after they've had sex or after the allure of the sex has worn off. That said... a guy tries to make a connection with a woman prior to sex, and if the woman holds off (for a reasonable amount of time), he'll likely make an effort to make thing special for her. "Three lives shouldn't be ruined." Right... just two: the victims and the child. The criminal gets a pussy pass. I cannot in any context imagine an instance where a drunk man assaulted his exgf to the point where she was brain damaged and the judge's response would be "Well... now that the assailant is the primary caregiver, I'm going to let him off and let him have custody of that child." Can we stop fucking saying 'cis men'? I'm not a fucking 'cis man', I don't identify as one, and I find it fucking insulting that people outside of my group keep projecting this term onto us. I am a man. Period. Man. Since when did we have to start putting a fucking adjective in front of that to clarify the fucking word? Jesus. I'm all for trans folks, and if they want to switch and call themselves whatever they want, man, trans-man, whatever... that is totally cool. But DO NOT tell me I have to …

There is no set number. Some couples are cool with twice a week, some are cool with twice a day. The important thing to remember is that there needs to be something regular. If you haven't had sex with your partner in two months, assume he's getting it somewhere else (and that door swings both ways). Yes, couples go through dry spells, but if you are going months at a time without being intimate, that is not healthy. I had a friend whose wife hadn't slept with him in TWO YEARS. Literally. She wa…

I don't think this is a fair assessment. He asserted his position and stood by it, he simply recognized that rather than using sound reasoning, or witty humour or sharp satire, he used antagonist language that would be construed as inflammatory. Seems like he stood firm, and apologized for his tone. He didn't succumb some brigade.

I'm not really interested in hearing what Amy Schumer has to say about rape, given that she talks about the time she raped a passed out guy and uses it like a funny anecdote and then makes it sound like people should feel bad for her because it's so hard for women who aren't conventionally attractive to get laid. If a guy told me he had a hard time getting laid and so had sex with a passed out woman, I'd call him a rapist. Why wouldn't we do the same for a woman who did the same thing. That said…

The crazy thing about this is that there have been cases where the woman in such a case keeps the baby and then files for and wins child support payments. Could you imagine the shit storm that would go down if a man raped a woman, got full custody of the kid he impregnated her with, and then made her pay child support? SMH.

Women are women. Men are men. Men on Redpill talk about how to pick up girls for casual sex, so why wouldn't women on here talk about how to pick up a BB when you need one? That's kinda how it works. Both sides should understand and respect the nature of the beast. Don't hate the player; hate the game. If an older woman picks up a BB and manipulates him, it is his own fault for letting her. He needs to wake up. This sub is just as much for a woman on the carousel as it is for a woman looking for…

I love Christina Hof Sommers. She is a little too conservative for me in some respects, but I appreciate that she really digs into the full context of the statistics instead of cherry picking. The scary thing is that feminists have actually video taped themselves burning her books. I mean... who wants to be linked to book burning? Yes, there are guys here who are justifiably upset, and perhaps their rhetoric may come across as embittered, but this is not a 'woman-bashing' subreddit by any stretch of the imagination. Great post! This goes for men and women. If you have changed, and your partner isn't attracted to you and you want them to be, it is on you. You can't expect a person who fell in love with X to be happy with Z. Whether this change is physical or a change in personality doesn't matter. This doesn't mean that you have to change if you like who you have changed into, but don't expect the person who fell in love with your old self to like it.

She was more concerned about cash for booze than cash for food. Toxic indeed! You feel bad for the kids.

I've dated a few. MANY of these problems have come up, but many do not come up with most of them. These are certainly things to watch out for. Though I might sound optimistic about dating SM, or combative to this view, I do agree with the spirit of it, and the overwhelming majority of these relationship will end. Bottom line is this: she chose a shitty father, and you will be a resource for her first priority, which is either herself or her children.

The paradox of dating single mothers: if she's a good mother, she will never put your first; if she puts you first over her kids, she's really not the type of person you want to be with. If you date a SM, you have to be prepared to be #2 after her kids. If you can't handle that, pass.

Marriage is bad for men and women. The way I see it is this: it means more for somebody to say yes every day, than say yes once. Moreover, when both parties know that the other party can leave at any time if they are unhappy in the relationship, both parties put out the effort to make it work, and if one doesn't (be it the male or female), the other is free to leave. It's so much better for both sides, I'm not sure why anybody operates in any other way.

Fair points. Law is about context. However, ignorance is not an excuse in the law. Neglect is an action through inaction. The assailant in the Stanford case could have likewise simply said "I didn't think I was hurting anybody because she was passed out." That doesn't excuse the crime or the act, or the end result. A child is dead and it is directly the fault of two people whose action, or inaction, caused the death of their child. Somebody who kills somebody by swinging a bat at their head and …

While I agree that this might sound crass, I think there is an underlining point here: people are up in arms about a sexual assault and justifiably; why are they not up in arms about a child being killed through negligence? These kinds of rulings suggest that had the Stanford's victim's parent neglected her and caused her death, they would have gotten less time for killing her than somebody else did for assaulting her. Does that make sense? I don't think so. I agree that the above summation may …

Carbs are supposed to make up 40-60% of your diet. So, yes, you have to have them. But it's a good idea to avoid white breads and pastas and such because they are harder for your body to process and more likely to get turned into fat. I love the multi-grain, honey oat, and rye bread. I find it has more flavour, and with the multi-grain especially, it is far more healthy. As to meat: you don't need meat; you need protein. You're right to question this. The 'alpha' is defined by cultural upbringing. There is an innate biological element to it, but there are other factors. Two things: drop sets and negatives. It's important to have a partner for both of these. For drop sets, its a little easier without a partner, especially on cable machines. Women have more access and more location. Again, there is no argument here that points to the need to segregate. All this does is tell male addicts on the west end to go ahead and share.
/r/MensRights31/03/16 05:53 PM
-1

There is no argument for segregation here. There is no argument that points to a reason why they can't simply open up a second location that also serve men and women. Women are getting more access, and have more location. That is not equity or equality. And theirs have no basis.
/r/MensRights31/03/16 05:52 PM

Right, and during the segregation, when Black people still had access to education, the 'black people are treated equally' shit was pointless? Right. This is about accessibility. If you Google it, there are tons of studies/articles/posts about it. My understanding is that it is a generally accepted fact. Also, women suffering from addiction who go through the court system on possession charges, or charges related to their addiction, are more likely to get light sentences or even rehab, while men are held accountable for their actions. So not only to men suffer with greater frequency, but women get more help. It is part of this culture that expects all men to be self suff…

And there is no reason that the facility that opened in the west end of the city can't do the same. Unless of course the men in the west end aren't as high a priority as the women in the west end.

Nope. That is neglect. When your own mother can be bothered to take care of you, it fucks you up emotionally. "Sorry son/daughter, I can't play with you because I need to go get high, but I've paid a stranger to do it, and she seems qualified." And yes, this applies to wealthy people who simply can't be bothered to raise their own children. They are also neglectful in this respect. I understand the polemic aspect of this. Yes. But it simply doesn't translate in reality.

Yes, but it doesn't explain why the service needs to be segregated. If you had a grocery store where 20% of the clients were men, and 80% were women, would you open a second store that only serviced women? Of course not.

I give them the benefit of the doubt on that, assuming that the implication is that they are more likely to share needles, and therefore more likely to contract diseases through that.... assuming they did surveys among the people who use their service. But yeah... there is no way to know that for certain.

I agree with that sentiment in theory, but not in practice. There's a box with a cat and bullet holes in it. Is the cat dead or alive or both? Sure... it's both, but we all know the cat if fucking dead. In practice, if a mother is an addict, and she has children, she is certainly, 100%, neglecting her children. Simply bringing that problem near them is neglect. Maybe she is independently wealthy and is able to provide for them financially and still afford her habit, but what about when she's hig…

My only issue is that I don't see a purpose or benefit to segregation in this instance. Bathrooms? Workout facilities? Sure. Addicts getting clean needles? Not sure where the purpose of segregation fits here.

And on top of it, part of the reason is because Mothers are particularly reluctant to ask for safer supplies because they fear they could lose their children if anyone knows about their addiction, Levergood explained. Instead, they choose to share needles, which increases the risk of contracting diseases. Like... um... FUCK YEAH the should lose their kids. They are essentially saying: "This program helps mothers hide their addiction so they can continue to neglect their children." I understand t…

I will happily concede that this cartoon is misguided and is using a flawed analogy, but it does highlight some of the overt double standards society holds with respect to how men and women turn down parental duties. And if we look at adoption, there are overt differences. There is no longer a 'biologial' difference once the child is out of the womb. Should a man want to turn away from his parental obligations at that point, he's a scum bag. Should a woman do the same, she puts it up for adoptio…

I think the difference is women are allowed to put a baby up for adoption; men are not. If a woman wants to abandon a baby when its born, all she needs to is put it up for adoption. If a man wants to do the same, he doesn't have an option. And it works in the inverse. There have been cases where a woman did not put the father on the birth certificate, which gives her all rights over the baby, and then put it up for adoption without the father's consent despite the fact that he wanted to raise it…

For me it is about the double standard. I'm conflicted. I am pro-choice, but my biological fled the country so he wouldn't have to pay child support and I've never met him. But he was married to my mother and they planned me. But at the same time, I feel like the fact there is so much judgement on men who don't want to parent, and so much sympathy for women who don't want to parent, I'm just confused on the entire issue.

Let me interpret this. So you are saying that is we change the scenario, and then have two minors, I'd think differently? OF COURSE!!! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT TWO MINORS AT THAT POINT!!! You also say that if we change the laws, it changes the way the events are interpreted. OF COURSE!!! Stick to the facts. Don't change the variables. I read that one (or one like it) a couple of weeks back on r/feminism and r/twochomes and WOW, they did not like it when you noted that male soldiers commit suicide WAY more often. I questioned why it was turned into a gendered issue when it should be a issue about our vets and soldiers. Why would they focus on only the female soldiers? That's fucked. Like the men who are risking their lives don't deserve some air time? Even though they are more likely to be killed in combat, AND are more likely…

I appreciate you being partial with your edit, but your initial statement is a fair representation. Though some women do get prison, and some men do get probation, it is still clear based on stats that men get much longer prison sentences.

Should this sub-reddit be referred to as the 'white' pill now? Now terribly impressed with this post of some of these comments. I don't mind talking frankly about general approaches with gender relations, but some of the observations on race are more than a little troubling. I don't like an attempt to speak frankly and practically about gender relations and the expectation men have to navigate with generalizations about perceived race. I don't think it helps the broader conversation here.

I think for guys who have these fantasies, it is a kind of displacement or transference. Men have to deal with rejection a LOT. They are constantly being put out for judgement, and though many have great success, every man has been rejected or passed over by somebody. They are also forced to restrain themselves and their responses to these rejections, so for guys who have this fantasy, I think it is about either making somebody pay for the rejections, or tearing down the wall of social conformit…

I think the women who have rape fantasies have them for different reasons. I don't think this example really details them well. For women I've spoken two, there are three primary reasons (which frequently if not always intermingle). Guilt free sex. Society tells them they aren't supposed to put out. They are supposed to be chaste. Sex is therefore associated with guilty. If the choice is taken away from them, they are free to enjoy it because they didn't make the choice. The egotistical fantasy …

I feel the same way. In my experience, I can't say i felt 'violated', though I certainly was. And when I became aware of what was going on, I was, for some reason, worried about hurting her feelings. I could bring myself to say "What the fuck are you doing? I don't want to have sex with you." So I faked an orgasm. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that I had, in my state unconsciousness, somehow 'participated' in this, and assumed she thought she had my consent. Afterwards, because I didn't ca…

Sorry to hear that. I know a lot of guys who have similar stories. Perhaps not to the extent that you and myself have. But, yeah... if that was a guy doing that to the woman, he wouldn't have even been allowed in that room. He would have gotten his ass beat down and likely would have gotten kicked out of the party for groping a girl who was half passed out. As a man who was once taken advantage of while I was passed out by a woman I had no interest in, I can assure you, whenever a man tells his own story about being raped by a woman, the response you should be prepared for is laughter (though admittedly I do get less laughter from women than men). It's pathetic. When I was up late after pulling a double shift, I crashed at my friend's fiancee's place. Saying "I believe women" is just as reasonable (read unreasonable) as saying "I don't believe women." If universally believing one gender, and in turn not believing the other when they disagree about the fact, is what this person does as an editor, then they shouldn't be an editor. That forum (and I don't mean to say feminism in general, but many people in that forum) come across as entitled white middle-/upper class women (or supporting males) who don't want to hear about how they might happen to be oppressing other women of different class, colours, and ethnicities. This happens in a society where people can't see past the 'victim' label. Not all 'victims' are nice people. Nor are they emotionally mature. 95% of being a good parent, is picking a good parenting partner. If you pick an abusive man to be your child's father, you have already failed as a parent. Victim or not, a person who chooses an abusive person as a co-parent is demonstrating that THEY are too emotionally immature to raise a child. Reading the article, it does seem reasonable to obtain consent before moving things to the next level, though body language and physical queues should be sufficient. You see this among adult dancers as well. If you read about male dancers, they will tell you that women at private parties and in the club will grab their junk all willy nilly, and it happens with great regularity. Female dancers will have similar stories, of course, but it happens far less frequently, and when it does, security removes that guy. I've seen lots of guys (and women) like that. There is a huge difference between being a leach and being an alpha. When you use and manipulate people, you create a toxic relationship. You don't know where that person is going to wind up, either starting their own business, or getting in at a great employer. Thanks, but I dont' see the word 'mandatory' anywhere in there. I'm not being difficult, just thorough. Also, the kid didn't receive the minimum sentence. I was alluding to the fact that the judge made a point of increasing the penalty because he didn't approve of 'hook up' culture, WHICH IS legal. I wrote that the judge passed "a judgement based on his views about a perfectly legal activity that he objects to morally." This was in reference to the judge basing his sentencing on hook up culture rather than the act itself. Why you hav…

If we want to talk about the 'reason', then the reason is that somebody lied to him. Now, I can't say for sure about the 'mandatory' registration, though NONE of the articles I've read about the case mentions mandatory registration, but each of the articles does states that "the judge condemned what he called a culture of “meet, hook-up, have sex, sayonara, totally inappropriate behavior,” according to court documents." Also, the family is citing personal and moral biases in the sentencing, so t…

I suppose, but there is a big difference between a law that protects somebody's rights from being violated by another person, and somebody passing a judgement based on his views about a perfectly legal activity that he objects to morally. The judge didn't say: You are legally responsible for this crime. He said: I don't approve of hook-up culture, which is perfectly legal, so since I can't normally do anything about it, I'm going to use this infraction as an excuse to punish behaviour that is pe…

This was what was most upsetting to me. The judge's reasoning for the sentence was that he didn't approve of a part of the culture that is perfectly legal. This is moral policing.

They never put that stat in articles where a woman was raped; why would they put that here? Also, aside from being charged with making a false accusation, she should be charged with unlawful confinement/kidnapping, since she essentially used the police to kidnap this guy. And the cops are going on about how many hours they wasted and the time it took away from their families, but don't say jack shit about this guy have to spend time in jail because of this. WTF?

If she's going to cheat, she's going to cheat. It doesn't matter if it's with you, or somebody else. You might as well enjoy it.

I didn't say the 'same', I said 'similar'. Many men will trade up when given the opportunity. Even if their criteria is different you might not classify it as hypergamy, a man will still move on from one woman to another, whether it be because she is younger, or more attractive. Sure, the men that you describe would also like multiple partners as well. But who ever they have as a steady partner can be traded in when the next best thing comes along.

I have to concede that while I come to this forum more out of curiosity's sake, it is hard to really find any practical examples that work outside of the structure you describe. I think any reasonable person would have to agree that once they put their romantic notions asides, this applies to an overwhelming number of women, though a similar logic can obviously be applied to men.

It's about time. Viagra was discovered by accident over ten years ago, and I've heard feminist forums actually say how unfair it is that women don't have a similar pill that will help them (as if they need a pill to 'get it up', and as if they don't have lube in case they aren't wet). Meanwhile they've had the ability to control birth for over half a century, a power that men don't have in the same respect. I got ten bucks that says when men start getting women pregnant on the slide, there'll be…

I don't get the duplicitous logic. If a woman were to address and issue she had with the way men treated her, and he subsequent reluctance or inability to trust them (which would be understandable) the response would be that it is a patriarchal bias. When a man is treated poorly by woman and understandably is unable to trust women, he's a misogynist. I don't approve of generalizing, but it is a coping tool we use to great effect in many instances, and I can understand why some people can't trust…

She should be charged with kidnapping as well. Her false allegations led to those to men being detained for 18 hours. If a man held a woman captive for that long, he'd be charged with kidnapping. Using the police to do it for you is no different.

Some guys are wired that way. Not everybody can be an 'alpha'. There are guys who like watching their girl get railed by other guys. There is a certain degree of honesty in that. It isn't for everybody, but biologically speaking, it does serve to arouse. Semen will actually attack alien semen, and the biological desire to propagate your own seed can cause a 'stir'. And some guys want to feel like a hero. Everybody has their own thing. The world needs betas and epsilons.

I read this review of the 'documentary'. I thought it summed it up pretty well. Shared it on r/movies... didn't think to share it here. http://www.literaryramblings.com/hot-girls-wanted-documentary-or-click-baiting

I had a similar incident happen. My girlfriend dropped a mirror one night when she was upset and yelled in frustration, and the neighbours called the police. When they got there, she said she was alone, but they didn't believe her. They wanted my phone number and called my house at 2:00 in the morning to verify that I wasn't there. When I answered the phone I said I was not in the apartment, which they should know given that they were calling a number that was a land line with an area code that …

Ruining men, and I mean torturing them, is seen as acceptable if they are the 'bad guy'. It can be pretty sick. I mean, people make jokes about men being anally raped in prison all the time, and nobody seems to take issue with it. There is certainly a double standard there.

I agree with the sentiment, but as a polemic, this is very effective. These are exactly the same kinds of graphs that feminists use. I identify as a feminist myself, but I have to groan every time I see a 'wage gap' graph/post/video on facebook (which is quite literally almost everyday) when there is legislation in place that guarantees equal pay for equal work. I have never, for instance, worked in a job where I made a higher hourly wage than the women I worked with, but I HAVE worked in a job …

The daughter look identical to her mother, so it wouldn't have been a question that went through her mind. But they guy has a wife now and plans on having children with her, but his support payments are going to take money out of his own kids mouths and put it into the mouth of some kid a couple of addicts had. Don't get me wrong. I'm a socialist, but one person shouldn't have to take on that burden.

Sounds reasonable. I had a co-worker where I used to work. He was a solid dude. He didn't like me because he'd picked up a girl that had been in to me and whom I turned down because of her mustache. And there was another girl I met online who turned out to be 'big' but not 'beautiful' (I like the bigger girls), and he ended up picking up on her. Anyways... the mustache lady got knocked up, told this guy it was his, got child support from him, and then move the baby to the other side of the count…

No. We usually get yelled at for not 'getting it'. As a feminist, I find there are so many divergent beliefs in feminism, that any time you express agreement with one, the feminists who you agree with say nothing, while the feminists who disagree with you tell you how you are an idiot.

The entire article pretty much articulates that this is a ludicrous story that is fabricated. Not sure there is much to say about this.
